Solid option if you're not too fussy on your hair. I came on a Fri right at open around 10 and someone didn't come to open up the shop till 10:15. The shop is pretty basic. I went in for a haircut and they don't wash your hair at all. They just do a dry cut and do some spray throughout the cut if needed. She asked me what style I wanted and I was able to show a few pics. 30 min later walked out with a new haircut. The cut was only $20! Which is unheard of today. Tip well :) read more

I came in today (Friday) around 1 pm and there wasn't any wait! The owner asked me what I was looking for, and I told her I wanted a medium length haircut with face framing layers. I also shared a photo with her. She cut my hair quickly and it came out very cute! She even took the time to show me how to style it with a round brush and blow dryer. She did an excellent job cutting my hair and giving me a fade. Don't let the location fool you, When I was there waiting she was doing really modern styles and cuts. Guys there had tight fades and peso pluma style cuts. She also was hooking everyone up with perms since curls are in. It's really hard to find someone who can cut curly hair and she knocks it out of the park and it's really affordable. She should be charging more like modern barbershops for the quality. read more

Kim returned my call to set up my appointment, which was within the hour of the day I called. I got there 10 minutes earlier than my appointment and she was finishing cutting a man's hair. His haircut looked good. This was my first time to try Kim. I showed her the pixie-cut photo of what I was looking for. We talked about the details I wanted, and she did her best, which was a great haircut for me! I will definitely go back to her in the future. I hate to be that person and leave a bad review but this was terrible. I am not one to leave reveries let alone bad ones but here was my experience. I came in for a haircut the lady was pretty nice who did my hair but didn't do what i asked for. I just wanted my ends trimmed for a regular manteca cut. I ended up getting a completely jagged cut in the back. It was empty inside and i left feeling scared of what even happened. Looking at the back of my hair i felt like i was in one of those movies when someone gets a terrible haircut by their inexperienced friend. It said all women's hair cuts for $17-$18 i don't remember. I guess you get what you pay for. The lady was nice but I will NEVER go back. I had to go the super cuts to get my hair fixed. read more

As I recall, Kim gave me a haircut the first time I visited, and she did a good job, particularly for the price paid. I continued to come in once a month, and at some point the gentleman who works there started cutting my hair exclusively. I'm just not sure he knows what he is doing. I began to fear going because he would inevitably nip my right ear with his clippers, and after I would flinch, he would then press the clippers to his own hand to show that it couldn't possibly have nipped me. I guess I trust my own nerve endings more than his display. This happened at least 3 times in my memory, and I guess I'm just thankful that he never drew blood, but it appears that he actually did draw blood from a young boy as described in a different review. He definitely doesn't rush, but again, I'm just skeptical of his training. He would introduce new "techniques" each time I saw him, such as breaking out a men's electric razor for the back of my neck, which was a first for me at a barber shop. He also has a strange fascination with trimming non-existent hair on my ear lobes, something I've never experienced anywhere else, and I was born in the 1960's. He would also use his clippers to trim my hairline in front, which only left me with a little bit of stubble. Again, a first, but not something I welcome. All in all, I just decided that trying to save a few bucks on my monthly haircut wasn't worth the anxiety of getting nipped on the ear and stubble across the top of my forehead, but call me crazy. read more

Went into Kim's for a cut and highlight and then returned a few weeks later for a regular trim and skin fade. Kim does an amazing job everytime. I like to get a high skin fade but have a bald spot that I need covered and most barbers refuse to cut my hair anywhere near there. Kim does a high skin fade and manages to cover the spot. Her pricing is EXTREMELY reasonable and you get an amazing service with it. I have only dealt with Kim and not the other gentleman there, but Kim is a very good barber. read more

What a horrible experience. Warning - The sign says they cut kids' hair, but never take your kids there! The haircutter was very rude. She gave my 9-year-old son a haircut. He had never had a problem with any other barber. She had been using her clippers for hours, and they were very hot. My son told her it hurt, but she didn't listen. She was pushing his head around hard, and seemed to be in a bad mood. To make matters worse, what a terrible haircut! The bangs were cut way too short, and uneven! My hair was not cut the way I had asked. I asked for a trim, layers, thin my hair out, and a center part. I haven't had a hair cut in a year so I could grow my hair out. I wanted to at least keep the length and a 1 inch trim. I didn't know a trim meant cutting 5 inches off the back...I still paid and gave tip and didn't complain in person. My hair isn't terrible, I just didn't realize it was short at the back. I left thinking it was OK but no it's actually shorter than I thought! I said thank you and was appreciative. This is my very first review because the experience here was that bad. Zero stars if I could. I took my son here for a haircut since it was close by, had good reviews, and his usual hair salon didn't have any openings for the next 2 days. It turned out to be a terrible decision and traumatic experience for my son. There is an older lady and man that cuts hair at this business. Warning!!! Don't let the man come near your head. The man has no clue how to cut hair. I think he is the lady's husband and he just randomly zaps with a razor. He doesn't understand how to cut hair with a pair of scissors. The lady and man told me it was not possible to use scissors to get an even cut therefore they must razor. The man cut my son with his razor and made his neckline bloody, about an inch across, and when I confronted him about it he said he didn't do it and told me the razor isn't sharp. He then put the razor on my hand and tried to prove to me that there was no way he could have nicked or cut my son with his stupid razor. I told him he needed to stop using the razor on my son because his neck was bloody. He then took out a pair of scissors and started cutting across my son's forehead. He pressed the scissors across his forehead so hard it made my son cry and left marks on it. By now I was fuming with anger. I looked at the lady and told her she had to finish my son's haircut because the man had cut my child many times and my son was obviously in tears. I have no idea why this place has any good reviews. At the end, the lady tried her best to savage the crazy looking, uneven, super short butchered haircut the man had created. She literally had to redo every inch of it. She knew the man had done wrong. Why was he cutting hair there?!!!?Why does she allow him to cut hair? To make things worse she offered ointment for all the bloody areas and she applied it on before I was even able to see what she had applied on my son. I looked at the tube of ointment after she had applied it and the tube read hydrocortisone. Why the heck would you apply hydrocortisone for all the nicks and cuts? Definitely careless people and not the most intelligent. I had to drive straight home after, clean his nicks and cuts with alcohol and then applied a triple antibiotic ointment. The haircut was nothing like I asked for. Now my son has what my husband calls a bowl haircut. It was a cheap cut, half the price of his usual salon but the cut was not worth paying a penny for. I will never come here ever again and neither should you!!!! read more

The shop takes walk-ins and appointments but only takes cash. Becky was the hairstylist that took care of me today. She listened to what I was wanting and then cut my hair and it turned out great.
