North Point Car Care gave a fair estimate but the selling point for me was that they offered to work on it right away so that I could get ready for my trip. They didn't try to up-sell on any "extra work", but did point out things for me to keep an eye on that may be needed in the future. This was a great help. The owners are so friendly that after the work was done, I hung around because we were too busy talking about cars, custom work, and just having a general conversation. Highly Recommended!

They don't want to diagnose a remanufactured engine from Fraser Engines (he told me that I "should have read the online reviews" yet Fraser has a 4.7 rating with almost 8000 reviews because I DID READ THE REVIEWS!). During the the day of visit, the receptionist called me 1 hour after dropping it off and stated the lift couldn't lift it. After asking several questions as we took it in to be evaluated to see if they could do the job before hand. She then stated something was wrong with their lift and tried to charge me a whole lot more. I asked to speak to a manager and she said no. It is very disheartening that they wanted to charge me addition fees due to their malfunctioning lift.

However, now the door locks do not work. I called this morning to offer them the chance to remedy it, and instead was told that the door lock actuators must have failed (mind you, that would be a completely separate issue/repair). Well, given that the locks worked fine when I dropped the car off yesterday, now after the master switch replacement they suddenly do not work, it's only logical to assume there must be an issue with that new master switch and/or the installation work. They couldn't accommodate me today, and I'm about to start a new job, so I don't have the ability to bring it in later due to their inconvenient strictly M-F hours. I asked if there were any other options, was thinking maybe a discount or partial refund since I am now stuck with needing yet another repair after their work, but no dice. $480 down the drain. Next time I will go to O'Donnell Honda to have truly affordable repairs, done right the first time, and by a shop that stands by their work.

After a thorough assessment, they were honest with me that half the work quoted wasn't actually necessary, and did the required work for half the price while showing me what exactly was problematic and was not. The shop is old school (appointments have to be made via phone) and unassuming, but Tim has 40yrs of experience and his team does quality work. Also walking distance to Towson Town Center, so super convenient to get some errands in whilst work is being done. Highly recommend this garage; it's so hard to find mechanics who are not gimmicky with tempting deals or overpriced, but thorough, fair, and reliable. Customer for life!
