After getting proposals from 5 contractors, we decided to go with LIMC for the project. Tommy and his son came by twice to ensure the measurements are correct and their proposal is one of the most competitive in terms of pricing. I wanted to have a concrete base for the pavers because my previous patio was set on regular gravel base and had settled unevenly after just two years. The whole project took about two weeks from start to finish. Tommy's crew worked efficiently without cutting any corners. You can definitely tell that they are experienced with concrete and masonry. We decided to go with the Cambridge Toffee Onyx ledgestone pavers with Mocha Border. For the driveway, we went with graphite colored concrete with pavers circle and apron. The result was spectacular. I have gotten so many compliments from neighbors on my driveway. The blue stone stoops were excellent as well. Darius is currently renovating my entire rented home. This has got to be the best contractor I have…read moreever worked with. Darius takes his time explaining to me everything he is going to do and when he will do it. He asked us what we wanted and that's what we got. Yes, he had plans drawn up by an architect but came to us to ask about areas we may have wanted to have modified or changed. (Not only is Darius the contractor; he's the new landlord too. He bought the home last year and began renovating it right away.) His crew is 5 stars. These guys really know what they are doing. It's a pleasure just watching them work, they are like a well-oiled machine each one complimenting the others expertise. He put in a stand-up shower with a granite bench along with a separate shower and full-size tub. And of course, he put everything else needed to complete the bathroom. He took down the wall that separated the kitchen and living and turned it into an Open Floor Plan. The kitchen has a granite Island, all stainless steel appliances and a nice deep sink with an excellent faucet. Not to mention the gorgeous cherry wood cabinets and pocket lighting. He added a bedroom and 3 more closets. One bedroom we are using as our office and another as a studio for Trish my girlfriend; she's an award-winning artist (we're in our 15th year, no marriage in the works; we've both been there and done that). We are also using the studio as a music room for me; I'm a pretty good keyboard player. Not only did he do the inside, he added all brand new Anderson windows and vinyl sided the entire house. He redid the parking lot from a great big patch of dirt to a beautiful huge bluestone lot behind the house with, of course, a new driveway to boot. How about 3 patios with a beautiful fence separating two of them that are next to each other. This home also houses two other apartments in it that (could you believe it) he redid as well! We used to have this tiny little cellar. Now it's huge. He and his bulldozer (Bobcat) actually dug a path into my cellar for the Bobcat to come in from and they dug down around two feet and enlarged it by about 300 square feet. The Bobcat actually drove in and out of the basement with loads of dirt digging it out to make the ceiling higher. He put in a laundry room and 3 separate storage rooms; one for each apartment. He converted it from oil to gas and added 3 gas units with 3 hot water heaters. He told us we will never run out of hot water. What else can I say? I'll let the photos do the talking!
