I gave it 3 stars for not being so clean especially the restrooms which was very questionable and kind of makes you think twice about eating here which is unfortunate, the food here is so good, the last that works there is super sweet, extensive menu and the prices are even better it definitely reminds me of the bbq spots in queens or Chinatown. But yeah....

King duck do not have a sit down area. It is a to go order place for Chinese BBQ. They carry many type of BBQ meats. We got the BBQ pork, crispy pork, roast duck. We did not get the grilled chicken or other braised item. The food are delicious event we carry and eat three hours later. The crispy pork has good crispy pork skin. It is good with glass of Pinot Noir.

There are 4 stools and a table for 4 inside. There are also 2 small tables outside if you want to eat here.

Spectacular!!! The Peking duck is crispy, delicious and it comes deboned so it's ready to put in your pancake. It's served with julienned green onion and cucumber and hoisin sauce. The BBQ ribs are great too. I can't wait to go back to try more things. The place is in a shopping center so there's parking. Everything was ready in about 15 minutes. The lady was very nice and everything was clean with cute lucky cats everywhere. Oh and I tried the taro bubble tea which was also great!

Excellent food. We got the BBQ pork, Peking duck, and beef chow mein. All was very good and authentic. The inside is very small--just room for a table or two but service was excellent and friendly. Seems like it is mostly takeout. Fair prices. Highly recommend.

My friend brought the duck from here for our Friendsgiving celebration and it was the star of the show. Crispy skin over the duck was so yum. Wrap it up with some greens and plum sauce and it is just so perfect. I was surprised at how good this was. Better than the fancier restaurants I've experienced at, imo. Give them a try Happy Holidays!

If you're looking for authentic Chinese bbq and Cantonese style duck, look no further! This is a mom and pop Chinese restaurant that sells Chinese Americans and some authentic Chinese dishes (primarily Cantonese from what I can tell). I liked that the char siu wasn't overly sweet, but still flavorful. The duck was a little gamey according to my boyfriend, but I love the taste of duck so I didn't notice. The wonton noodle was also a hefty portion. Again, it was Cantonese style shrimp and pork wonton (and where else in Miami will you find that?). There's only one table inside and two small spots outside, so more of a grab and go kind of place. Plenty of parking though!

This was 95% of the protein in my entree. All bone, grizzle, and fat. And yes that's 3 pieces of duck neck that they served me.

If you have never had Chinese BBQ, don't let this be your first experience. Actually, skip this place entirely as it gives Chinese BBQ a bad name. My family and I ordered 3 BBQ plates with Honey Roast Pork, Crispy Pork and Roast Duck. Looked good, even appetizing. But looks can be deceiving. When I opened up my container, the first thing that caught my eye was how good everything looked. I picked up the first piece of duck to try, just to quickly realize it was a NECK piece. For those of you that don't know, there is 0 meat on the neck - it's basically just the skin covering a weird neck shaped bony structure. Ok, first piece was disappointing. On to the next but lo and behold A SECOND neck piece! Guess what? Third piece of duck was ALSO neck. At this point I'm already halfway through my duck pieces on my plate, and didn't manage to actually get any duck meat. Fourth piece was the lower half of a duck drum. If you know, you know but for those that don't, duck drums are very lean on meat, especially the lower half. Great, more bone! Having gone through most of my duck without eating any, I was pretty disappointed and went for the Roast Pork. As I popped the first piece in my mouth and bit down, I felt grizzle. It wasn't just a piece - literally the entire piece was grizzle. Immediately spat it out. Second piece I managed to bite all the way through, but it was ALL FAT. Literally 100% of it was fat. As a matter of fact the rest of the pork was all fat and grizzle. And unlike real Chinese BBQ places, none of the pork was charred and well cooked (actually it seemed like the pork might have been undercooked). I don't mind eating charred/well-cooked fat, but this garbage they served was disgusting. I probably had 1 fully edible bite of protein on my whole entree. I threw 95% away. What's worse, when I showed the owner they smiled and offered a very insincere "I'm sorry, let us know next time to give you better meat". Right, like I'd ever let you fool me again. BTW, the place was filthy and hot, and if you ever have the misfortune of using their dirty bathroom you'll realize there is no soap, and this is the same bathroom their kitchen staff uses. If you want good BBQ there is a very popular one on NE 163rd St in North Miami. Best one there if you are looking for a genuine experience. There's another one in Davie which a quick search will reveal. Neither of these places will be serving garbage and hoping you are too naive to question it. Don't let King Duck serve you garbage like it did to me and my family. Honestly I'm embarrassed for them. 1-star only because I can't give 0.

New Chinese added to my Rotation. Really good bbq and chow fun. Not so crazy about the "dumplings ". Looked like shu mi. And has corn in it. Not for me. Take out only. Very nice people.

Anytime I want some good Chinese takeout, some Cantonese menu items, some excellent soup, or roasted duck, honey roasted pork, this place is my go to spot. While they have the typical Chinese takeout menu, their Cantonese menu is where I like to hangout, it's a nice change from orange chicken.... The flavors and preparations are more authentic, fresh and unique compared to your standard Chinese takeout joint on this menu, and worth trying. My go to has been the three meat soup, a slow cooked broth mixed in with excellent, chewy egg noodles, fresh vegetables land topped with your choice of protein. I go for the roasted duck, honey sliced pork and sometimes the chicken or the pork belly, so tasty, hearty and filling. Give this place a shot, it's in a small shopping strip and great for takeout.

At the recommendation of the girl that answered the phone, I ordered 3 lbs of crispy pork, 2 lbs of honey bbq ribs, 1 whole duck and a jumbo super special fried rice for 7 people. I should have ordered what I originally planned to because we less than 1/2 the duck, less than a pound of the crispy pork, less than a pound of the honey bbq ribs and about 1/4 to 1/3 of the rice. My husband kept telling me that I should cancel some of the food but the girl kept telling me that 1 lb of pork wasn't a lot and I didn't want to have too little food. The honey bbq ribs was disappointing. Don't get it. The crispy pork and the roast duck were delicious! The super special fried rice tasted like American fried rice with all the meat and shrimp piled on the top of the rice. A foodie friend of mine loves it but I wasn't impressed. I prefer a good Yeung chow fried rice. Overall, I recommend the crispy pork, the roast duck and the Peking duck from here. Keep in mind that 2 lbs of meat, 1/2 a duck with an order of rice will feed 7 people with leftovers.

This place is worth a visit if you're looking for authentic HK-style roasted meats. I ordered the roasted meat platter, which had crispy roasted pig, honey char siu, and roast duck. In addition, I also ordered a yeung chow fried rice, Singapore rice noodles, sauteed baby bok choi, and a beef chow fun. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the roast duck and beef chow fun. Prices are reasonable and the food was packaged well.

My group of 3 walked up to the outdoor hostess, we gave a name for our group, it was about a 30-40 minute wait. It was expected since word of mouth was passed along that this place usually has a wait to be seated. Once we were sat on a booth, we were greeted by the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable waiter, sad to say, I don't remember her name, but the customer service was all the way there! When I scanned through the menu, I wanted to dig all the way in. Keep in mind, I was a bit skeptical since I am not the biggest BBQ fan. For starters we ordered their brisket bacon, brisket wings, and a brisket empanada. We were also told there was a daily special, pulled pork mac & cheese french fries so of course we got an order. Their menu has changed since my initial visit, but it was all a la carte style; we created our own "platter" consisting of Mac and cheese, cafecito ribs, sausage, brisket, corn bread, coleslaw, elote, and maduros. Ooo weee! That's a mouthful and it was damn good. Their brisket meat is smoked to absolute perfection, has a crisp and is still extremely juicy (we ordered lean style). The flavors are all the way there and just explode in your mouth, you can't go here and NOT order their brisket, like cmon. I was very impressed. Now, I'm a carb junkie, so I was a major fan of their Mac and cheese and corn bread. I even took some to go, it was that delicious. You will be in the best food coma after all of that, I know I sure was! Though the food was phenomenal, I have to give up to the front and BOH. The real MVP's. You really see the staff work as a team, it's a sight to see. Our waiter, expos, and manager walked over to our booth throughout our munch time and asked if we were good, how our experience was, etc. The attentiveness was present- that's a lost art in Miami lol, so bravo! Great ambiance, food, and above all things customer service!

Staff Makes us feel they are glad we came-What a cool place! We settle on the brisket, baby back ribs, potato salad and beans with brisket. Can I tell you EvErYtHiNg was spot on!! And we plan accordingly to try their famous 12 hour smoked Flan dessert!! 1. Smoked Brisket- moist, perfect flavor, hearty portion, tender and high quality meat. Comes with great sauce, which I didn't use since it was so perfect as is. 2. Smoked Baby Back Ribs- Another hit with healthy portion, great flavor, and super meaty. Honestly, just hard to stop eating it! 3. Baked Beans with Brisket- A true meal unto itself! I could've stopped here! Tons of brisket ground into the beans, almost like the best "chili" ever. Flavor is sophisticated smokiness, not the usual sugary sweet restaurant rendition. Yay! 4. Potato salad is FIRE! Fresh perfectly cooked tender white potatoes, cooked carrots & peas add just enough interest and a magical a touch of mayo. Yes please. 5. 12 hour smoked Flan-STAR * of the show, the flan of my dreams! Staff insisted this flan is all that and they are correct! It's LEGIT. We left with a doggie bag, so worth it. Price was for real, you pay for quality. $74, but we brought plenty home. You could get by with a meal for two around $50-60, if you need. Smoke & Dough... I Went Looking for BBQ... and Found One of the Best Pastrami Sandwiches in South…read moreFlorida Back in my day, going out for BBQ wasn't something you did every weekend. It was a special occasion. If you grew up in Miami, you probably remember The New Hickory on Coral Way. Then there was Uncle Tom's on 8th Street. Great food... but let's be honest... everybody was just a little nervous eating there because it was right next to the cemetery. You'd be halfway through your ribs thinking... "¿Tú crees que ese ruido vino del parking... o del cementerio? Later on we graduated to Luther's on Bird Road and 117th Avenue, and of course, Shorty's, the undisputed king that's been feeding hungry Miamians for generations. These days it seems like a new BBQ place opens every other week in South Florida. I recently tried one of the newer spots in South Miami... except when we got there they were out of half the menu. Nothing kills your BBQ excitement faster than hearing, "Sorry... we're out of brisket." That's like walking into Versailles and hearing they're out of croquetas. So when our friends Ana and Henry invited Betty and me to Smoke & Dough in Kendall, I was ready to get my BBQ on. We walked into this unassuming strip mall, I grabbed the menu, ready to order ribs or brisket... ...and then I saw it. The Pastrami Sandwich. Now THAT got my attention. Finding a really good pastrami sandwich down here isn't easy. Roasters 'N Toasters has a very good one. Lox of Bagels (what many of us still call Lox of Lox) makes a solid one too. But this one... This one beat them both by a mile. The meat was warm, juicy, incredibly flavorful, the cheese perfectly melted, the Thousand Island dressing was just the right amount, and the bread held everything together without falling apart after the second bite... a miracle in itself. And it wasn't one of those fancy little sandwiches you need a magnifying glass to find on the plate. This thing was substantial. I shared it with my wife... ...and I was full. ¡Y yo soy tremendo comelón! Our friends ordered the brisket empanadas, a quiche, and brisket sandwiches that looked absolutely outstanding. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked like somebody back there really cared about what they were serving. The atmosphere surprised me. Instead of feeling like an old-school BBQ joint with picnic tables and sauce bottles everywhere, it feels more like a cozy neighborhood bistro that just happens to know its way around a smoker. Comfortable, relaxed, and the kind of place where nobody is rushing you out the door because another party is waiting. They also have what looked like an excellent selection of wines and craft beers, which gives the place a slightly elevated feel without being pretentious. Now... everybody has been telling me about their famous **Smoked Flan Apparently it's slowly cooked on the barbecue pit for about five hours, giving the creamy custard and caramel a subtle smoky flavor. Believe me... I wanted to try it. But after that pastrami... Game over. There wasn't enough room left. The owners came over, introduced themselves, shared a little of the history behind Smoke & Dough, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Those little moments still matter. You leave feeling like they appreciate your business instead of treating you like the next number in line. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Good food. Great company. Friendly owners. A relaxed atmosphere where you actually want to stay awhile. After our last dining experience at another restaurant where we practically felt like they were timing us with a stopwatch, this was a refreshing change. Will I be back? Absolutely. Not just for the BBQ... I'm coming back to see if that smoked flan lives up to the hype. And maybe... Just maybe... I'll order ,another pastrami sandwich.

Per my usual attitude my first time somewhere, I wanted to try several items. The owner was super nice and gave multiple suggestions. I ended-up trying a really affordable wing special that comes with rice and beans, slaw, plantain chips and I added mac. I also added brisket, and that came with slaw. The green bean salad comes in one size as an add-on. Okay first, the owner is clearly magic, because there isn't a grill in sight. I had no intention of ordering wings, but these are seriously the best wings I've had anywhere, in a long time (100/10). The rice and beans (10/10), and the rice smelled like it came from abuelita's kitchen. The slaw, oh my goodness (100/10), so simple, and yet perfect! I thought the chips were unnecessary . . . NOT! These are delicious (10/10) and 100% belonged on my plate. The mac . . . well, you can't win 'em all. The brisket was good (9/10) and the sauce is mustard-based, just like I like it, but the star is what got me there, the green bean salad! This was a fresh, exciting dish that is like nothing you've ever had (1,000/10), I won't describe the ingredients here, because I think you should be surprised. I can't wait to go back. The staff treated us like family from the moment we walked in and made us feel right at home. I ordered the baby back ribs and brisket, and both were outstanding. The collard greens were hands down the best I've ever had, and the sweet potato soufflé was just as memorable. Even the Texas toast was incredible--I don't usually talk about bread, but this stuff was fire! The drinks were served in large cups, and the sweet tea was absolutely perfect. Dinner for two came to about $78, which might seem a little high at first, but quality barbecue isn't cheap, and every dollar was worth it. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and this was easily one of the best barbecue meals I've had. We were so full we almost skipped dessert, but I'm glad we didn't. The homemade Key lime pie was the best we had during our entire trip to the Keys. It was smooth, creamy, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of Key lime flavor, and unlike some of the others we tried, it wasn't gritty at all. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in South Florida.

Went while in town for a soccer teams last soccer game of a 10 month season. The food was…read moreabsolutely amazing, however the staff was so bothered that a high top table entered the door her annoyance was so present the entire time we were there. Every table she assisted she referred to our table as being the problem where the tables would then be staring at us and our kids the whole time. Every ask was met with a forced smile, and rolling of the eyes as she walked away. She then went to the system to enter the orders and was pointing at us - She clearly was annoyed of having to serve a large group like ours and made the experience terrible despite the food. I understand it's inconvenient when a high number table arrives but there was still a level of service and respect that should have been present. We will never go back.
