What can I say about Pernel Jones & Sons Funeral Home. Unapologetically, I can say the following:…read more1. The entire staff were prompt in responding to my family's requests. 2. Mr Jones known forever in my family as "Dr. Jones". Was masterful in making our casket selections; insurance details; hospital coordination; and most importantly being fair on the pricing. 3. Henry, the makeup artist made up my granny and she was as natural as she was in real life. His patience was well noted. 4. The limo driver (can't remember his name) was courteous and had such a pleasant disposition. We felt well cared for the whole day. For this to be a sad day for my family Pernel's Funeral Home made sure to walk us through a very difficult day with true grace. Thank you for your service and professionalism.

Being in Ohio, home from Texas due to my mom passing. Mom insurance had lapsed and we had to pay…read morefor the cremation. After paying we were told the remains would be ready that following Friday. No call or update. I called the Tuesday after that Friday just to allow some time. I was told the following Tuesday. Just called and left a message today. Please tell families a ETA that makes sense and do not string us along. This is not a easy time and it's been a month now and I can't really do much without her death certificate and I need her remains so that I can go back to Texas but at this point. I don't have a job there so I don't know what I'm going to do. But my mom's remains an and birth certificate will help to move past this experience and provide a move towards closure.

Good morning. Reaching out to you all to hopefully get my family results. On November 15, our…read morefather passed of pancreatic cancer. Sadly, he didn't have insurance. A fact we didn't learn until after his passing. We chose Watson Funeral Home on 109th in Superior for his services. An agreement was made that if we paid in full by December 4th, we would have his remains (we had to choose cremation) and 100 obituaries ready to be picked on the December 6th, as we were having an intimate memorial service for him on December 8th. We paid in full on December 3rd. When we called on the 6th to pick up his remains and obituaries, we were told that neither would be ready until December 10th, without remorse or apologies. Our family was forced to have a Memorial without our Father's remains. The added stress this added to an already stressful situation can not be put into words. Hoping you all can help us shed some light on this tragedy and Watson makes it right some way.

It seems crazy to review a cemetery but honestly it is a must visit. There is a lot of history…read morehere. James A Garfield tomb and the Wade Chapel are incredible. So much detail and there are volunteers in both locations to share the history. While youre there take the time to walk around. "Lake View Cemetery" is an amazing part of Cleveland's history and future…read more I've heard people are just dieing to get in there. (Enough dad jokes) It is no coincidence that it sits right next to "Little Italy". Neither one would exist without the other. All the stone cutters, masons and sculptures that created most of the fabulous mausoleums, crypts and works of art that highlight the cemetery were brought here from the old country and settled there to do their work. Having been born and raised on the south side of Cleveland I have driven and strolled through the pathways of this mesmerizing place more times than I can count. My family came here in every season. My grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren have all done the same. "Lake View" is much more than just a cemetery. It is far more like a park. A park filled with beautiful landscaping and art. Just about every important industrialists, politician, philanthropist, business men and women of every ilk from many generations is there. President Garfield's monument is both beautiful and imposing. The chapel of Jeptha Wade is amazingly beautiful inside and out at the edge of the lake. The tallest obelisk in the cemetery belongs to John D. Rockefeller. And everyone knows who Eliot Ness is. And the list goes on and on. The groundskeeping, landscaping, gardens, trees, flowers... everything is gorgeous. It really is a wonderful park. You can and should spend some time there. Take friends and family. It really is amazing.

I would never recommend this funeral to anyone, they broke my heart in many ways, I couldn't bury…read moremy mother, she passed away January 17th 2018,she was 72 years old, I went to them because of the ratings and reviews and because she lived right around the corner she loved going to St. Rocco's festival, not knowing how cruel these men are and disrespectful they are, when I went to do the arrangements, it was hard enough being there, I tried my best to come up with another $4,138.00, but I couldn't, we have no family and my mother only has my brother and myself, they wanted the money by Sunday January 21,so I decided on cremation, My mother was paying a life insurance for over 26 years not knowing that all she got was 2,000 dollars from it, so just imagine how we we're treated, of course they wanted the 2,000 and more for a cremation, but that money doesn't mean anything to me, what matters is what happen after that, Monday she was cremated, Wednesday was a Mass, which by the way was a joke, He tells me to be there by 5:30pm, So we went the church was locked, I'm looking across the street thinking it might be there I saw people in the funeral home, but it can't be Mass should be in church, minutes after, I see A. Ripepi crossing the street with my mothers urn, nothing in the church was ready for my mother, for when we got there, I paid for flowers and they had none for my mother, they used the other persons flowers, the cards were wrong and he did not fix anything on the website, so other people showed up in Middleburg Heights. I feel that I was discriminated, because I couldn't pay for an expensive funeral.
