I went in with my heels and she pinned it all and said it would be ready in 5 days and had me pay in full. I called 6 days later to let her know I'd be in in 2 days to pick it up. Upon arrival I presented my receipt and she looked confused and wandered around looking for my dress (I could see it hanging in the garment bag I left on a rack) after a few minutes she came back to look at the receipt again and I said uh its on the rack over there. she went and grabbed it and looked at me weird and then spoke to the other lady there, which I could not understand. She then told me she never actually did it and she could have it done by the next day. Confused, I said ok. When I got home and tried it on the next day I was even more confused because it was still too long. With the same heels on as I had when she had pinned it. Several inches too long. At this point I did not have any time left to get it fixed. I had several people look at the hem to see if I was going crazy. I understand she's professional but everyone said it clearly looks like the dress had not been hemmed at all. I am 6 foot tall and was wearing 2.5 inch heels. I ordered a tall in the dress so only needed a couple inches off and after paying $60 and having to come back because she forgot to do it, I was still tripping on the dress all night. I truly believe my dress was not altered at all.

I brought him a…read moredouble-layered bridesmaid dress to shorten in length and a long sleeved dress that had busted at the seam along the shoulder that I thought was surely headed for the trash. But Chappy and his staff were able to save my dress and shorten my expensive bridesmaid dress with no problem at all. It was done in a timely fashion and for a very reasonable price. The only complaint I have are the hours they are open (typical work hours that conflicted with my own work hours and not open on weekend and having difficulty getting in contact with him in the beginning.) UPDATE: took in a pair of jeans to be shortened and was told they would be completed by the next week... called the next week and was unable to get a hold of anyone. My boyfriend went by the shop and a sign was posted that the business would be closed that entire week. We attempted to call the day after they said they would return and all calls went straight to voicemail. We moved an hour and a half away the week after we were told my jeans would be ready, which means we will have to drive back to get my jeans whenever we get confirmation that they are ready - huge inconvenience and not very professional for a business. After reaching Chappy's (at the phone number provided to me by the previous YELP reviewer), he saw me the next day for a fitting and had both pairs altered the following day. I could tell by his assurance while fitting me that he knew what he was doing, but I was unprepared for the absolute invisible nature of his work. It was beautiful! I will save my alterations needs for Chappy to take care of whenever I return to Nacogdoches!
