Showed up here when it was a busy night, and it was lucky we got into the place at all. I will say that our server Amanda pretty much drove the bus, we got some hush puppies and then went with the family meal that provided a huge seafood boil: Black Mussels, peel and eat shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, andouille sausage, crab legs and a few lobster tails. We opted for the garlic butter flavor with medium seasoning. First of all, they are flavorful! The amount of food was enough to feed 5 people, considering we don't eat like this. The hush puppies were executed perfectly- small, light, crispy. The shrimp, sausage, crab, corn, and potatoes were all delicious (admittedly, I do not eat mussels often). We had enough to take out and enjoy again. I am not sure how this will get warmed up, but Amanda hooked us up with a mess free situation by double bagging and then using a paper bag for easy carry out of the restaurant. I would recommend people come here. It's busy, they're open 12-10 basically every night, but Friday I think it's 12-11. I would have posted photos, but we dug right in. Wearing bibs, plastic gloves did not make for a very photogenic experience. But the taste was worth the garb. Thanks to Amanda and the team for hooking us up with some great grub! We rarely get Cajun seafood boil so we were kinda lost and didn't know what to order. Okay. Read for a real review. I used to work at Louisiana Cajun Seafood House in California. Where I learned how to make these boils on my own and to say we are picky about our seafood and sauce is an understatement. But THIS PLACE DELIVERED. I'm sad to go back to California where we don't have a King Crab near by. A special thanks to our server Trinity for being so welcoming and kind. We did the Lobster special pictured below. And we didn't even get pictures of our meal before we ate but just know it was plenty of food for the price and easily could of fed 3/4 people. We took some back to our hotel! We ordered the combination of all three sauces in medium, and then ordered our own side sauces in hot and medium for different flavors. Being from Southern California I have to give an comparison to the 5 star flavor I would give two most popular places I've enjoyed there "The Boiling Crab" and "The Kick'n crab". The Central FL restaurant comparable to them would be Hot n' Juicy Crawfish. Where this place was lacking was in the flavor missing the loads of garlic most places use and heat for Hot and extra Hot. Service was average, refills never happened and we mentioned Hot being too weak and she didn't offer Extra Hot or anything else. This place is bar none, one of my favorite places to eat in the Orlando metro area. The food is consistently good, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are reasonable for seafood. Literally everything we ate here was good. We of course, always order the low country boil with the "Juicy" sauce. The crab legs are fresh and not limp. The shrimp is never over cooked. But the star is always the "Juicy" sauce that the seafood comes swimming in. My wife and i's favorite thing to do is to order a side of white rice with it, pour the juicy sauce over the rice along with some seafood, and mix it all together. Phenomenal. The sides are also really great. Idk what they do to fry their stuff, but their corn fritters, hush puppies, and French fries are uniquely crispy. The outside is really hard, but when you bite into them, it's really pillowy on the inside. Even their kids meal chicken tenders are better than 95% of kids meal tenders ive tasted! I'm generally pretty conservative with my reviews. But King Crab has earned every star! 5/5!!! read more

Stopped into King Crab for a bite to eat after getting back into town. My boyfriend and I ordered a shrimp and crab combo with extra shrimp and sausage. We also did a dirty rice with crawfish. All to share. We did the combo sauce for our meal. Sauce was tasty and the seafood was good. Our waitress Yakira was awesome. She was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We dined here Sunday evening. The place if FILTHY. Their wine selection is very limited to poor. Their cabernet is awful, and they were out of pinot grigio. They claim to have a full bar but they do not have tonic. Ever. The King Crab leg was limp. We asked for the manager and when a manager comes to your table with their hands in their pockets, you know this is not going to go well. She replaced the crab, but it was still sub-par. (and no discount was offered but at least she replaced it) But the worse part was the filth. The napkin container on the table was only cleaned because I used my wet nap to clean it. The photos do not show the level of grossness. The menus were sticky and covered in food. We did not dare go into the restrooms. Very unpleasant experience overall. read more

This is a fantastic place to indulge your palate in some good ole Southern style seafood! Parking is quite ample in this spot as it used to be Applebee's in the Loop area. I got a really great spot as it was about 6pm on a Tuesday evening. Traffic was light so I arrived pretty quickly. Upon entering the decor was very in tune to the theme of fishing. It feels as if you are aboard a ship. The bathroom was very clean and well kept. They have a sound system that played some great variety of music more popular hits. Since it was happy hour they generally will have it a bit louder as the evening goes on but you can also have a quiet convo it was that quiet when I walked in. I sat at the bar and was greeted by a waitress who was kind enough to get me a diet coke no ice. I initially ordered the fried cauliflower bites with ranch and they came out super fast. They were seasoned well, piping hot and delicious! I ended up deciding to order a pound of shrimp in their garlic butter sauce that comes with potatoes and corn on the cob. It was so much more shrimp than I expected and really big shrimp too! Think almost half colossal size! I ended up taking half my shrimp and potatoes home to eat later and they had even more flavor on the second helping. My favorite was an alcoholic drink I got on their happy hour called "Henny Punch" made with Hennessy and fruit juices similar to Hypnotiq but much better tasting. Was recently here with the family and we had a blast! Our server was such a sweetheart and really went along with the energy of the table, she went above and beyond. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we had everything from calamari, gator bites, hush puppies, edamame and corn nuggets!l as appetizers and everything was great. As for plate, I did the Cajun style shrimp and sausage and it was packed with flavor, definitely a great portion (I did 1/2 pound of both). The bartender did amazing, we kept ordering round after round of shots and their specialty drinks, the drinks were great to say the least and filled to the rim! They are located inside the old Applebee's building. The inside is large, clean and inviting. It was pretty empty when we went, but there were a lot of to go orders being picked up. Our server was very helpful with the menu. It was our first visit and he explained our options and patiently answered our questions. This visit we had the calamari appetizer and the lobster w/ crabmeat po-boy and the linguine with shrimp. The calamari was good but were only rings. The po-boy was very good - fresh bread and seafood. The shrimp in the pasta was good but bland and could have used some seasoning on it. Overall it was a good experience and I think a few visits will be needed to really get a feel for this new option in the neighborhood. read more

In town on vacation, found an offering on Groupon, read the reviews, decided to give it a try. I'm a huge crab fan, but from the Westcoast, we don't do boils, so I decided on the crab cakes basket. My hubby loves his catfish, so he went with that. YUM!!! these have a panko (I think) breading & it was scrumptious!! Onion rings, fries were cooked perfectly & volume was adundant! Tarter sauce was very good, tangy, but the catsup tasted like a cheaper brand. Fortunately, there was little need for catsup, so Don't let that stop you from walking in the door! We waited forever for this place to open so when it finally did we were super excited to try it out. I'm not sure how business is going overall, but it was slammed when we were there with nearly every table filled by the time we left. That said, we were seated quickly and the server was there promptly. Like most restaurants staffing is an issue, and as the restaurant filled, service got more spotty. The staff did a good job working as a team to keep drinks filled and keep things moving. Not a huge fan of the big bag of food you dump on your plate. I get that's the way these places are, but I really dislike it. Id love to see a few plated seafood options on the menu. We ordered the scallops and the shrimp. The food was good. Well seasoned and not overcooked. I was very disappointed at the portion size however. The menu lists the dishes by weight so I have to suspect there is a scale in the kitchen. I'll also grant you that all weights are pre-cooked. You can judge for yourself whether the image below contains a pound of scallops. Note: I'd eaten 2. One of the things I hate most at seafood places is when they mislead about portion size, or pass off one fish as another. It's possible this is done by mistake, but since the seafood is the highest cost item on the ticket, the potential to try and drive margins by shorting the guest is always there. Not saying this was one or the other. We will likely be back, but will be watching to see if this is common. read more

We have been here a couple of times, but probably will not again. I didn't want to get too messy as we were meeting friends afterwards. So I asked our server about the Dirty Rice dish. She told me it was rice, sausage, corn and onions with a meat of my choice. So I picked the crab meat. What I expected was perhaps a scoop or two of rice on a plate, with a small cob of corn, sliced up sausage and some onions just like the steamed entrees they serve. There are no photos of this on the menu. What I got, as you can see, is a bowl of rice that exactly resembled Chinese Fried Rice. All the ingredients were diced super small. There were four corn kernels that I could count, Some sausage that was about 1/4" cubes, no onions that i could see, and I had to search for the crab meat. There could not have been 1/2 an ounce of it. This entree is $14. I took a couple of spoonfuls and was not impressed, it was kind of dry and bland. I asked our server about it and she sympathized and I asked her for some of the broth/sauce in an attempt to help the dish out. But then waiting, I called for the manager. He is this young inexperienced kid. I told him how unhappy I was and how uninspiring the dish was. He then proceeded to describe in detail how it is prepared. I don't care how it's prepared, it is just a lousy creation and all he offered was to take it away and off the bill. No offer to replace it, no offer to make another dish quickly, just an awkward "manager" who I was wasting my thoughts and breath on. In the meantime, my wife is done eating. We got our bill, and had to ask to take the $2.50 for a bowl of broth off since I never touched that. We left and I went away hungry.... never again. +1 star for our server, and +1 because my wife enjoyed her dinner. -1 for terrible dish, -1 for practically no crab meat. -1 for the "manager" who has no business skills and to let a customer leave angry. read more

My husband is a huge seafood fan and was craving crab legs. We decided to try this place out since it's close to our house. It's in a building that used to be Applebee's but they did a good job making it feel coastal in there. I ordered hush puppies as an appetizer and they were very tender with kernels of corn in them and came with a side of ranch. My husband asked if the dungeness crab was shipped fresh or came frozen. Our great server Lauren asked the kitchen and we were told they are received live and then frozen on premise. So he got the dungeness boil and I got a fried shrimp basket. He said the crab was about as good as you can get and the sauce was flavorful. My shrimp were huge and tender with nice breading and served very hot. The tails were even removed. I was impressed. My husband also ordered a shrimp linguine with garlic cream that came with the same size large shrimp and was very good as well. Our server was helpful in making recommendations and answering questions and service was quick. We were given bibs, gloves, shell crackers, wet wipes, and a bucket for shells. The prices were great for the amount and quality and even slightly below other similar restaurants in the area. I'm sure we will be back often. read more

I really hate to leave a bad review but... It was kind of disappointing. The crab cakes were decent. The corn nuggets weren't good you could tell they were frozen foods. waiter was nice. What bothered me the most was how dirty the place was. Lights above us and pictures on the walls were very dusty, walls by the booths had food all on it, both of our seats had big rips in them. And when I went to the bathroom it was even worse. A toilet had over flowed and the water was just there. I'm in no way a clean freak but this place needs a serious DEEP cleaning... read more

Almost gave this place a 4 star rating because they serve Pepsi products but our waiter had a secret stash of Coke for the loyal Coke feens out there. Everything but the crawfish was amazing!!!
