I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chrysella and especially about working with Asia. After my future mother-in-law passed away, I wanted to do something for my partner and his brother. I brought in some of her rings and asked to have them turned into two pendants--one for each of them--and Asia handled the entire process with so much compassion, care, and understanding. She was unbelievably kind and respectful of my grief, never rushing me and giving me time to process without worrying about getting the rings to her immediately. Even with a very short turnaround, she somehow made it all happen and completed everything before Christmas so I could give the pendants to the boys. Knowing how important this was to me, she went above and beyond. Throughout the entire process, Asia kept me informed every step of the way and truly made me feel like I was part of it. Her knowledge, warmth, and attention to detail are exceptional--anyone would be incredibly lucky to work with her. When I went in to drop off the rings, the shop owner and entire staff were just as kind and knowledgeable. The owner even advised me to save one of the rings instead of melting it down because it was a special Irish ring--something I had no idea about. That moment alone showed how honest and trustworthy this business is. I had dropped off my own necklace as a model for these necklaces, and when I went to pick up my necklace and the new necklaces, Asia had had the shop polish and clean my necklace. Again, just a small snapshot at how kind they are. Chrysella truly feels like a family business that genuinely cares about its customers. The pendants are absolutely beautiful and made with incredible quality. I am beyond grateful and impressed. I walked in and was quickly greeted with them asking me what I'm there for. A little taken back I said I'm here to look just my first time looking really and they said okay well if you want to try something you'll need to come back. It's best you make an appointment because (and she waved her hands around showing the store left to right) she said there was already a lot of people trying and waiting with appointments. So I said okay well I'm really just looking. Thank you. It was so awkward and the store was relatively small so I felt embarrassed and just walked out. It was as if she didn't want anyone else in the store while the consultations were going on.. which there was at least three couples inside with rings out at the time. Just a suggestion. If you want private consultations with appointments and no walkins then put that on your yelp and also lock the door during these appointments so new shoppers can't just walk in. To be honest I felt turned away and it left a bad taste in my mouth.. mind you this was my very first experience just looking at rings with my mom. Also I would like to say I walked to the goldsmith in the same shopping center about 200 yards away and was met with the most helpful, attentive sales woman. Her name was Osmarina. Customer service is great but in my opinion their prices for jewelry repair are unreasonable

I scheduled an appointment for engagement ring shopping on their website. My partner and I arrived early to be set aside waiting past the appointment time. When we were finally helped, the employee was rushing through the process and seemed annoyed when we asked questions. While they have a great selection of jewelry, for the amount of money I am willing to spend, I believe I will look elsewhere. I feel that since we are a young couple, they did not take us seriously. They informed us that they would send an email with the different prices based on the selections we made, and a week has passed. I had to email them just to receive the most basic reply, which contained none of the information I was hoping to obtain. I do not understand the hype this company receives for its subpar service. I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

Chrysella was very helpful with a quick stone appraisal. I was able to book an appointment online a couple of days in advance, was greeted quickly and helped on time. The appraiser handled my stone with care, cleaned it, and provided a safe container for the stone to ship to another jeweler in. While I waited on the appraisal, I was able to freely roam the storeroom to look at different pieces without being pressured to purchase additional services or items. I recently had the best experience at Chrysella with Andrew. Last year my husband upgraded my wedding rings. The original jeweler is in NYC, and I have been looking for a good trustworthy local jeweler to clean and maintain my jewelry as needed. I saw that Chrysella came highly recommended by other Yelpers so I gave them a try. I checked the hours on Yelp and they would be open, I planned to swing by after grocery shopping at Wegmans. I got there right at 10:30 am and walked in; the gentleman (Andrew) was surprised and politely explained that they weren't open till 11, but the door was open for a delivery. I quickly showed him the hours on Yelp and he apologized and said how can I help you (explained that they had changed the hours on google to 11, but had not updated Yelp)! I pried my rings off to show him the missing stone, and my concerns that the crawled prongs on my center stone was lifting. He carefully reviewed and talked through what he saw under the magnifying glass, and confidently confirmed they could repair my band and my engagement ring. I took a deep breath and embarrassedly explained that I didn't want to leave my most prized possession with a stranger. He smiled and understood completely; and had a plan. I could leave my eternity band for repair and when it's ready for pickup the jeweler could file down my prongs on my engagement ring while I waited! I was ecstatic; he took pictures for records then filled out some quick forms. With in a few days Andrew called to pick up my band and to work on my engagement ring prongs. I came into the store and to my surprise he is the jeweler, he is the the certified GIA Gemologist! Andrew took my ring to the open view workroom and got to work repairing my prongs. Within 15 minutes he had filed down, polished and cleaned my ring. In addition the store and jewelry are beautiful and modern. I will be back for all my jewelry needs in the future, thank you Andrew. read more

Asia and Andrew were wonderful throughout the process of ring shopping. My fiancé and I considered a few different stores and Chrysella was, by far, the best in terms of customization and being willing to work with us to get us our dream ring. Other stores we visited (especially large chain ones) had only certain offerings and customizing anything added thousands. At Chrysella, they customize each ring, making sure to work within your budget to get you exactly what you're thinking of. The customizations were incredibly detailed, including the shape of the prongs holding the center stone, how many millimeters thick the band should be, and the dimensions ratio of the center stone (not just the carat weight). In addition to perfecting the setting's details, they also hand-pick a diamond for you based on your requirements and Andrew truly went above and beyond in this area (even getting us a diamond 1 color grading higher than our requirement). After everything is designed, they 3D print a wax mold of your ring and let you see that plus the loose diamond in-person to approve both before making the actual ring. None of the other stores we visited offered a 3D printed prototype and that really helped us feel confident in our decision before moving into the final ring production stage. After you get the ring, they will handle any sizing issues at no charge. It's a local family-owned business that truly cares about getting you the ring you envisioned. So just like everyone else I did a lot of research on youtube and on the internet on diamond rings because I didn't want to get ripped off. After spending a lot of hours researching, I thought I figured out how I wanted to approach this. However, when I was doing the math, I still felt like it was very expensive and the process of buying the diamond it self online then finding a jeweler to mount it on a setting was inconvenient. So I kept looking and while searching for jewelers locally, I accidentally found Chrysella!!! I walked in one day and met Andrew. I explained the situation and Not only he said he will match any loose diamond prices online he said he will beat their prices as well, and he will work with me designing it. We compared the prices to what diamonds were being sold for online and what I found out was that the diamond I got was not only cut better and had a better quality over all, it was about $1500 cheaper than the online prices!!!! What a fantastic experience! LGBTQ+ friendly, gorgeous craftsmanship, incredible customer service, reasonably priced, and quick turnaround time. My fiancé and I visited Chrysella after we went to another local jeweler who was pretty cold to us, which is something we often encounter as an interracial lesbian couple. We decided to call Chrysella in advance and ask if they were happy to work with LGBTQ+ customers, and Andrew assured us that he they are extremely LGBTQ+ friendly, which they were! We made an appointment, and were able to be seen the same day. Asia and Andrew are so warm and welcoming, are very attentive without putting any pressure on you, and you NEVER feel like they're trying to "upsell you." Over the past two weeks, Andrew, Asia, and Eric worked with us to set a family diamond in a new setting for my fiancé, to turn a family heirloom from a pin into a necklace, and to repair, clean and resize a family ring that I'll be wearing as my engagement ring. They were in touch with us every step of the way. They listened to what we wanted, and they made it happen. They included detailed appraisals with photos for the items once they were done with them. Asia even walked us through the process of how we can insure our new jewelry. Considering we used stones and jewelry that we already owned, they weren't making a huge commission from us, but you'd never knew it with how well they treated us, and the care and patience they showed. You can tell that they are truly happy to help. The items they worked on are family pieces that are between 50-70 years old, and I felt so comfortable leaving them in their hands. They quality of the work is extremely high, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service is top notch--I can't say enough! Everything is beautiful-- better than expected! I have never felt more catered to than when I came into Chrysella. Nada and Andrew were fantastic, educated us on various styles, options, features, and stone options, and took the time to ensure that we were getting what we truly wanted. Before this, we had visited another store, where nothing even came out of the case for a closer look/try on! At Chrysella, I tried on probably 20+ engagement rings and after narrowing it down, tried on 10+ for each style to find the perfect set. We had an appointment (I highly recommend making one and getting there early as parking is less convenient and there was a street market that day). In total, we spent 1.5 hours - but others could definitely spend less. At the end, Andrew used the TV/software to quickly demonstrate a CAD design and what our final, custom design could look like - I was so impressed and jokingly "asked can you change the nail color to red?" And he DID! Great sense of humor, extremely professional, and great at what they do - I completely recommend Chrysella and thank Andrew and Nada! At no time did we feel rushed or unwelcome. The selection of rings here are just beautiful. My boyfriend and I stopped by one day after dinner to just browse. I ended up trying a few on and mentioned how I had a ring that belonged to my mom that I some how wanted to incorporate into a piece of jewelry. Andrew told us how they do a lot of custom made things in the store. A few days later we came back with the ring to just see what could be done but I ended up falling in love with a ring. Andrew explained the process for what they do in this shop to make everything one of a kind for your special someone. The ring is all designed on the computer and then 3d printed, so you can see what you're getting before anything. Andrew was very helpful at explaining the cut, quality, clarity, all those fancy jeweler terms so we can get exactly what we wanted. We never felt pressured into buying anything and that felt great. In the 3 shops we looked at this one was by far the cleanest, best customer service, nicest and just best place to go. I recently got a work promotion and some extra Christmas cash, so I've been wanting to treat myself to some new bling to celebrate. I usually get my engagement/wedding rings cleaned at DND in Fredericksburg and have always had a great experience, and when I heard the owners opened a new store in Woodbridge, I used it as the perfect opportunity to take a gander while on my way to DC for a Caps game. While DND is simple and classic, Chrysella is sleek, modern, and elegant. I was surprised at how large and open the space was, and I think it's a cool touch that the workstation where the jewelry is assembled is in plain view of both the store and the outside foot traffic. The jewelry in the display cases is absolutely gorgeous and I was surprised to find that the prices would match many different budgets, which is something I was concerned about. I was having a hard time deciding between something from the display cases or something a bit more customized. It's hard for me to visualize something that's not right in front of me, and Andrew was very friendly and patient with me while bringing up the particular jewelry I was interested in on the big screen TV and modifying the photo to give me a better idea of what the finished product (and price) would look like. I'm still deciding which one to go with and didn't purchase anything during my first visit, but I appreciated that he helped me with my different options while not giving me the hard sell or pressuring me to buy something right away. This review is a bit overdue but I visited Chrysella a few weeks ago and immediately was impressed by the overall look and feel of the store (it even smelled good). After browsing for a bit, the associates struck up a conversations with me. The staff was sharp, kind and attentive without being overly pushy or annoying, -I always appreciate that when visiting a jewelry store or any retailer. I was impressed by the selection and the diversity of the jewelry, but what impressed me the most was the jeweler on site. The store is open concept so the jeweler is part of the showroom so I got to see him work on pieces. To me that was very interesting and fun to watch. The jeweler offered to polish my ring and while he did that, I continued to browse the store and came upon a rose gold necklace that I loved. The staff allowed me to try it on and I am so glad I did because it is no my favorite piece of jewelry. I wear it daily and get all sorts of compliments. BTW my ring he polished looked like new; I had no idea they were able to polish rings and were so nice to do it without even additionally charging me. Overall, I would surely recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase jewelry or have their jewelry worked on. My only complaint would be that parking in the shopping center is very difficult. I visited the store on a day that was blistering cold and I had to park far away given the lack of parking spaces.
