BEST NAIL SALON ON LBI! If you are looking to get your nails done on the island, I couldn't recommend this place more. Everyone working is unbelievably kind and generous! Deja Vu Nails - My favorite nail salon on LBI!!! Everyone is so sweet and so productive. Very affordable and high quality. - Nail Salons Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

Honestly, my experience was very disappointing. I originally went in for an acrylic set, but I felt pressured into adding a pedicure--even though I wasn't comfortable with it and didn't feel like I could say no. While doing my nails, the owner was on the phone the entire time, which felt unprofessional and added to the rushed service. She used a metal tool on my cuticles so roughly that it was painful, and the gel was applied way too thick. The final result looked terrible. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

It's simply convenient to come to when in LBI so that's really the only good thing I can truthfully share. The people are super unfriendly everytime I have come here. Never a 'hello' or 'welcome back', (have been coming here on and off for the past three summers) Last gel manicure I got here, they didn't put the finishing coat on all nails so about 4 of my 10 nails had that gummy finish. I feel rushed all the time even though there's not people waiting. Oh well, need to get my paws and claws done prior to vacation next time. read more

This place is not worth ur money!!!! I went in and no one was in the salon i got dip with tip on my fingers and not only did she cut them way to short so layed the dip powder on super thick. I was hoping it would get better but no while filling down the harden dip she cut my cuticles and 3 days later they are still raw. When she was done there was dip powder all over my fingers. Not to mention i asked for almond and i got round. She told me to wash my hands and she was done no message, lotion, or even a warm towel the place was disgusting and dirty don't waste ur time or money on this place please!! There is nothing good to say about this place i really wish there was. If i could give it zero stars i would!!!!! read more

Don't bother making an appointment- complete joke. Twice I've been here and sat for 15 minutes. Then escorted to a chair- was told pick out a color! Then proceeded to wait another 20 mins. Owner is pushy, rude and is only out for your $$$ Plenty of cleaner, more professional salons on the island. read more

Would definitely go back here! Mary was so awesome and gave the greatest massage. Such a nice relaxing afternoon. Thanks again! read more

Deja Vu Nails - Yellow for summer! - Nail Salons Near Me - Ship Bottom, New Jersey

This place is totally unsanitary. My mom, sister-in-law and I came in for pedicures today and when trimming my sister in law's toe nails they cut her and she was bleeding into the foot basin. They did nothing to clean out the basin after she bled into it before the next person and there are no plastic liners inside. As we went to leave they also asked for my foam toe dividers back because they reuse them. GAG. And in addition to this we made an appointment which turned out to be completely useless since we got there on time and it was packed. We had to wait close to 40 minutes. The nail polish my mom picked out was so old and gooey they told her she had to pick a new one. This was after sorting through all the other paint colors that wouldn't even mix when you shook them they were so old. Terrible experience would rather just do my nails at home! read more

I have been here many times and the owner Mary has always been friendly. Service is mediocre but when we are here on weekends we come for a quick pedi. I went in today with my 4 year old daughter, whom was very excited to also get a mani and pedi. The technician sitting at chair 3 was not happy that my daughter was with me. They sat me at chair 4 as it was busy and I was just soaking my feet. They didn't give my daughter the empty chair 5 so she just stood next to my chair. The technician grunted at my daughter and said No and moved my daughters hands off of my feet as she was just touching my feet. Let me say no one was working on me and she stopped working on her person to do that. The woman at chair 3 complained to Mary about her service. Then this technician who I presume was annoyed at her customer stood up grabbed my 4 year old and slammed her in a chair!! And said shhhh!! I was appalled and shocked as my daughter was talking to me and not doing anything to disturb anyone!! I obviously told her it was unacceptably and got out of the water. The other customers were in shock and told me she didn't understand anything I said so I spoke directly to the owner Mary. Nothing was done and we walked out. I didn't call the police to press charges for battery on a minor as my daughter was pretty shaken up. But I truly am disgusted! If there were Negative stars I would rate this below 0! And they were incredibly lucky I maintained my composure. I did not call the police or assault her myself!!! read more

Worst acrylic manicure ever!!!First off they let people skip ahead of me and my friend even tho we were there first so we waited an hour before they started doing our nails.Second my nails look awful. They are all crooked and uneven,my nails aren't even fully painted and they messed up my cuticles. They even messed up my friends basic pedicure and manicure. All the pictures of the pretty nails on here are all pictures from google posted by the owner,I know this because I've seen some of those pictures on Pinterest lmao.Third of all the staff was very rude and unpleasant.Fourth of all its way to expensive for what it is, it was 45$ for regular acrylic nails. Will definitely be going back here. Please if you want nice nails don't go here! read more

I love going there they treat you with such care really make you feel like you're a princess ! The nail salon is super clean and friendly

Nope. Call at 1 for an "appointment" at 4 but she doesn't take our name... so I guess a timed walk in. I come in at 4, place looks a little jenky. But it's the Jersey shore, I'll give them a chance. Immediately I'm pointed to the color wall. The labels are faded, no care is taken to keep the place physically attractive. So I sit, and I sit and I sit. For 1 whole hour. So much for my "appointment". Please don't take more business than you can handle (bear in mind this is the 3rd of July so lots of people want to look good). After an hour I am escorted to "chair number five and six please". This review would be good had the nails been good. I simply do not care that none of the attendance spoke a word of English not even hot cold short and long. But every single one of my nails is a different length, every cuticle is cut differently, and the nail polish simply looks like I did it myself. Actually I would've done this better especially for $45..... trust this review do not go here or you will be tempted to correct her as she's doing her nails, but even if you did she would just smile at you. Attached are pictures of this tragedy. Also she cut my nails down so I look like a child read more

I will make this simple. Not only was I left soaking my feet for 30 minutes ( literally) while the salon was empty but for two people being waited on ( I had an appt), but when I went in for an eyebrow wax after, I was given a lip wax as well. All so fast. Never had one, didn't want one, my lip was red and swollen and when I looked in mirror, my one eyebrow was terribly uneven . Not going back. This is second day and still can't get over it. This is off season and things are quiet on the island. There are other establishments you can visit here for grooming. read more

I will never go back. My first experience there was fine, except the woman that did my nails decided what she wanted to do on my nails (ombre) which ended up being fine, but thats not what i asked for. I cam back 3 weeks later for dip (which is what i normally get) where she proceeded to give me a FILL? and left my ombre on, and painted on top of it with a gel polish which was completely different than the color i asked for. A week later and they look like this. So disappointed. My mom's nails are even worse. She had hot pink and the nail tech painted right over the hot pink with blue so you can see the pink underneath. Not to mention we spent $150 PLUS TIPS!!! Not worth it for that price. People are nice but horrible service. Do not go here it is such a waste of money and i am horrified at my nails read more

Worst mani/pedi of my life. I only stumbled upon this place when another salon was closed so unfortunately did not see all the other negative reviews. Believe them all and don't go here. I easily could have done a better job myself. Uneven paint, crooked nails, chipped in a day and way too expensive. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I went in there for just A fill. So I sat down and I had rounded nails so I asked for a squared so she took all the nails off on hand and put a new set. But didn't take the nails off the other hand. So then she proceeded to layer and layer acrylic on top of the rounded nails and tried to make them squared. So one hand looks squared and one of them looks Like someone tried to make them squared. My nails are all different lengths and shapes. Also when she was doing the polish I was assuming she do it until you can't see through the polish anymore but the polish is splotchy those lines in it and you could see right through it and the nails overall just look crappy. They look better in the picture than they do in person but in person you could see the spots with almost no polish. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS . . . I came in to get a manicure and the older gentleman that works there made me bleed MULTIPLE times. He was so harsh on my hands that 3 of my fingers were literally bleeding after I told him repeatedly to not be so harsh. Kim's Nails is 4 blocks away, go there not here!!! read more

worst leg waxing! Went there today for a full leg waxing after I called them and asked if its one of their services. I got there and they didnt have the right tools (she just had that stick thing to remove facial hair) but she didnt care about that and still did it, and thats why it took a long time. and then she didnt even remove all my hair. now after I paid her to do it, I gotta sit at home and have to fix it and do it by myself.... I wish I could get my money back! read more

Do not waste your money!!! Horrible mani pedi and not cheap!! Could have done a better job myself!!!

For being in such a busy location I'm surprised how well they do with keeping wait times so low. The only reason for not a 5 star is bc I feel like they can be cleaner. There are parts of the floor that need to be mopped more than once a week. Everyone is very friendly, efficient and does a good job. I don't prefer one person over the next, like I usually do at nail salons. The price is very reasonable for Lbi. It's a standard NJ nail spot- this is not a spa by any means. They are great for a quick mani pedi before the beach. read more

I came here with my sister in law and two tiny nieces, and everybody was very happy with their results. The ladies at the salon were awesome with the kids, and made their nails extra special with little embellishments. I would definitely recommend! read more

Have to admit, stopped in here after a massage across the street and didn't read the reviews prior. Glad I didn't, because I thought they did a fine job on my pedicure. All instruments were opened fresh from packages, as were the toe spacers. My technician was meticulous in filing my nails, dealing with my cuticles, and painting them. They really tamed my callouses and my feet looked great even before painting. Haven't been to any other nail salon down in LBI but I would definitely come here again. read more

Been twice since first visit and today will be last. Went I with a picture of a SIMPLE French tip with color tips and couldn't do. Showed four more pics of SIMPLE French tip designs but they didn't carry any newer colors. Was extremely pushed to do gel polish, but finally said a stiff no and went for regular French. The guy was nice (never introduced himself) but applied paint three-four times. White paint was so thick! Worst part was there is NOTHING was sterilized. Watched just grab utensils out of basket & heard lady ask about pedicure cleanliness - she never got an answer! One good thing - price was $20 read more

I have been going here several times for a refill and pedicure. Everyone does a great job! Walk ins and those with apps were all welcomed. Absolutely disgusting. I am a 20 year old woman who has had their fair share of pedicures in life but also is not very nit picky on the cleanliness of the salons, etc. I have been here a few times and really didn't mind it, it was good enough for what I needed in a pinch. I got a pedicure and gel manicure this time as usual and the tools they used were not taken out of a sterilizer. Usually I am ok with this as I said I assume it is already cleaned. The woman wiped off the old cuticle from whomever she used this tool on last and then continued to use it on my toes. She then caused me to bleed and now I have this terrible infection. I urge you to please not go here!! They do not sterilize their products at all. I am very disappointedly read more

DO NOT GO HERE! They are thieves. I came with my friend to get our nails done. She could not find her phone, she knew she brought it in. She checked her car. She used find her iPhone and used the tracking noice. She then found it hidden in her nail technicians purse. She claimed she thought it was her phone when my friends has a very identifiable case. They stole it from her in plain sight. So shady, police will be getting involved. Wonder what else they've stolen from people. read more

doesn't even deserve a star to be honest. called ahead and made an appointment and when i showed up they said they couldn't take me and i would have to wait at least two hours which is absolutely ridiculous. never going there ever again. read more

Unlike all of these reviews I had a good experience. I called first to ask if I needed to make an appointment or just walk in, and they told me that I could come in right now and right as I got there, I did not have to wait at all. When I was in there, in the pedicure chair next to me the lady thought in all of her equipment so she didn't have to share (pandemic times woo) and the nail lady accommodated her needs. My manicure and pedicure is lovely. I even saw them take a lot of safety and cleaning procedures so I knew I was safe. I loved my experience there, I would definitely go back! read more

I took my daughter and her friend here today to get a quick manicure and thankfully they were available. However, I'm beginning to understand why. It is the worst manicure I've ever seen done at a professional salon. My daughter's nails are completely peeling a mere 2 hours later. The manicurist didn't even put a base coat on her nails and the nails themselves are incredibly sloppy. Don't waste your money. read more

Wonderful service! Mary is terrific. This is now my go to place for my mani/pedi! Reasonable prices.

Don't listen to bad reviews!! I go here a couple times a month and no where else! They do the best gel manicure, it actually lasts!! Their spa pedicure is the best around! They actually take their time to massage and groom thouroughly instead of rushing you out the door like most places. I have been to 8 of the other local salons and Deja Vu Nails is by far the best. Sometimes you have the wait, but it is well worth it for the service!! You won't be disappointed! read more

Worst Nail Salon. Unsanitary. They reuse there gloves. The Pedicure was torture. Digging under my toes. My feet were rough when I left that night I found a cut under my toe. The polish looked like a child did it. I went back to complain the next day. The owner was pretending to not speak English. She was better at that the day before. It took 2 hours for a pedicure soaking in cold water. My toes are throbbing the next day. The jet kept falling in the tub and they couldn't fix it. They should be closed down!! read more

Went here before I left for vacation, I wanted my natural nail to be extended, but I still wanted to keep them short. I asked for French, apparently that means pink and whites. Fine, no big deal...long story short the white part of the French was at all different heights, my nails kind of fanned out from the cuticle, and the nails themselves were not all the same length. Received a pedicure from a different woman, and she literally butchered my feet. My big toes were cut crookedly, the paint job was awful. I actually asked to have my pink and white nails removed before I left, I felt bad but there was NO WAY I could walk around with them on my hands. read more
