To add to this, we needed to be buzzed in so we could enter the premise. Once we were inside, the ambiance changed completely and there were a couple of IG worthy spots to take pictures while checking in. We opted for the spinning art experience since my daughter is too young to partake in the more elaborate ones. Originally, we booked for 4 people but one person got sick so we asked if we could transfer the funds for that person for another experience since there are no refunds. Luckily, was able to contact them the day before and added the bunny paint pour over experience. Ozzie was our guide and he was super kind and gentle with my daughter. We were instructed to pick 5 colors and then we donned our plastic bootie covers, apron and gloves. We entered our designated art room and was blown away by all the colors on the wall. There was even a tire swing which my daughter was all about. The spinning art experience was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing my daughter embrace the paint. I think her favorite part was when she had free rein to paint all over the walls. Overall, we had a great time. Only down side is that it does go by super quick and is quite an expensive experience for one hour. However, we get to have a treasured memento which is ready for pick up about 5 days afterwards and we did have a great time. That being said, #noragrats!

I met a ton of the members during the weekends and everyone was chill and laid back, and soooo talented! Lots of great dogs in this studio as well. I have given away a lot of my pieces as gifts (I made 16 pieces in my 6 weeks!) and everyone has loved them. It's a great heartfelt gift for anyone. I would have continued with the classes but I missed out on the next level classes, and then I moved jobs so I wasn't working in downtown as much. But I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone interested in clay pottery!

I'll be completely honest. I was not excited about taking this class. I hate cooking food as much as I love eating it. But the wife dragged me out here anyway. So what's my verdict? As my rating indicates, I was completely wrong about this class. It was a fun experience from start to finish. Chef May did a fantastic job walking us through how to prepare each dish before releasing us to our own individual stations, easing my concern that I would screw things up. When we needed any assistance, she was right there to jump in and provide support. I would be amiss if I didn't mention the best part of the class which is eating the food we made. Every dish was delicious. I especially loved the Pan Con Tomate and Jamon Serrano, and Pork Belly with Membrino Glaze. I would definitely recommend taking a class here. If they could make a guy like me who hates cooking enjoy the experience, they must be doing something right. We'll be back very soon for an encore. We're signed up for the Pan Pizza class. The class structure made it hard to learn honestly. instead of cooking step by step together, all instructions were given at once and we were left to cook independently, which was overwhelming and difficult to remember details like which ingredients to add/when, how long to cook things for and proper technique, especially for beginners. A power outage that required sharing burners added to the disorganization. We were also surprised to be required to share ingredients (including raw meat) with someone we didn't know across from us, which felt awkward for an expensive date experience. There was no clear wrap up at the end, and people began eating and leaving without much direction. Again our chef was great, and we enjoyed the stories and history behind the dishes, but overall the cooking lesson experience didn't match the cost or the hands on learning we were expecting.

After the event, Mike gave me a follow up call to ask how everything went, which I thought was sweet. FYI: Mike told me 10 minutes in a bubble is equivalent to 1 hour of working out...I thought he was lying, but my oh my... HE WAS NOT LYING LOL. My group and I were sweating in the 64 degree weather after playing for only 5 minutes. BE PREPARED TO BE SORE FOR THE NEXT 2-3 days. We definitely felt more sore than we would at the gym. Our very first Six Taste tour was actually the Arts District tour back in 2016, so it was special to return ten years later and experience it again. South Bay Archery was also extremely generous and accommodating over the holidays, as our family was searching for a fun activity to do on New Year's eve with some friends. We booked a private party with Coach Paul and Coach Lani and everyone had a wonderful time! They made sure all 9 participants learned proper safety protocols, and taught our group how to shoot since some of us had no prior experience. They kept a good pace, explaining the challenges of shooting from further distances, and made things extra fun by creating a competition at the end, with the winner getting a prize! After that we relaxed and ate in the party room upstairs, which overlooked the shooting area. We all had a GREAT TIME! Making a reservation was easy, with a wide range of availability, and they answered any pre-appointment questions quickly. Upon arriving with my friends, the lesson all at once insightful, informative, witty, and encouraging. Coach Paul gave us helpful safety tips (side note: leave everything you know about archery from movies/tv at the door) and taught us all about the fundamentals. Coach Lani gave incredibly helpful tips that took my aim and shooting power to the next level. This is an amazing place, whether you've never held a bow before or a seasoned archer looking to take your skills to the next level. My friends and I left having already made plans to return!

As someone who didn't grow up near the ocean, I was apprehensive about taking a 6-day 101/103/104…read moreand 114 ASA certification course suggested by my spouse. But luckily Captain Anthony (aka The Happy Captain) helped to dispel any of those fears. His 30+ years of sailing experience and instruction got us up to speed quickly on the 38-ft catamaran "Untethered". In addition to sailing, we learned provisioning, how to anchor at mooring balls in Catalina, and spent 4 nights on board. It's hard to express they joy I felt at seeing the dozens of dolphins that joined us one afternoon. The man overboard drills we did offshore of Marina Del Rey were also memorable. We brought our own Starlink terminal and were able to familiarize ourselves with some of the navigation and weather apps. Ruth in the office made sure all of our logistics went smoothly. We had signed up a few months prior, with a promo offered during the 2025 Newport Boat Show. Big thanks to the team at Blue Pacific. Highly recommend!
