The staff was nice enough and I like the deals they have and how much online ordering is expedited. I will say I don't think they have as much menu wise as other places on Monroe's strip but I however liked how they offered BOGO on some edibles which is a better deal sometimes than the bulk stack deals. I did find some things on their menu that I didn't find at others and I liked how when they didn't have something in my order they tried to call to replace it and then when they didn't get ahold of me they at least replaced it with something close to what I got .. other places will replace it with anything. I do think their first time customer deal could be better when other places offer percentage off and a grab bag. read more

My first visit was a success. The online ordering was straightforward and a lot easier than some other locations (Ohio) for sure. The customer service was friendly and I appreciate the store layout. I really haven't seen many dispensaries with display like this outside of California. So, that was nice to see. Although, I don't know if the music volume is necessary. Maybe it's supposed to be a party atmosphere but then the budtenders have to yell and really that's why some of us don't go to bars . I might have liked to know more about other products but again- party atmosphere and the transaction that wasn't a preorder felt a bit rushed. Think dive bar versus relaxing speakeasy... this is the fun dive bar. Ok, enough analogies. I was pleased with the experience. I appreciated my new customer gift AND a percentage off would still be nice as mentioned by another yelper. The selection on edibles is decent and they seem to be well stocked unlike some others in the area. And the value was good with the deals they had that day especially. After travelling 2 hours, I can safely say this is the WORST dispo I've been to in michigan. Long lines, out of service ATMs, out of stock on marketed deals even when you get there in the morning. They seem more concerned about getting money out of you than satisfaction as a customer. The product that they DID have available was dry, stemmy, leafy. What baffles me is they have higher prices than all other places in the area, with some of the lowest quality. Posted deals seem to be a good value - but I'm not sure they even exist. The deals were sold out both times I've been here, In which they tried to bait me into spending more for a different 'deal'. All in all - if you find yourself at king of budz in monroe.. literally just walk outside and throw a stone and you'll find a better all around dispensary. read more

Tried King of Budz and wasn't disappointed. The budtender was great, and she made me feel good about my choice. I got out the door with some fresh product, and definitely felt I got a great value. I got a pre-packaged ounce, along with a gift bag. The gift bag had branded merch (a bic lighter), sticker, edible, pre-roll, and fridge magnet. I've lived in Monroe for nearly 20 years and can tell you with a high degree of confidence that very few local cannabis users visit KOB, because they're not from Monroe. If you're looking to wait in line for 20-30 mins, only to be rushed, ignored and even insulted while shopping for cannabis, then King of Budz is place for you. Their sales people get really irritated when asked the most basic questions, like how much a strain costs? The angry young woman we got stuck with seemed to be having a bad day long before we arrived. We asked about one their "specials" and she immediately upsold us to the two top price tiers of bud, and said we'd be stupid to waste money on their "specials"?! We asked to see 3 strains, but she somehow ended up bringing out 5 separate tubs of bud, and none were the strains we inquired about. After a few awkward exchanges with Miss Angro, we politely thanked her and left. It was a strange experience as we still don't understand why the sales rep was so irritated? What limited product we saw looked a little sketchy, but I can't speak to its potency because we genuinely didn't buy anything. There are countless other places right in Monroe that offer better prices, strains, products and service than this low brow "deli style" volume cannabis dealer. Worst of all, you must WAIT through the entire line just to inquire about anything. Unless you enjoy long waits just to speak with an ill-tempered cannabis server, this is no place you'll want to spend your time or money. read more

Honestly guys if you haven't been to KOB then you are missing out. They have the best top shelf selection of flower and other medicinal products. Their selection is extremely easy to navigate thru and the sales associates are very knowledgeable and will help you with all of your cannabis needs and questions. Whoever the lady is at register 7, cashier 43325, needs to be more considerate of customers. I walk in there and say i want some carts, she goes and simply grabs the number of carts I said without asking me what kind/flavor. no biggie, so I asked if I could choose which carts I wanted so she could replace some of them. after I go though and tell her the ones I want, she proceeds to check me out with all the shit I didn't want. horrible service, she was trying to get me out and move onto the next. would give more but 3/26 carts being right doesn't seem deserving to me read more

It's rare you find a person who will go out of their way to be mean and enjoy it while she's doing it. As luck would have it, I found that person in the role of budtender at King of Budz. This young woman tainted my experience wholly. I did find another budtender who was quite nice, but she hardly made up for the experience I had with the previous budtender. Additionally the music was turned up so loud a person had to yell to communicate. It was intolerable for a person with noise sensitivity. The store was a little chaotic and dirty around the edges.
