As a member of clergy, I have never seen such poor service provided to a family. They did not reserve seats up front for the family for the service - I had to do that. They did not offer to hand out bulletins to those in attendance at the service - I had to do that. They did not have any music that could be used for the service - I had to do that. They did not dismiss people following the service or encourage the family to remain seated so that people could offer final condolences. When I asked if there was anything I needed to know about the graveside service the next day, the funeral director said, "Bundle up and don't wear high heels." (I am female clergy!) They did not wait for everyone to arrive at the entrance to the cemetery to process to the gravesite together. After placing the casket on the rollers at graveside, Dennis Osinski proceeded to tell a completely inappropriate story to the family about a mishap at another service. Finally, after the graveside service was over, Dennis called the cemetery workers over to begin lowering the casket into the vault while the family was still present - without asking the family if it was okay. The family stated to me that they did not want to see this. I encouraged them to continue to their cars and asked the funeral director to please wait until the family had left. He said that "they" had said it was okay. I was standing there the entire time - he never asked any of the family. This funeral home is clearly not in the business of providing ANY care for grieving families. They should not be in business! read more
