It is the place to go for cherry There main location is not camper friendly only the satellite location on 31 has space. But they said they are not doing you pick there so that sucks only been doing that there for over 20 years so we went to the main farm location lucky we did not have the camper in other wise we would of be screwed no where to go and then you had to go pay at one spot and then drive to another. Main location is. Or as good as the satellite location KEEP the satellite location open to you pick Prices really jumped up to but at least the Cherrys are amazing beer and wine they make is ok not my style but give it a try any way hope this helps especially people pulling campers or RVs read more

We make it a point to stop when we're upstate since the drive is over 4 hours to get to the Traverse City area. Lovely business run by very friendly people who seem to enjoy their jobs. Try the pies. Especially the cherry pie during cherry season. Apple pie is also really great! We usually grab an extra to give as a gift to one of our family members who lives nearby. Every chance we get, we tell people about your business, too. Hope you're able to stay in business for many years to come. It's lovely! Wish I'd thought to take pics. Delightful stop during a recent trip up North. We stopped in here for some cherry picking (sweet was just out, but tart cherries were in) and we saw a sign saying that they offered hard cider tastings! This doesn't pop up on any lists, so must be a new thing. We were the only folks there, and their cider line-up is pretty tasty! They have a nice area out behind the shop to sit down (dog-friendly) and try their ciders. Pretty solid. We then drove over and picked tart cherries for a bit - a perfect stop. Must visit! read more

A must stop every time we are here. They had fresh honey crisp apples this time, we each had to get one as they are one of our favorite apples! A mini cherry pie, YES! They also had apple, blueberry (had to choose between cherry and blueberry), pumpkin and raspberry. Different types of fresh bread, all smelt amazing! We picked up the garlic bread thinking this would be amazing with lunch as we always picnic lunch when on vacation up here. (We have found amazing views bringing our own lunch that you can't get sitting in a stuff restaurant). They have fresh cookies, lots and lots of pumpkins right now. Other items here as well. If you see it, stop and take a look, you won't be disappointed! Update: we tried the mini cherry pie last night. Best pie ever! Hubby said let's drive back for more. . We've ordered online from King Orchards for several months and until recently have been very pleased. Their product is excellent and the shipping has been reasonable. However in our most recent shipment we received a product that was not properly sealed and leaked into the shipping container. When we contacted King about the problem they offered a coupon with a discount on our next purchase but did not replace the defective product. Since a member of our household is immunocompromised we were not comfortable consuming a product not properly sealed and since no offer was made to replace the unsatisfactory item we will not use King Orchards in the future. read more

If you're lucky enough to be there during the season: fresh strawberry pie!!! They make the best! It's hard to find a fresh berry pie that doesn't use that canned, goopy pie filling because fresh doesn't last as long but they make them here and they are reason enough to stop! They are taking COVID precautions with hand sanitizer station, mask-wearing request, plexiglass to protect the workers and they are keeping the fresh strawberries at the counter. (Ask for them, don't touch). And the ladies who work here are very kind so if you're uncomfortable or need something, just ask them. read more

We were visiting Charlevoix and this was a fun activity. We picked peaches and also did the sunflower trail. Very reasonably priced and the staff was friendly and helpful. They followed all the COVID procedures and we felt completely safe. There is a U-Pick stand outside where you pay and get the bucket, so you don't even have to go in the market. This was such a neat little place. We stopped here on the road home from vacation up north, on my mother's quest for asparagus. Which happily, they had here! They also had a bunch of other stuff, including cider, cherry juice, all sorts of baked goods, and tons of sauces, jams, honey, and candy. The staff here was insanely cheerful- it definitely cheered us up. They gave us tons of samples of breads and cider and trail mixes, and happily chatted with us about what was in season and when. My sister walked out with a miniature pie, my mom was happy with her asparagus, and I got a good ole fashioned deli pickle out of the jar for a dollar. I am a frighteningly simple creature. When we left, the whole staff cheerfully wished us safe travels and encouraged us to come back for cherry season. It definitely made me want to return and do the U-Pick option. read more

I decided to check out this farm stand while looking for a few snacks for my road trip. While I was disappointed that it was not yet cherry season, I did partake in a fresh package of strawberries. I also picked up a personal sized pie with Balaton cherries (I think that the farm freezes some cherries for later consumption). and a cherry muffin for the road. King Orchards also has a selection of other in-season produce (they also had rhubarb while I was patronizing their establishment), fudge, various dips and salsas made from their harvest, and more. Their staff was also courteous and willing to encourage people to try different things from their farm store. read more

This is a great place to go to pick cherries, raspberries or other seasonal fruits. Beyond the fruit picking there is a charming farmers market. They have fabulous baked goods -- pie, fresh donuts, cookies, breads of all kinds. We like to stop there to get picnic goodies before going to the beach. The first day we bought apples which were outstanding, along with cherry fritters which were the best I've ever had. Not too sweet, not too much glazing. Melt in your mouth. Yum. The second day we took a cherry pie to go. Once again, they did an outstanding job. It wasn't overly sweet, there was a lot of fruit (not gloppy filler like some places), and the crust was wonderful.
