Dr. Renner and Dr. Melikian are fantastic! I started seeing Dr. Renner for hip and back discomfort, shoulder pain, and lack of mobility with my left arm, but he knocked most of it out after my first visit. I'm a Muay Thai hobbyist, and it's great that he's also a martial artist (both him and Dr. Melikian are seriously legit Shotokan Karate practitioners) and has that extra level of insight regarding body mechanics. He's even given me some interesting tips on kicking! The level of treatment and the education he gives me on what he's doing is amazing. I've even noticed that the treatments have had a corrective effect on my slightly droopy right eyelid too (bonus!). Dr. Margarite is an angel!!!!! About 2 years ago I was in a bad state. I had bad anxiety and depression. I went to go see my medical doctor and told him about my state, and without running any tests gave me antidepressants. I was on the antidepressants for two days and my anxiety got worse - for those of you have experienced anxiety you know what I'm talking about, that not in control feeling. The third day I decided I wasn't going to take them anymore. I researched what I should take when dealing with anxiety and treatments I could do. Ashwagandha and acupuncture seemed to be the top choices. I yelped acupuncturist and Kinesis Healthcare had amazing ratings and the individuals seemed very happy with their experience. I purchased a LivingSocial deal to try acupuncture for the first time. I was able to secure an appointment within a three-day window and my appointment started right on time. I received amazing personal service from Dr. Melikian. At a high level, I spent one hour being interviewed and having various muscle groups tested. This was the basis for my treatment, and it felt very oriented to our discussion. Dr. Melikian listened to me and I felt like she understood what I was saying and what I wanted to accomplish. Any questions that I had were easily answered to my satisfaction. The acupuncture lasted 30 minutes and was very relaxing. During this time, Dr. Melikian left soft music on (that she let me choose) and left the room. She came back twice to check on me and make sure I was comfortable. After the treatment, we had a debrief and discussed the effects of the treatment and my satisfaction. The only thing that struck me as odd during my visit was the office space: essentially, the treatment is one-on-one and takes place confidentially behind the only door. The office desk is where the consultation takes place, and the space immediately behind is where the acupuncture table is set up. Don't get me wrong, the space is not crowded, and the arrangement feels comfortable and very personal. Initially, I was slightly skeptical, but it ended up being a positive influence to my experience. All needles were packaged and sterilized, the acupuncture table was clean, and the office has a strict no-smells policy due to clients with sensitivities to perfumes, colognes, and chemicals. Dr. Margarite BLEW MY MIND!!! I don't normally write reviews but she has had such a positive impact on my health and my life that I feel the world needs to know. I was introduced to her through my father after I graduated college and my body was a mess to say the least. Over the past few months we have worked together to get my body back on track. Dr. Margarite has totally changed my definition of healthy. I used to think since I ate organics and worked out that I was healthy. Boy was I wrong. Kinesis' take on health is all encompassing and holistic. It is not limited to just chiropractic medicine. It's about looking at your body and mind as 1, not two separate entities. Numerous times she has figured out that different strained muscles in my back are the physical manifestation of stressors in my personal life. She has helped me CURE my endometriosis. I was on birth control for 5 years because my gynecologist told me there was no cure and that this was the only way to control the pain. I LOVE DR. MARGARITE!!!! I was struggling with Stomach / Digestive issues for years. I saw as many as 6 different traditional stomach doctors and only "solved" my problem by diagnosing myself and bringing it to my Dr's attention. From all those visits none of the doctors could help me pinpoint my issue. Once I was diagnosed with Gallbladder disease and had my gallbladder removed, I thought my problems were over and my life would go back to normal. I was wrong. I still suffered from stomach problems / pains, vomiting and nausea frequently. The point of removing my gallbladder was to alleviate these problems. Sadly that wasn't the case. The Acupuncture treatment I have been receiving not only cleared up the shoulder pain & inflation in my shoulders up, it also healed my left shoulder up. I've been going to Dr. Renner for several years now on a regular, as -needed basis. My daughters (15 & 12) are also clients and we have all known him for many more years as our karate Sensei. In all my dealings with him, he has been respectful, thoughtful, thorough, generous, skilled, patient, a lifetime learner, and determined to what's right for all in involved. I go to regular PT at an amazing place for my neck (covered by health insurance and closer to home), so after I fell on the ice, I had them follow up with my new issues. After 3 adjustments at this place, specific new PT/electromagnetic stim/massage/stretches and significant improvement, I was still in medium discomfort, so I asked Dr. Renner to fit me in. He made special plans to meet me in the office the next day, and we worked on the ice injury. It turned out to be more than just a physical injury, and had many layers that would never have gotten addressed at a traditional doctor. I haven't been to a chiropractor in many years with just a bad overall experience. Dr. Melikian listened & took notes during our initial consultation & went thru several neurological tests to determine the care that I needed. Since I have 2 pinched nerves in my neck, I was slowly experiencing tingling & numbness in both of my arms & hands & was also informed by my neurologist that I would need surgery if those symptoms persisted.
