Everyone I know also speaks so highly of this location from the clean facilities to the staff. I miss my child during the day but the TLE app keeps me updated and sends pictures.

So we had to un-enroll her. Also had an experience where there were only 2 kids in the class around 7:45am, and 2 teachers. One teacher was holding a crying toddler, yet the other teacher neglected to comfort our daughter who was screaming at her feet, while she continued to talk to the other teacher. She only interacted with her when she saw me looking at her from the side window. This was day 3 of my daughter being enrolled there. Which completely broke my heart seeing this as a first time day-care mom. I spoke to the director and requested a specific teacher be assigned to my daughter because I noticed she was the most nurturing from what I'd seen, but was told they could not honor my request and assign a specific teacher cause they don't take requests. A few kids had yellow snot running down their noses which also resulted in my daughter having a terrible flu for 2 weeks. Stopping in a couple times during the day we also noticed that her bottle and food was placed on the table and left, and if they dropped or she didn't eat, there'd be little attempt to ensure she has something in her tummy. So she was always extremely hungry and cranky when we picked her up and drank 2 bottles on the drive home from roseland to Montclair. Our experience was not the greatest, but yours may be different. Eventually, her stopping eating and drinking after a week of being there forced us to remove her & we appreciate miss Tessa understanding and issuing us a partial refund.

Initially we were thrilled Kids R Kids was opening less than a mile from our house and we signed them up for their summer camp (they were running a promo presidents day weekend) that was scheduled to open June 2017. The opening kept getting pushed back and I kept holding out hope the school would open. Perhaps KRK truly didn't know when they would open but I'm glad our family made the decision to stop waiting and check out AMS. We had heard of this school from a friend that was happy with the program. BEST DECISION EVER. My son was in daycare for four years prior to AMS and in the six months he has been at apple he is reading books, sounding out words and interested in reading/learning. His confidence has soared and as my regular babysitter put it, "He is thriving". The director, Mrs. Zarro, is every parents dream. I've eavesdropped on the regular Wednesday meetings with the staff (children are present) and witness Mrs. Zarro's encouragement to the staff to get involved with the students at every turn. "if you can't sing, read a story out loud, etc". Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Korbi are so good at what they do. It puts a working mom's mind and heart at ease knowing they are being educated and cared for by truly remarkable people. Like I said, my only regret is that I didn't enroll my kids sooner.

Total charge was $2,400 for one month of summer camp. The price is not my main issue. Its the manner in which they bill and THREATEN. I usually send my daughter to Lightbridge which has smaller class sizes and is a better school IMO and have never been billed in that manner. Apple Montesorri billing practice is threatening and predatory in nature. On Monday, 3/20, I received an email indicating paymment should in full in 2 days or "your application will be denied". . I didnt want my daughter to attend a school with such practices so I didnt pay tge inviice forgetting that I had given them my credit card info. . My card was charged on Friday 3/24. Today on 3/27, I contacted them telling the school I'm no longr interested in their summer program. They claim I cant reverse the charge and my daughter must attend their summer program that starts 2 months away. I've already called my bank to reverse the charge. But had to leave a review as this practice is predatory and manipulative. I only wanted my daughter to attend due to the daily swim classes n activities. But I could not in good faith support a school thats so impersonal and threatens parents. Their proram doent start till after July 4 by tge way. We're still in March!.

Granted this was during COVID but none of the other schools had such a high turnover. It was also messy, disorganized and their communication was horrible. I think could have lived with all that. However, my 3 year old came home with a black eye one day. She told me that "Ms Yin Li kicked her in the face with her foot because she was angry that she would not fall asleep during nap time". When I called the school the next day to ask what happened, the principal, owner and other staff, tried to give me 100 theories as to what could have happened to her (she must have bumped herself against the cot, she probably hit herself against the bench because kids fight for the red bench, it happened outside of school, etc) instead of focusing on what my child was saying. I tried to have the school press charges against Yin Li, but she had already also resigned and they told me it was "too late" (maybe 5 weeks had passed since the incident) so I decided to file a complaint with the state (which came back inconclusive but at least I reported and recorded the incident). Please don't send your kids to this place, there are other much better schools in the area. Her sincere understanding of early childhood development completely shines through. Her dedication and warmth made such a difference. The school has a cozy, close-knit vibe, which is another reason we love it. There always seemed to be more than enough teachers present, far beyond the typical "ratio" of 12 or 15 kids to one teacher that you see at other schools. Knowing that the staff aren't stretched too thin gave me so much peace of mind. Every teacher who has ever greeted me has done so with a genuinely lovely smile.
