    It has taken me a few months to write this review because I'm still furious…read more I want to express my outrage and disappointment with Enterprise, specifically your location at 3443 Highway 9, Unit 2, Freehold, NJ 07728. I had made a reservation on June 22, 2025, through Expedia (Itinerary #73149227764284) for a luxury vehicle--Audi A4 or BMW 3 Series or similar--for a special 25th wedding anniversary couple's trip to Vermont and Maine, scheduled for July 10-14, 2025. Imagine the morning of Thursday, July 10 when I stood there in utter disbelief when the manager on duty told me there was no vehicle available. Shock quickly turned to anger. I found myself scrambling desperately to try to save my anniversary trip, ultimately having to use my personal vehicle, which was seriously overdue for service for a trip of that length. This was not a choice--it was a last resort, risking long-term damage to my car simply because Enterprise did not fulfill its commitment. Being told that you "tried to contact me" just 45 minutes before pickup is, frankly, insulting. Why accept reservations weeks in advance, especially for an expensive, top-tier car, only to leave your customers stranded? This isn't the first time this location has failed me, but it will be the last. Your complete disregard for customer commitments and for the significance of milestone occasions like this is unacceptable. Enterprise has lost my business, and I will make sure to share my experience far and wide so nobody I know will ever rent from this company again. Absolutely unacceptable.

I got there, they have no office, there is a big sign for Avis on rt9 and you pull into the parking lot and it's a mechanic shop. So I go to the counter and say I have a reservation for a rental. The owner goes no Avis is in there, I turn around and he points at a closet with no sign on the door or anything. I walk into a 6'x6' closet and there is a lady with her head down sleeping on a folding table with a 40 year old computer. I wake her up and she was visibly angry didn't even greet me or anything. I give her the reservation number, she starts typing for an hour then starts cursing and screaming. I asked what happened she said the system crashed she had to redo it. Finally she finishes the reservation, she tells me there's a $350 security deposit. There is not supposed to be any additional charges, I paid in full on the website and I used a major credit card, plus it was a $30 a day rental Kia not a luxury car. However at this point every other place was closed and it was the weekend so I paid it and took the car. I had a 5 day rental and was planning on extending, they had my card on file and my phone number. I kept the car 2 extra days, never received a call or charged to my card. The second day I get a call from a random number, it is a loss prevention officer from the regional Avis office saying that they are reporting the car stolen if I don't return it today. I explained to him I never received a phone call from anyone and that I didn't want any issues of course I would take the car back that day after work. He said that's weird, in the file it says they called you 10 times and no answer. He looks it up and they had the wrong phone number, I drop off the car and send him a picture of the car at the office with the date and time. Case closed... or so I thought. 2 weeks later I open my credit card app and see a $3,000 charge from Avis. The credit card I gave only had a $500 limit. This wasn't a major credit card company like Amex, it's one of those small companies that give credit cards to people with bad credit at high interest so you can build your credit. I immediately call them and ask how the hell they let a $3,000 charge go through when the limit is only $500?!?!? Apparently rental companies and hotels can force charges through in case of damage. But there was no damage!!!!! My credit card company couldn't refund the charge or even investigate unless I sent a notorized letter to them and it would still take 30 days or they said call Avis. We all know they weren't going to reverse it. I'm a small business owner and it was in the middle of the pandemic I didn't have an extra $3,000 laying around to pay it and fight it later. Long story short the credit card company closed my account for non payment plus my credit score went down 200 points because I was using $3,000 credit with only $500 available. I finally got my credit good again and got approved for a credit card after years and all because of these idiots I'm back to square one. Hold on that's not the worst part!!!! 6 months later I get a call from a collections company saying I owe $12,000 for damages to Avis. This is on top of the $3,000 they already charged me and got paid. Thank god for the women I spoke to.... I explained what happened to her and she goes let me look into this and I'll call you back. 5 minutes later I get a call back and she said we are dropping the case for the damages... she went through the file, there was 3 months between when I dropped the car off and when it was taken to the shop for repairs.. there was 400 miles put on the car in between that time as well... also I never even received an invoice or bill for the original $3,000 I was charged. She said they had me down for 33 day rental when I only had it 7 days.. ok $50 per day at 33 days... still only $1,600?!? How do you get $3,000... she goes they have a $1,000 charge for miscellaneous with no explanation. Miscellaneous $1000 charge?!??? Then another $400 for fees with no explanation. This place is an absolute joke, if you read this whole story you should be as appalled as I am. This completely illegal and this company should be ashamed of how a paying customer was treated. Please do yourself a favor and don't ever rent a car from them because this could happen to you. They single handedly ruined my life.

Trash on a very tiny corner space office. Disgusting working environment. The office guy was wearing very dirty N95 mask that looked like it was worn prior countless times. The location was shady in this tiny cramped little area . 2. The cars to choose from were ALL DIRTY AND HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. And we took MANY PICTURES of the car we ended up using. There is dirt on the outside, there is hair sticking out of the seats. The mats are filthy. 3. The other cars available were just as filthy. They offered us a car that was just dropped off and not cleaned. Classy. 4. The car smells like old cigarettes. Adds to the charm of the filthy car. Good job. 5. The car remote was old looking and dirty. 6. The receipt we received is inconsistent with the car we got. It shows two different cars on the receipt. It also shows a different drop off time than our reservation stated online. Will be looking more closely at these receipts from now on. 7. Can it be mentioned again that THEY DO NOT WASH THEIR CARS? We only rented the car out of desperation because we had no car to use. We didn't want to go back into the disgusting office. 8. Since we were dropping this car off at the airport... makes you wonder...are we being used to transport this car to get serviced? Hertz, what happened to you? We did not receive excellent service on this vehicle. Your website claims that "Ranked #1 in Rental Car Customer Satisfaction by J.D. Power*, Hertz offers exceptional service and vehicles on every rental". That is not the case. A company is only as good as its weakest link and here you are. We are extraordinarily unsatisfied and will NEVER rent from Hertz again. I will never recommend your services to anyone I know.

Most recently, we had the pleasure of working w/Ted on our last three rentals. Ted was extremely friendly and offered us great customer service. He had paperwork ready and everything. He takes good care of us. We will continue to use this location. My only issue w/any rental car location is not having a space for people to leave their car. The first time we went there, I told Carlos exactly what I wanted, with no bullshit. At this point in my life I don't need any bullshit. He got it and delivered. It took 1 hour and I ordered my car. I took delivery of my new car yesterday. It couldn't have gone any smoother. The whole process took 1 hour, that's it. I got the car I wanted, at a reasonable price, I got a big trade-in value on my other car, Carlos was very sweet, knowledgeable, professional...I can't thank him enough for his excellent service. I highly recommend you give Carlos at Freehold Subaru a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I have been bombarded with phone calls, text messages, and email from Rachel at Freehold Subaru. I asked Rachel nicely to stop texting/calling/emailing. She sassed me the first time telling me that "she only called once!". Well now we are at least 5 phone calls in plus multiple texts which have been stopped and emails. I wrote to the GM to ask that they stop contacting me. I promised them that if they continued to contact me that I would flood the internet with bad reviews of Freehold Subaru. Rachel just phoned me again. STOP CONTACTING ME. I will never do business with you pushy, PIAs.
