This was off just having a terrible experience with some shirts getting butchered by the local dry cleaner, so I wanted a more professional take. I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. That's what his work is worth to me. 10/10 will be making sure I get my nephews' first suits tailored by him too

Head tailor Juan Cuello is exceptionally skilled and relentlessly professional--he simply won't stop until the fit is perfect. Over the past six years, I've brought him around a dozen off-the-rack suits, and he has consistently transformed them to look and feel like high-end made-to-measure pieces. The difference in drape, balance, and overall silhouette is remarkable. I've used other tailors for alterations, but none come close to Juan's level of precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. He takes real pride in his work, and it shows in every finished garment. Juan is truly one of a kind.

I went to this place to fix a pair of pants with a hole in the knee. It was quite far from my home,…read morebut it looked like a professional shop, so I decided to go there. I visited on Wednesday. Since it was just a simple patch job, I thought it would be done quickly -- but they told me to come back on Monday. When I asked why, the old tailor -- an ill-tempered, grumpy old woman -- got annoyed and said she was too busy. I said fine and came back today, Monday. But the work wasn't done at all, and she told me to come again tomorrow. I said no -- you told me to come on Monday. Then she got irritated again and claimed she only said that because I "pushed her to hurry," which was completely untrue. That really upset me, but I didn't want to argue. She finally said she'd do it if I came back in 30 minutes. It was freezing outside, so I waited. Fifteen minutes later, she called and said it was ready. I picked it up -- but the job was a mess. It looked like a total amateur had done it. I didn't argue and just left. I absolutely do not recommend this place. The tailor is a grumpy, bad-tempered old lady who should really retire and spend her time with her grandkids instead. *** look at the pics how she was done with it. So ugly finishing ***

I went to Christina because she's right around the corner from my apartment and the reviews looked…read morepretty good - I brought her a dress and pants and requested some simple alterations. I needed the dress the following week but told her I could wait on the pants, and she said she could have them both ready the following Wednesday at noon (this was the Thursday before); the dress was a bit of a crunch time situation but she assured me it would be ready by then. I showed up on Wednesday at noon and neither item had been touched. As she runs a pretty small operation, I could see everything she was working on - it was pretty minimal, so I just didn't really understand why neither item had been worked on. They were still sitting right where she'd put them the previous week! She just sort of shrugged in response when I asked why they weren't ready. I came back a few days later to pick up the items, and she'd left pins in the bottom of my pants - she didn't hem them as requested (although she did alter the waist). She wasn't there, though, so I just paid the remaining balance to the cobbler she shares the space with and took the items and found another tailor to hem the pants because I didn't want to deal with it. The dress turned out beautifully, at least! Disappointing experience overall for sure.
