    Mofongo

We were visiting Orlando, and decided to eat here one night since everything near us was already closed. This place is located in a plaza with other food trucks. They have tables and chairs for you to wait for your food/ eat. We ordered the mofongo con carne frita and the food came out pretty quick. The mofongo was huge and the box was full of the fried pork. The food was pretty good, except I wished that the mofongo was little more crispy.

The food was GREAT! My husband had a Tripleta and I had a Jibarito which is a plantain sandwich with no bread. The price might be a little high for a food truck but the portions were HUGE therefore it was totally with it. The one downfall, and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, was because of the wait. We ordered and it took about 20 minutes for our food. Considering it is a food truck that is a long time. BUT the food was made fresh and was delicious, I rather wait longer for fresh food than not wait for something that is pre-made. While speaking to the lady in the window she did inform me that they have only been open a week. She also provided me a card and told me I can call and place my order for pickup to avoid the wait. I am sure this is my new go to location for delicious Puerto Rican food. Try it out!

What an AMAZING food truck this is! I was a little apprehensive to try because the menu is in Spanish and I speak/understand very little of it. But when I went up to the truck, the man taking my order (unfortunately I don't know his name) was so kind and explained everything I had questions about. I tried the "Burritotripleta" which I 1,000% recommend. How amazing this burrito was, I can still taste it...all 3 meats were blended so perfectly and the mayo-ketchup was to die for. Also tried 2 beef empanadas which were fresh, flavorful and very filling. Everything is made to order so expect a small wait time... but I would rather wait any day for food thats fresh vs. quick service for food that has been sitting out. All and all I would absolutely come back to this food truck. -As a little tid bit, came to "World Food Trucks" on a Sunday (just to look around) and everything was open, then came on a Tuesday (on the website it says everything is open everyday) and there were only 5 trucks open (3 in the front and 2 in the back) and I chose to go "King Master Grill" and what a great choice I made. I like that they are open everyday and early too. -LOCATION: Front of "Visitors Flea Market"

After a long day in Disney Magic Kingdom, we wanted to have some Puerto Rican food and headed to the King Master Grill food truck. My wife ordered a shrimp mofongo while I had an alcapurria and a mofongo con chicharrones de pollo. Everything was delicious just like in the island. The mofongo even had real pork grinds in it and was made fresh in the truck while we waited. The tamarindo (tamarind) and parcha (passion) juices tasted like they took the fruit right off the tree before making them. I am going to try to go again before we leave the Orlando area.

Sorry couldn't wait n started to eat....its missing the empanadilla......jajaja

Beautiful restaurant - I wish I had taken more photos inside but the place was packed (a good sign)…read moreand I try not to take pictures of random families and post them online. With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.

My husband had the Peruvian shrimp with yellow rice, salad, and black beans. We were both raving about the taste while eating. They have a range of dishes from across Latin America, and lots of gluten free options. They aren't safe for celiacs though. They use a shared fryer. If you are super sensitive or have celiac, just beware of that. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in the theme parks area near Orlando. You should not miss this restaurant. Try something new if you've never tasted Latin American cuisine, or try it if you've grown up with it. You won't go wrong and you'll likely be back.

Sofrito was amazing…read more We wanted something fast, but not fast food with a large seated area outside. This checked off all of our boxes. You order at a kiosk fast food style, but all of the food is then prepared freshly and authentically. They have a huge menu with all kinds of delicious Latin eats like sandwiches and platters. We absolutely loved our Cuban sammies which came on thick and sweet bread. My kids kept it simple with tenders and fries and also enjoyed! They have a big drink selection and you can find everything from juices to fresh cocktails. The biggest hit was their large indoor screened patio - perfect for my kids to run around. If you want to avoid fast food but also don't feel like taking your kids to a proper sit down restaurant than this is a really great option.
