the price is reasonable and they were responsive to a walk in. with that said, there were nail clippings on the stations that weren't ours, the towels smelled like mildew, and there was gritty/dirt on the counter where you continue to dry your nails. for a place where people are sitting and waiting for customers, they should 100% be using that time cleaning the salon. it was dirty to the point of concern for me and my mom. read more

The man who did my nails was not only rushing, rude, but also left my nails bumpy, uneven, and sharp. It started when I walked into the salon and he told me to " be fast" as I picked out a color. During entire service he was clearly rushing and the product of my nails shows it. The place was dirty, unprofessional, and the man was straight up rude and honestly sucked. Don't go here! To add to it, he pretended to not have change when I asked for singles for a 10 for tip. It's a scam as well! read more

The lady who did my nails for 28 years retired two years ago & I've haven't found anyone half as good until today! I tried many places in center city Philadelphia & in LBI but most places were either disappointing or mediocre. Today I was driving by Expert Nails & decided to stop. May was amazing! If you are on the Island and need your nails filled, this is your best option. It was clean, and you could tell it is reputable amongst locals/frequents by the amount of clients they had walking in that they knew by name. They fulfilled all of our requests of services and design for a family of four. (Rain Day Activity for the win!) The only downfalls are that it is a bit more expensive than nail salons off the island, and my husband got a pedicure and he was cut and bled. I explained to him that it's pretty common as a 1st timer but none the less he whined about it. read more

This place does not know what they're doing. I made the mistake of asking for a chrome gel manicure. I understand if maybe they have not done this before but I don't think I would have gotten a decent manicure either way. It was $20 extra for chrome which I was not told about but fine, however when I left I realized my nails looked horrible. The chrome was not covering the whole nail on nearly every one and the manicurist painted my entire cuticles. I called and went back and they agreed to fix it. The manicurist told me it was my fault it looked bad because I kept my hand in the light too long. Um if that's the case tell me! I don't know how to do nails that's why I came to the salon! Either way, I still thought my nails looked terrible and another manicurist stepped in to fix them for a third time. At this point I have 16 layers of gel polish on and they look trash. I was getting them done for a wedding so I didn't even have time to go elsewhere to do it again. The staff also seemed confused as to what I didn't like about them. The owner I think it was the owner didn't apologize or anything but she made us pay for what we didn't even ask for. And she's on her phone the whole entire time screaming. I tried this place twice thinking I just did not have a great experience the first round. Had a regular ped again and literally I was in there for about 25 minutes. One of the fastest peds I've ever had! Massage was do a rub over for seconds. 40+ dollars later I was stunned. Up north in Bergen county I can get a spa pedicure for the same price and massage lasts for 15min. They need to change the way they do things especially if you want to charge 40 bucks! read more

was "okay" I choose this nail salon by the fact it had 4.6 stars, so I was excited for a great pedicure! The pedicure was a "cooling" pedicure for $42 which I felt was on the high side, but obviously, by the description of the pedicure it was going to be more than a "general" pedicure. "Enjoy a hydro-jet salt soak while your nails are trimmed and filed, cuticles will be softened and cleaned. A quick treatment to calluses will be performed followed by a massage for maximum relaxation." I was wrong!!! My technician truly gave a general quick type of pedicure! I was brought to the drying station, which my technician didn't check if it was turned on and walked away. I didn't see how to turn it on myself and had to asked another worker, to turn it on. Meanwhile, my friend was still in the chair enjoying her pedi! When she finally came over to the drying station she asked me what I thought of the "cooling stuff" Puzzled, I asked what cooling stuff? Needless to say she got a cooling gel on her legs that as per her, felt amazing! When checking out to pay, I asked the girl at the desk was there a basic pedi vs a cooling pedi? I was told no that is our regular, I explained I didn't get the cooling part, and she had no clue what I was referring too ‍ So, for $42 I got a quick basic pedicure, that was "okay" at best, no massage, no cooling, just basic! My friend who was with a different technician, received the cooling and a massage by Kiu, I didn't ask my persons name, but it was one of the men that work there.
