The whole team is amazing! Brittney opened the salon on a Sunday just for myself & my bridal party. I live in California so I wasn't able to have a trail completed, but it wasn't necessary. I was so happy with my bridal hair that was done by Brittney at 8 in the morning. The style lasted all day & night and it was exactly what I wanted. She did my daughters hair also which couldn't be cuter! She nailed it perfectly, just by seeing photos of what I wanted. My airbrush makeup was done here also and I was very happy with it. I came here this past weekend to get my makeup done for a wedding. Everyone in this salon was exceptionally friendly. They were accommodating and even squeezed me in for a blow out in addition to my makeup appt with Kelly, who I literally CANNOT say enough positive things about. I had a mediocre pedicure. The whole process only took about 25 min - probably because the person who did it skipped a lot of steps. Nothing done with calluses (mine aren't too bad, but some type of exfoliation would be nice), nothing with cuticles and no base coat before polish. The polish didn't even cover the whole nail. She had really long, decorated nails and I don't think she has figured out how to do a good pedicure with her own manicure situation. It was really more like a polish change than a $35 pedicure. Still searching for a good option on LBI. From the reviews, it seems like this salon is more of a hair place than a nail place. read more

If there was a zero rating, I would have chosen. Gel manicure peeled off in days. I gave another try. French manicure looked like a child did it! I had it removed right there and she left the remover on so long that my nails gave white spots and lines. Staff didn't care. Horrible. Brittany, I'm sorry but I was in your salon for an hour and 20 minutes. That included 20 minutes of wait time and a pedi. The gel was so bad, That I asked for it to be removed. When I went to pay at 5:20 and I explained what happened, you said it was closing time. Other ladies have said your services are poor. I only wrote the review to help you. We came in from out of town for my niece's wedding and I wanted to get an updo for this special occasion. Made an appointment with Taylor, based on Yelp reviews and photographs from the salon's website. It's always a crap shoot going to a new stylist, particularly before an important occasion. I was super pleased with Taylor's talent and artistry, particularly having to secure my fine, thin hair to withstand the incredible wind. Loved the hair and received many compliments! What a relief knowing I didn't have to return to the hotel to fix what I just paid for. This review is specific to Taylor's skills, hence the 5 stars, however, this salon seems to be following the trend to disallow tips on the credit card. Who carries cash any more?! It's a cashless world. The trend should be digital payments with tip options. This feels so archaic! While I'm disappointed with this trend and won't carry cash because businesses want to avoid credit card fees, Lavish Salon is clean, upscale and most of the stylists looked professional, particularly Taylor. As an aside, my husband filled in as doorman for the salon for an hour. The wind kept blowing the door open, so he locked, unlocked, opened the door and greeted their customers for an hour. They were appreciative, but hey, where's the discount for the special services provided?! I'd highly recommend Taylor for updos and hair artistry. If I lived nearby, I'd definitely make an appointment with her to highlight my hair. She was personable, skilled and interested in my input and feedback throughout the process. I went to Lavish for a cut and balayage this past weekend. Taylor is amazing and I will now be regular at this salon. Her attention to detail with everything was much appreciated and you could tell in the results. She made my hair look better than the image I had in my head of what I wanted/expected it to look like. She also did an amazing job with the blow out at the end, I've never had my hair so smooth before and it lasted. I highly recommend this salon and especially Taylor. The salon was very clean and recently remodeled, very modern. They have a full service nail salon as well, which is also very clean. Her follow-up call telling me THAT I WAS LATE was snotty, telling me she was in the back mixing colors and it wasn't her job to answer the phone, moreover she couldn't accommodate me today and we'd have to reschedule for another day. I brought my mother here for hair wash and blow dry. Everyone working at this salon could not have been nicer or more helpful. My mother recently had a hip replacement so she is finding it difficult to get around. They helped her in and back out into the car in the pouring rain.
