While we were there, it was dining month - so we had a little prefix menu. Oyster trio to start with some bubbles! Wonderful start, but they sure give a lot of fresh horseradish! Salmon dip platter was perfect! Chicory Salad with fried oysters was good, but too much radicchio for me, so bitter! I loved the bread and it's complementary! Lemon Raspberry dessert was so-so. I would come back to try more!

I like to freestyle when I travel, but I also like some structure, so I made a reservation to ensure no delays prior to attending a concert not too far away. The staff & our server made this special occasion great, and the food recommendations were really good. We enjoyed the fact that our server recommended things that he had, but also paid very close attention to what other people enjoyed and also offered those recommendations even though they weren't his top ones. He asked all the right questions and we picked some solid items prior to our concert. We started with some warm focaccia bread served with whipped butter. We decided on a half dozen Oysters as we wanted to try all 3 varietys. They split it off for us with 2 separate plates and talked about each of the ones we were going to have. We also had the Salmon Tartare and the Dungenous crab roll filled with plenty of crab and not filler! We also had the Chicory Salad with fried oysters that they also split for us & the Chicory Salad & the Manila claims... also really good. Of course, we had a few cocktails... starting with the "Detour" which used Batanga blanca tequila with a hint of mint to it (elevated margarita) aslong with a few Pear Necessities. To end it all we went with 2 scoops of the "Marion Berry" sorbet. (I'm originally from DC so I had to get one)....Everything was great and I would definitely return!

When we arrived, we were seated right away. Rachel, our server was ah-maz-ing! She made sure we had what we needed but was not overbearing and annoying. The food - perfectly seasoned, average sized portions, and lots of variety. Seasons has some of everything, not just seafood. We ordered a bunch of food and we loved it all - the traditional Caesar salad, a cup of smoked salmon chowder, crispy Brussel sprouts, Cajun calamari, Goosepoint fried oysters, and two orders of shrimp and crab cakes. We went out to celebrate and Seasons did not disappoint with a scoop of their homemade ice cream with caramel sauce and a candle. I usually buy store brand ice cream and had no clue what I've been missing until I tried Seasons homemade cookies and cream ice cream. I'm not big on sweets, but did finish it all. Seasons is clean, inviting, and has low lighting for an intimate dinner. I will definitely return for another visit!

Seasons & Regions Seafood Grill 6660 SW Capitol Hwy,…read morePortland, OR February 16, 2026 (Monday evening) For a neighborhood restaurant, this place was absolutely hopping -- packed on a Monday night, which is always a good sign. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent from start to finish and the food came out timely and hot. We ordered: * Tomato Basil Bisque Au Gratin -- $10.90 (outstanding) * Dungeness Crab & Spinach Risotto -- $48.00 (fresh, rich, and easily the highlight of the meal) * Maine Sea Scallop Cavatappi -- $42.00 * Cajun Calamari -- $14.90 * Tanqueray Dirty Gin Martini -- $13.00 * Key Lime Pie -- $9.00 * Two fountain sodas -- $7.00 The food across the board tasted fresh and well prepared. The tomato basil soup was incredible -- creamy, balanced, and comforting -- and the Dungeness crab with risotto was the standout dish of the night. The calamari (and okra) were just okay -- not bad, just nothing memorable compared to the rest. The only real knock was the cocktails. My dirty gin martini came in a very small glass, only filled about ¾ full, and the quality just didn't match the kitchen. For a seafood place doing everything else right, that was surprising. Total bill before tip: $144.80 Overall though, great neighborhood spot with excellent service and strong seafood. I'd definitely return and look forward to trying more dishes -- next time I might skip the cocktail and stick to wine or beer.

Their generous portions of crab boil--complete with potatoes, corn, sausage, and egg--have always made it feel like a great value, especially compared to other crab boil restaurants. Their Cajun butter sauce remains outstanding and is still one of my favorites. Previously located at the Happy Valley food carts, The Kracked Crab has since moved to a new location. Unfortunately, it's not immediately obvious they're in a food court setting, as the building signage only says "Sunny Sides," which made it a bit difficult to find. This was my first visit to their new location, and while I was genuinely excited to return with my daughter for a pre-movie dinner, the experience fell short of expectations. We already knew what we wanted to order--two #3 Legilicious meals--but upon arrival, there seemed to be confusion at the counter with the two groups ahead of us. The ordering process felt disorganized and lacked a sense of urgency. It appeared that the main staff member was working alone, possibly being trained by a manager or owner who was intermittently present. Our food took over 45 minutes to be prepared, which was surprising given the limited number of customers. This delay caused us to rush through our meal in order to make our movie on time. When the food finally arrived, the presentation and quality were noticeably different from past visits. The crab appeared less fresh, with some pieces looking freezer-burnt, and while the portion seemed large at first glance, much of it consisted of thinner crab legs, and a little watery. That said, the Cajun butter sauce was still excellent--rich, flavorful, and as memorable as always. A small bright spot was the care taken in packing our leftovers. The owner kindly ensured everything was sealed well so the buttery sauce wouldn't spill in the car. I especially appreciate this because I enjoy repurposing the potatoes and sausage the next morning for breakfast. Despite this less-than-stellar experience, The Kracked Crab is still my favorite seafood spot. I sincerely hope they're able to return to their previous standards in both crab quality and service speed. I'll definitely be giving them another chance.

We decided to try them out. We planned on having one to go, so we can enjoy them in the comfort of our home, and take our time. We were lucky we did that! We ordered one Full Catch (2 clusters, 12 shrimp, that includes potatoes, egg, sausage & corn on the cob). It was a perfect combo for two of us! We picked the Garlic Parmesan Drips. It was tasty, from beginning to end. A lot of work! It was messy! It was different and interesting. It was spendy! We've been eating the Oregon Dungeness Crab, but this was so much sweeter, you can really taste the difference! It was PERFECT!

Both were flavorful and filling, and satisfied our craving just right. The cornbread served with our meals was also super tasty, with a light and sweet flavor that complimented our dishes well. Our waitress was very kind and attentive and made an effort to ensure our dining experience was a pleasant one. She offered to get us a to-go container for the seafood broth before we even asked, and I'm so glad we took her up on that offer because that broth made a great second meal the next day! We visited during a time they weren't particularly busy (about 4pm), but even then a few tables were occupied. It's clear that this location has more activity into the evening, especially since there is a full bar and they don't close until 10pm most days. We were also pretty happy with the price, considering we've paid more for less food at other restaurants offering seafood boils. We'll definitely be eating here again!

Because it's Mardi Gras, I was hoping for some Jambalaya or Gumbo of some of that good New Orleans stuff. With that said, before heading home, we searched online where nearby we could go for take out. We did have another market, Shell Gas station not far from where we started, but their Jambalaya was like 'soy sauce colored rice'. THAT's not what I'm craving for! We found one further, and they have Seafood Gumbo, so we drove there. I thought it would take faster than 15 mins. but first we have to wait until the waitress, who told us to seat & wait, she'll give us the menu, (we just found the menu from their website), she wasn't free for a long time. The Seafood Gumbo order came with corn bread and rice. I've eaten Southern & Northern style foods in the past, but the cornbread was probably one of the worst I've eaten! Dry like the Sahara Desert, and old! I took one look at the Gumbo, and I wasn't sure what it was on top, it freaked me out! It was probably one of the largest clam, but I like mine in bite size pieces, not one as big as my tongue. For awhile there, I thought it was a body of a squid, but I like mine toasted, crispy or fried. There's shrimp, and clams with shells. The taste was so-so, hubby did liked it, so he'll eat all of my portion. I did took a couple of spoonfuls, but that's it! (For now, I'm done craving for Gumbo soup!, Corn bread, too!) The staff that was helping us, was cordial, so I give her points for that!

Food is good but the Portland food scene is strong so you can get something similar for cheaper and with better service, because the service is terrible here and they do an automatic 22% service charge which is not deserving for the poor service The restaurant has a cozy interior and a beautiful exterior with river views, and we opted indoors as there were mosquitoes outside and we did not bring bug spray. For dinner, we had lobster bisque with sourdough, ahi tostadas, octopus a la plancha, and hazelnut sturgeon with gigantic beans. The lobster bisque was okay, not creamy and felt more like a tomato soup with lobster chunks. Ahi tostadas were incredibly tiny - 3 pieces for $15. The octopus was good but only a few pieces with lots of potatoes inside - again value not there. The sturgeon was delicious but the beans were a bit rough. Decently executed but $44 for this is quite steep. One plus is that we ate right after social hour where hotel guests get free small bites and various wines that is more or less unlimited so that saved a bit of money on alcohol For breakfast, we had a mushroom hash which was very salty. The King Tide omelette was delicious - egg was a bit overcooked but the inside is creamy with a good amount of lobster - which it has to be for $32. We also got lemon ricotta donuts freshly fried which was also delicious. Service is where the reviews tank. If they are charging such high prices, the service must be amazing. However, it felt quite the opposite. During dinner, no one took away plates and so we ended up presented the bill with dirty plates stacked high on the table - very unclassy look. It took a while to flag the server down. For breakfast, most of the tables are empty but they forced us to wait 15 minutes at the sofa which was occupied so we had to awkwardly stand the whole duration. It would have been better if they seated us with menus and give us a heads up they are backed up and would need some time to serve us, so that way we can decide what to order in the meanwhile. Also, unlike the other tables, they never proactively gave water. Such huge misses in service felt like they are complacent that they get the 22% service charge and not try...
