I had a great experience here! The staff working were very personable and friendly. I got a regular manicure and it came out looking great. It was $20 and included a hand massage with lotion , trimming cuticles & filing nails. I did not feel rushed at all, and overall the atmosphere was enjoyable. :) (In response to a previous review I saw, I can confirm this salon did not smell overwhelmingly of chemicals. She takes the time to make sure each one is the correct length and will try on different colors to help you decide your favorite My manicure lasts weeks! Decided to give this place a try because I didn't have time before our trip and was not impressed. They aren't as detailed as my home salon. Both of my pinky nails were filed crooked and the others are still rough at the edges. The picture doesn't even reflect how bad it looks in person. $55 for gel mani and regular pedi+ tip. Would only come back if desperate for a polish change because the foot scrub and effort was half @$$. The paint job on my toe nails is transparent in places and looks like $hit when I look up close. They were either rushing or just don't take pride in their work. read more

my favorite nail salon on lbi!! everyone at kim's is always so friendly and does a phenomenal job on my nails. i get acrylics and i can confidently say they do the best job on the island. their attention to detail is completely unmatched and they always shape my nails gorgeously. i just went today to get them done and when the gel top coat dried the polish looked a bit streaky and discolored. the man who did my nails immediately noticed and buffed the polish off to fix it. i thought the new top coat he fixed it with looked great but he still wasn't happy with how it turned out and refused to charge me for it even after i insisted on paying. i was so touched by how much they cared & how much effort they put in to making sure your nails look perfect. i will be recommending kim's to all of my friends on the island!! 11/10 service!! read more

I have never felt compelled to write a review of a nail salon but this experience was really bad. I picked a gel nail color and one of the workers started openly bad mouthing my color choice and making fun of it. It was really uncomfortable and unnecessary. In the end, it was expensive for a really unpleasant experience and mediocre manicure. There are lots of salons on the island and I would recommend going to any of them before this one. read more

I went back about 3 weeks ago to the Ship Bottom location to have a gel mani before my bridal shower. The staff was different because summer had started and the Surf City location was open. Rose took SUCH great care of me, and its been 3 WEEKS and my gel mani still looks good! Rose did such an awesome job, literally the best mani I have gotten in such a long time. My fiancé loved how they did her gel manicure and regular pedicure. The finish was nice, neat, and straight. While I was waiting for her, I ended up getting my nails trimmed and polished, which was a first time for me. Caught a couple compliments at the wedding on my nails looking tight!
