I cannot overstate the positive impact that Kinetic Impact has had on our lives. I met Dr. Ben years ago for back pain that shut me down completely. In a short period of time working with Dr. Ben, I was pain free and had a program to ensure I could remain active and reduce the risk of future injury. Kinetic has also been fantastic with my teenage son who is active in sports. This has included rehabilitating his broken ankle and regular training sessions with JP Murcia to provide overall strength and health training geared toward the sports he is playing at the time. Everyone is kind, patient, and uses technology to improve health and performance. My son loves seeing Dr. JP, Dr. Ben, and the entire Kinetic team each week! read more

so I've spent the past 4 or 5 months working with JP first on an elbow injury and then progressing into hip mobility, flexibility and running technique. each visit he first asks me for my top priorities and any changes since last time we met, and he tailors every visit to make sure we're addressing those priorities. when there's a longer gap between our visits he provides more" homework" for me to accomplish. I have appreciated how approachable he is, and yet it's very clear that he's made it his life's goal to help others with sports centric injuries and improving their performance. if you want a physical therapy regime laser focused on seeing results, assuming that you're willing to keep up with the work outside of appointment time, then I can highly recommend both kinetic impact and specifically JP for this need. thank you again JP, I look forward to seeing you again soon. read more

I struggled with sciatica back pain early in the year. It was bad. Couldn't work, couldn't sleep well, could barley walk and couldnt even stay upright without crouching down to relieve the pain. All around completely hurting. Saw a Dr and a physical therapist from my health provider. Pretty much told to do stretch's and give it time. Kinda got better and than it came back like 2 months later. I came to kinetic impact on a suggestion from a client. Best money I've ever spent. My therapist PJ was super knowledgeable and started me with some core strengthening exercises. I started getting relief almost immediately but it did take time. It's been about 4 months and I'm now completely pain free. Thanks PJ read more

I came to Dr. Donald through a recommendation from a friend who I train jiu jitsu with and he had great results. I am so glad that he told me about him because I had the same experience. I originally came because of back pain, all over back pain. While in the weeks of addressing the back pain, I injured my bicep/elbow, and then my knee. With each injury, (yes I realize I get injured a lot) he was very attentive and gave me specialized exercises to help heal and strengthen the injuries. Add that to the adjustments and a great workout and my jiu jitsu has never felt so good. The office is easy to find, easy parking, and everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. 10 out of 10, would recommend. read more

I was first introduced to Dr. Ben and Dr. Don through Keone and Mari since I took part in their show as a dancer in "Beyond Babel." During one show, I severely injured my neck and ended up damaging a cervical nerve root which really hindered my range of motion due to the crippling pain. During that time, the show was only going on for 10 weeks. In the entirety of my dance career, I've never met such passionate, holistic, and caring doctors who work undeniably hard for your recovery to get you back up and running as soon as possible. They both took into account that the show was only for 10 weeks at the time, and that what I had (a cervical radiculopathy) would've taken about 6 weeks to heal. Dr. Ben and Dr. Don really took the time to listen to my issues and worked within their own knowledge and outside of that to learn more of what they can do to help me and cut my healing time in half. Incredible. They started to help alleviate the pain by using Active Release Techniques and cupping to relieve the muscle tightness on my upper back, and then approached the nerve root problems by doing a "cervical distraction", and several other exercises which would decompress the nerve and relieve the pain. Then, we would follow with adjustments. As I started to get better, they taught and assigned me an exercise regimen that worked for me and they slowly started to increase the intensity. Dr. Ben took the time to also work with me on modifying some choreography for the whole show (90 minutes of moves!), and taught me so much about the biomechanics behind dance/movement. Even though we were modifying some moves temporarily, there was no difference to the original choreography except that I was able to perform it much more safely and still be able to perform it at my BEST without restriction! And with all of this, I was able to perform at my best after being gone for only 2 AND A HALF WEEKS (Note: my type of injury should've taken 6 weeksto heal)! I thought my time on Beyond Babel was going to be cut short, but they nudged me into the right direction, and taught me so much about the importance behind self-care (both physically and mentally). I can't thank Kinetic Impact enough for their undying commitment, care, knowledge, and support. They really care about you as an overall individual, and will do anything to help in a way where it is tailored to YOU. It shows that they want you to continue to do what you LOVE. If you've been struggling with pain or injuries, KINETIC IMPACT IS THE WAY TO GO. There is no doubt that they'll be the ones who'll help you get back into doing what you love, and to live your life freely. Thank you Dr. Ben and Dr. Don! read more

I have been putting off writing this review because I hate writing and I NEVER post reviews, but I can't go on without taking the time to put into words my gratitude for Donald, Kevin and the whole team at Kinetic Impact. Whether you are a professional athlete or a person who wants to improve their day to day functioning at ANY AGE, do not hesitate to book an appointment here!! You will see improvement in whatever areas you're seeking to refine. I have seen countless physical therapists throughout my career and this was at the highest quality level of treatment I have ever received. I am a NYC based professional dancer and choreographer, I was in La Jolla this past summer for 2.5 months for a one woman dance/theater piece I was creating and performing. I was introduced to Donald through my trainers in NYC, he came very highly recommended. My show and rehearsal schedule was INCREDIBLY intense and physically difficult, and there is no way I would have made it through rehearsals and all 32 performances without the care they provided. I worked with Kevin mostly. He is a highly intuitive and effective physical therapist. You can sense the passion he has for helping you heal in the thoughtful and effective way he approaches sessions. In a way Kevin became a coach as well as a PT for me in the weeks I was seeing him, not only was he able to help me through physical pain but he was able to guide me through some mentally tough times that came with the strenuous activity and injuries I was enduring every day. I also worked with as well Donald a few times for chiropractic based care. Donald has a passion and enthusiasm for his work, you can sense it in sessions with him and also in the way he leads his team. He is a wealth of knowledge, he really takes the time to listen to you. Donald worked with me early on to make a plan to get me through my time in CA and he set up a perfect system for me that exceeded all of my expectations. I can not say enough good things about this place, JUST GO! read more

After 2 unsuccessful foot surgeries I was searching for another option to relieve the pain and inflammation. I was referred to Kinetic Impact and after 6 months of working with Dr. Don my foot is so much better and inflammation is gone. To think that I was settling with this foot pain for 5 years and it only took 6 months for Dr. Don and I working together to reach my goal is so incredible and literally life changing. He gave me the tools to strengthen my muscles, stretch my foot and reduce the pain. It truly is liberating. I was able to walk all over Croatia this summer without any pain. The facility is so clean and the staff is incredible and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Kinetic Impact. read more

I can't say enough about the positive experience I had with Dr. Donald with just 12 sessions. I'm an active 45yo who struggled daily with chronic lower pack pain from a 25yo injury. Donald was quickly able to identify weak areas in my lower back and body. He strategically built a customized PT program targeting the weak muscles. With the right exercises, instruction, technology and guidance Dr. Donald was able to get me to a fitness level that I wouldn't have imagined and most importantly back to doing the activities that I love and had nearly given up on. Life Changing!! read more

There are few times in life you find healers that take there job so seriously all while thinking outside the box. I was introduced to these two amazing souls through a mutual friend and client of theirs. I had a neck spasm that had locked my neck in place and had crippled me into a severe pain I couldn't shake. The regular doctor just gave me medicine to mask the pain but I wanted to get to the root of the problem and fix it for good. They share the same sediment and are holistic at heart. Ben is magically! He used ART techniques to release the tension in my muscles, cupping techniques to get some more of the superficial tension out, adjusted my neck and back, and then once I had more range of motion taught my exercises that would strengthens said area. He is a gem in my self care/healthcare toolbox and I highly recommend these two to anyone looking for incredible overall healthcare. They stay current on new educational tips and tools, are always looking to improve themselves and the community-and it all really shows because they genuinely love what they do. I'm so grateful I found them! Namaste! read more

Kinetic Impact - Ben and I after my neck finally felt better! So grateful! - Chiropractors Near Me - San Diego, California

I've been a student of barre fitness for nearly a decade and started instructing barre classes in August of 2019. I'm not sure what happened, but one day my knee started hurting and I began feeling "popping" sensations in my knee with certain movements. It was hard to tell for certain without an MRI, but all of my symptoms were in line with a bucket handle meniscus tear -- a pretty common injury that I had not had the pleasure of experiencing before. I had a great adjustment from Don when he was in our studio a few months prior, and wanted to take a thoughtful approach towards my knee. It's a pretty damn important joint. Not only in my side work with barre fitness, but also relating to my own personal fitness level and movement needs. I am a pessimist (it's kind of part of my day job as a project manager!) who also puts a huge amount of emotional weight into how my body feels. When things aren't good with my body, things are NOT good overall. I came in feeling defeated with my injury but was more than willing to give some physical work into my problem before exploring anything in the clinic/hospital realm. Don has such a great aptitude to read people's bodies and ask the right questions to get to the direct source of the problem. He works with you to understand your daily movements in your life/sports, and gives you therapeutic alternatives that rehabilitate you and make you stronger. My initial plan with Don was to give it 6 weeks with weekly sessions. After only 4, my symptoms were virtually gone. Around week 3 I was starting to get weary, and Don reassured me that he understood what I was feeling and that he was confident I'd advance in my progress, soon. At week 4 I was 90% back to full function and at week 5 I was no longer even thinking about my knee anymore, it was fully recovered. I told Don on our last session... no offense, but I really didn't expect to fully recover in my injury with his treatment. After a few weeks of pain and modest improvements, I was pretty convinced I'd need more invasive therapies. I am happy to be proven SO wrong :) I highly recommend Kinetic Impact for recovery of any injury you have! read more

I have been a client of Kinetic Impact for six months now. Six months ago, I had terrible knee pain from playing too much beach volleyball & hiking, and sought professionals to help my condition. I had been diagnosed with patellar femoral syndrome. Dr. Donald Mull helped me immensely in my recovery journey these past few months. Thanks to his expert guidance and tailored exercises, my knees regained functional mobility allowing me to return to the activities I love most: Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. I now am able to train pain free thanks to the knowledge & guidance of Dr. Mull. I highly recommend Kinetic Impact if you have any lingering pains holding you back from doing what you love. They will definitely fix your problem. read more

Sharing my positive experience with the team at Kinetic Impact Rehab & Performance. I started to take small group training sessions a couple times a week last year with Dr. Ben and Dr. Donald. Since I started, I've definitely seen improvement in both my strength and body tone in certain areas. My teenagers have also noticed I've learned new activities and exercises that I never thought me as a close to 50-year old would be doing and it is a lot of fun. If you have a busy schedule but can make time for two days a week, I highly recommend you join a class! The second item I wanted to recommend was the chiropractic services. I had not previously seen a chiropractor because I was basically scared to have anyone mess with my back, never had back issues and didn't want to start. However, I recently tweaked something in my lower back that was giving me a lot of pain. I knew that Kinetic Impact also provided the chiropractic services, so I went online and looked at the reviews. Since the reviews were all positive, as well as I knew and trusted these guys, I decided to try it. It was like a miracle; my pain went from a level 8 down to a level 3 the first day. If you are like me and have been feeling apprehensive but have pain, please don't wait, take action and schedule an appointment. read more

I cannot recommend Dr. Don enough! In April of last year I made a cross country drive and my lower body paid the price. I was unable to use my right for much more than a limp and unable to use the stairs without my knee giving out. As a power lifter this was a huge blow to my training. I'd been given anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers, but nothing was improving. I started working with Dr. Don and within a month I was able to use the stairs again, started squatting again with in 5 mos and I'm back to in meet prep for this April. I can confidently say that using their services has put me back in the game. I cannot thank them enough for helping me! read more

I arrived at Kinetic after having tried accupuncture, massage, cupping and more. Dr. Ben is the only provider who identified a plan that would solve my severe golf elbow/tendinitis. I am now back to golf and feel better and stronger than ever. The program literally fixed everything I hoped for. I highly recommend Dr. Ben and Kinetic! read more

I've been an amateur athlete for as long as I can remember, and as a very busy business owner, working out is a daily sanity check. About 3 months ago I was trail running and hit a root which propelled me forward landing all of my weight on my outstretched right arm, which jammed my shoulder, and my elbow. I immediately knew that I had hurt my ankle, shoulder and elbow and was devastated. I had every option available to me yet the only person I knew I needed to talk to was Ben. There's a deep level of trust and knowledge that he embraces, and I knew implicitly that he could provide an assessment that would get me moving forward in the healthiest and safest way possible. Within a few hours of falling, I had met with him and he had an entire plan worked out that would allow my injuries to heal yet not stop moving. That ability to provide strength and security when you are at your most vulnerable is a true gift. read more

So for the past couple months Doctors Ben and Don have been my physical therapist throughout the time i was doing 2 hour dance show. Let me tell you, i wouldn't be able to get through this show without them. If i has problems with my back, knees, hip, literally anything they could fix it and also tell you how to strength. A plus is that they are also great people and care about your well being. i recommend them 10/10 read more

After serving 28 years in the Marine Corps I was dealing with some serious back pain that had been plaguing me for years. After several years of mediocre at best physical training via the military I could not get any resolve without medication. Fast forward to my retirement and I was referred to Dr. Donald Mull via the VA hospital. He assessed my situation and created a functional plan that has resulted in relief that I never thought was attainable. The Kinetic Impact team will go above and beyond to ensure the problem is identified and an attainable functional plan is created to address the issue. I highly recommend the Kinetic Impact team as they care about their patients and will not rest until a reasonable resolution is provided. read more

I spent over 12 years of my life as a gymnast and twice as long being seen by different doctors for the accompanying injuries. After a final back injury, I spent years trying various medications, injections, and then surgery. My doctors told me that I could never do gymnastics or another sport again. They only focused on what they thought I couldn't or shouldn't do anymore. By the time I came to Dr. Donald, I feared reinjuring my back so much that I avoided most physical activity. However, with Dr. Donald's help along the way, I introduced new movement and activity that I hadn't thought possible anymore. He spent the time to talk with me, learn about my goals, and help me communicate with my other doctors. His progressive exercise plans and pep talks helped me build back confidence in my body's abilities. Instead of constantly fearing reinjury, I've begun to push my body again and get back into sports. Now, I try to spend my time mountain biking, hiking, and enjoying life more. If you're feeling at all discouraged about your pain or current doctor, give Dr. Donald a call. He'll spend the time to help teach you how to better manage your pain and get back out there! read more

I don't think words can fully describe how thankful I am for Dr. Ben and Dr. Don. I was introduced to Kinetic Impact through Keone and Mari as a dancer for "Beyond Babel". Prior to the dance show, I never saw a chiropractor or even worked with one so this was a first experience for me. Over a span of about 6 months, I was able to see them weekly after dancing in 5-8 shows a week and I highly benefited from their treatments and their education they would share with me about how I can take care of myself. Something special about Dr. Ben and Dr. Don is that they truly care about each of their patients and they really take the time to understand a patient's history and personal goal to getting better. They are both excellent healthcare providers that make each patient feel welcomed and reassured that they are in a safe environment. They truly go above and beyond with each patient and I can't thank them enough for what they did not only for me but for many other people they treat. Dr. Ben and Dr. Don further inspired me to become a chiropractor and they have been mentors that I look up to and aspire to be. I highly recommend working with Dr. Ben and Dr. Don because they have changed my life in such a positive and healthy way and I would only want others to experience that. read more

Dr Ben is a life saver! I had severe back problem and had been to several doctors who prescribed pain medication and physio but nothing worked. Started seeing Dr Ben as my husband had been going to him to fix his posture! I'm so glad I listened to my husband and gave Kinetic impact a try. Dr Ben, Dr Donald and Karlee are all FABULOUS! I've not been in pain for over a year now. We've continued seeing Dr Ben regularly now for over 15 months and it's helped changed our lifestyle. Go see them if you want to live healthier and happier! read more

Dr. Ben has helped me immensely in just a short period of time. I've been struggling with knee pain and joint mobility issues for years, flared up by certain types of workouts. I've tried other PT treatments, Ortho, you name it.....and they all treated the flare ups, but not the root cause. Dr. Ben worked to not only treat my pain, but determine the root cause, strengthen, and provide solutions to fitness movements without pain instead of just telling me not to do them. He understands fitness, HIIT, and strength training extremely well and is a great resource for any type of athlete as well as anyone experiencing pain. He listens and works to treat your whole body. Their office is great, and everyone there is very caring. So happy to have found them! read more

Okay this review is LONG overdue but I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ben!! I have had a bad back for years and have seen several doctors/chiropractors over the years...with little to no relief! I started seeing Dr. Ben in September and I was instantly impressed with his knowledge of the body and how many questions he would ask to really figure out what's going on. He worked on me a few times and I already started to feel better. But in October, I threw it out so bad that I could hardly walk! I saw Dr. Ben twice within the first few days and I was so grateful that he didn't just jump to try and fix it. He was honest about the situation, moved slowly to try and relieve some pain, and after the 2nd visit recommended I get an MRI and see a specialist. I truly valued his opinion and respected that he felt like I needed more help than he was able to do at that time. I got the MRI (which Dr. Ben called me to thoroughly go over and help me understand exactly what it said) and saw a spine specialist. The specialist gave me medication to ease the pain and basically said time should heal it. I scheduled my follow up 4 weeks out and he said if I was still in pain at that time, we would do an epidural shot. Dr. Ben followed up with me and I told him what the other doc had said. His response; "We need to do everything we can to make sure you aren't in pain at that appointment. If we can avoid a needle in your back, we need to!" Hallelujah!! I had an appointment with Dr. Ben that Saturday and he just worked on getting some mobility in my back and set me up with about 5 exercises/stretches that I needed to do every day! I'm not even kidding when I tell you that by Monday, I already started feeling better! It felt so good to move my body and not be in total pain!! I continued on these exercises for weeks and was in minimal pain at my specialist follow up...so no epidural was done! I was back to working out (with modifications) after 6 weeks and continue to work on building the strength through my core and back! I am so so grateful for Dr. Ben helping me through this incredibly frustrating and challenging time and highly recommend him!! Everyone at Kinetic Impact is friendly, the office is perfectly clean every single time, and they were SO friendly to my kids that I ended up having to bring with me most of the time! Thank you Dr. Ben!!! read more

Kinetic Impact is fantastic. I suffered from a borderline grade II ankle sprain and Dr. Ben and Dr. Don were able to nurse me back to full mobility in less than 4 weeks! Ben and Donald are truly the best. I went in with chronic low back pain that would put me out for days and hip pain that would leave me dragging my leg. Dr. Donald has provided me with a weekly treatment plan to strengthen my weak muscles and stretch my whole body to build my overall foundation. He asks a lot of questions throughout the session to ensure the proper muscles are being strengthened and there is no pain. He is great at demonstrating and correcting my form as I do the exercise or modifying the movement on the spot if needed. Due to his overall strength and stretching program I've been able to run again without low back pain or any hip issues. read more

I have had chronic lower back pain for the past several years-even after chiropractic care, physical therapy, and physician visits. I was coming to terms with being in pain for the rest of my life. My friend referred me to Kinetic Impact, and after the first visit with Dr. Donald, I could tell this was a different type of place and I had hope that I would get better. The questions Dr. Donald asked about my daily activities, the type of pain I felt and when, as well as asking me about what was important in my life made me hopeful that he was going to get to the bottom of my issues and help me. After working with Dr. Donald, I have pain free DAYS, not just minutes, or if I was lucky in the past, hours. I feel like a weight has been lifted and I can go back to doing activities I haven't been able to in quotes some time. Thank you so much! read more

I've been working with Donald for several months now and he has been absolutely amazing. Very professional and courteous and I always feel listened to when I'm explaining my ailments. When thinking about his course of treatment Donald takes into account my lifestyle and how to best treat me as an individual. He uses a variety of modalities (from chiropractic adjustments to taping and cupping to manual therapy) to make the most of his time with a patient. I highly recommend seeing Donald as part of injury treatment/prevention program and/or as an addition to your self-care regimen. read more

I came here in a mode of desperation after 4 months of chronic heel pain, and learning the hard way that the general medical system prioritizes money over quality care. Dr. Ben DeLuca was honest with me, and promised to deliver the best possible care he could using all the knowledge of the body he has. Although still with my heel pain, he delivered on that promise, and I left his office with a plethora of new knowledge, improvements in other areas of my feet, and most of all, hope. Injuries can bring people to their rock bottom, and Dr. DeLuca understands and recognizes the serious mental struggle that comes with that. He provided me with the individual care I was seeking, and I recommend his office to anyone looking for a real solution to their pain. (A little expensive tho lol) read more

Kinetic Impact is an amazing facility with incredible customer service. I've worked with both Dr. Ben & Dr. Don for six months now and have never felt better. I've struggled with minor injuries as an athlete and have been feeling better than ever. Their skills are out of this world and I 100% recommend Kinetic Impact to everyone and anyone! read more

My Pilates instructor recommended Dr. Mull at Kinetic Impact when she noticed that I was mid-aligned and was suffering from lower back pain. I have been so pleased with Dr. Mull's treatment, not only because he corrected my alignment and alleviated my back pain, but also because he treated me with "gentle" chiropractic care. I do not like having my neck and back "cracked" when I'm adjusted, so I appreciated that Dr. Mull was able to do his treatments without "cracking" me. I highly recommend Dr. Mull at Kinetic Impact! read more

We first began seeing Dr. Donald and Dr. Ben when my hockey-playing son's hip pain returned at the end of his season for the 3rd year in a row. He was in constant pain and some days it hurt to even walk, and he was unable to play the sport he loves. We took him to Kinetic Impact, and after a few sessions with them, my son was able to start moving again and eventually built up the strength to start playing hockey again! Naturally, when my lower back pain flared up, this time instead of just "dealing" with it, I went to Dr. Donald for help. He evaluated the source of the pain and showed me gentle, easy movements designed to help alleviate my discomfort, strengthen my body, and enable me to eventually resume my daily activities. After only a few visits, I was feeling great but was hesitant and scared that I would re-injure myself, but Dr. Don was positive and encouraging, and over-saw my entire recovery with compassion and understanding. He has always made himself available to me for any questions or concerns, and the level of personalized care I continue to receive, even months after my initial visit, is INVALUABLE! read more

I was referred to Kinetic by a personal injury attorney after a recent car accident. My low back and neck were sore and range of motion was very limited. Doctor Don literally saved my life. I was in a terrible car accident in April right after Covid started. I tried to get vital care from a number of providers including my own very expensive health insurance. Because of Covid I could not get anyone to see me. I was quickly discharged from Scripps Hospital since I was not a Covid patient with serious injuries. I honestly I thought that I would not survive the first two nights after my accident. I tried being readmitted to Scripps, I tried emergency rooms, urgent care centers - all to be turned away. I was in a terrible amount of pain and suffering. I understand it was Covid but my injuries were serious and I required immediate and educated medical attention.I was fortunate that a friend had gone to see Dr. Mull before the pandemic. She urged me to get in touch with Dr. Mull. I didn't even expect to hear back from him. I was in agony on that Friday night and with it being a weekend and thinking about all the doctors that had turned me away I was sure I would not get a return phone call until Monday. I was surprised when he not only texted me on that Friday night but he made special arrangements to be Covid compliant and open his office on a Saturday for my emergency. At the point I saw him I was in extreme pain and distraught. He not only was an incredible physician getting me the medical treatment I needed but he also provided a great bedside manner in terms of listening to my specific pain and emotional issues as a result of the accident. I have never met a doctor that has the resources, referrals, community and legal contacts that Dr. Donald Mull has. He provided me with 360° care that has been paramount to my recovery to my ongoing recovery. His office staff is amazing. He is organized. And frankly makes you feel like you are his only patient and that he is on call for you. That is a really special characteristic for a doctor in this day and age. I highly recommend him and Kinetic Impact if you are dealing with any kind of pain issues or chronic conditions. read more

Having been in the fitness and physical therapy field for over 8 years now, Ben and Donald are 2 people who have stood out tremendously. They are top of the line chiropractors that specialize in rehab. They aren't your typical pop and adjust you in 5 minute chiropractors. If you make the right choice and decide to work with these two, expect a very thorough assessment/consultation followed by completely individualized one on one treatment that reflects high quality physical therapy and chiropractic treatment. Love that they are evidence based and not foo-foo magical chiropractors. I was involved in a really bad car accident and they have helped me on the road to rehab, although I am not 100% better yet I am confident they will get me there and have already done wonders for my pain. Will use these guys for life. read more
