Our server, Maira, explained that they were having trouble caramelizing the sugar. Unfortunately, it wasn't successful, and we ultimately had to send it back. What stood out to us was how the staff handled the situation. Maira immediately and sincerely apologized and, without hesitation, told us the dessert would be removed from our check. Shortly afterward, the restaurant manager, Ramon, came over personally to apologize as well. Then came the surprise: the bacalaitos we had originally come for had finally arrived. Ramon told us and went a step further by giving us an order to take home. He absolutely did not have to do that. The restaurant had already handled the dessert issue appropriately and had done the right thing. But he chose to go above and beyond. That kind of service is becoming increasingly rare, and we truly appreciated it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was exceptional.
