I found myself in the unthinkable position of needing cremation services for my mother. I…read moreoriginally chose another place but when my mom actually transitioned they didnt answer the phone. So I called my back up option and boy am I glad I did. They quickly came and offered their condolences. They were very sensitive to us. They even told us to let them know when we were ready to close the bag. Upon leaving they gave us a card and told us to call to set up a time to come in. The following day my brother and myself went to the Steinbauer funeral home in Solon to meet them and pay for our direct cremation (unbeatable price btw). They were professional, helpful and informative throughout the whole process. The guy that lives on the premises (tim maybe) even offered to get a lock of hair for me. Something so small and intimate yet I was to bewildered to think of it but I am so glad I have it. They walked us through the process and gave a us a loose timeline on what happens next. I already had an urn and cremation jewelry (they did not mind putting ashes in the extra pieces) to leave with them. The day of the memorial I went to pick up the urn but there was some confusion and it wasn't quite ready. I was able to take the urn with me to the memorial but would need to return for the paperwork. The guy that lived on the premises (Tim maybe) said we could stop by after the memorial regardless of the time and he would take care of us. We showed up at about 1030pm or so and he was so gracious. I would say that they went above and beyond for us and I would recommend their services to anyone.

I was in the funeral industry for years so i understand what is needed for good customer service and to help a family have arrangements completed efficiently. Took hours for them to come to transport the body to the crematory. I had to track down the funeral director for the paperwork needed for cremation to take place. The remains were not ready when the funeral director said we could pick them up. I had asked for fingerprints to be obtained and after many negatives i wouldn't believe they would even be hers. Don't use this service unless you want more stress at an already stressful time.

It has been over a decade since that happened and I still remember it to this day (and always will). They did not have to be so compassionate and helpful and guide me, but they were absolutely wonderful. It's already in my will to use to DiCiccos for my final arrangements and I recommend them so highly to anyone.

And my uncle Tito's about this time last year. Blocks away from the long lost Front Row Theater where I saw my first concert. With my dad. My uncle always arranged the anjual Santana concert outing at Blossom. They both dug Latin rhythms. The whole family being from Argentina. I became a man at this stretch of historic Mayfield road. I was still a kid(32) when my dad passed. And when my uncle passed last year I fully realized my place in the world. I tried to let go of childish pursuits(girls, infamy, fun) and instead wholly focused myself on family, household and legacy. Arby's is right next door if you need a Jamocha break during this heavy, depressing review. I don't come out to this part of town much anymore. Not really any businesses I fancy. Well, maybe Puff n Stuff and Master Pizza. Anyhow, I did a lot of growing up in my two visits here. I mended some fences, made some impossibly tall. So goes life. Saw people I hadn't seen in decades. Felt emotions I hadn't felt in many years. My dad, uncle and brother are all buried feet apart just up the road in Chesterland. This is a solemn part of town for me. And I think Flo lives at Progressive up on route 91, so yeah... I don't know where I'm going with this. So, as for this establishment- respectful, classy, loving. Recommended.

But when the unthinkable happened my husband quickly reached out to Lou. He told me not to look anywhere else he is someone you can trust. When the moment came all of the details were taken care of and highly organized. Then came the moment where we had to sit with him and discuss next steps. I had no clue but he patiently guided us and made sure every thing was carefully thought of with no rush. His employees were EXCELLENT! From choosing the casket, getting the right image and verbiage for the obituary. Making sure that they had a few pictures of her so that they could apply right makeup and hair style, it was amazing. I'm glad that they had our back. The day of the viewing, the father who led prayers and last rights all amazing. The procession to the cemetery all so beautiful. Lou our family is forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Excellent value for the casket we chose and everything else. Just sit with him and have a chat, I'm sure he can work with different fair budgets.
