I had numerous military patches sewn on a jacket and the work was extremely professional. The jacket lining had to be opened and reinstalled, once the patches were sewn in place. The jacket looked factory new, after the work was completed. I highly recommend this alterations shop! read more

I've used Kim a number of times since moving to Tallahassee a few years ago. A friend of mine who is a long time Tallahassee resident recommended her to me and gave her high marks. I've not been disappointed. She's done wonderful work on my alterations, everything from lady's suit jackets to dresses and skirts and pants. She's very smart and quick to figure out the best way to handle a fitting issue and the results are always just perfect. Turnaround time is very reasonable, and if she needs a day or two extra, she is conscientious about informing me. The talented seamstress I used in Palm Beach County spoiled me for top service. I've been so happy to find someone equally talented here in Tallahassee. In addition to her sewing skills and professionalism, Kim is a very likeable and pleasant person and has an impeccably organized and attractive shop. read more

I was in town for an event at the Capitol and needed my pants fixed asap. Kim was able to fix my pants within 24 hours and did an amazing job. She was flexible and friendly. I don't live here but if I did, I would visit her business all the time. Thank you Kim! read more

Coast $145 to sew on 4 patches on two vests and patch one pair of jeans. Didn't do the work correctly first time charged another $40 and still did not equally align the same patches. read more

The worst service I have ever entered gently. This woman hides beyond a locked door and will not give me an inseam measurement even when I hold the tape at her most indelicate place. She prefers measuring the outseam which is not as accurate. She is the first person who has never measured my pants when I have them on. That will not result in an accurate result. Moreover, she wants all cash up front. When I asked her if the results were unsatisfactory, she refused any compensation. This woman needs a rededucation or a ticket back to the Orient. She has no business dealing with people who do this routinely. read more

Kim has been helping transform my wardrobe for the past two years. She has altered, literally, hundreds of items for me. Most people do not realize that tailoring is an art. I'm sure they also do not understand fair pricing for advanced skills such as hers. She is honest and will tell you if something cannot or should not be tailored. I have to have everything hemmed but she's also completely remade dresses for me. If you want the best, this is the place! I wish more brides would leave reviews here. I've seen the magic she performs with gowns. read more

Always does a perfect job every time. She has natural intuition that transends mere words. Very experienced and understands what I want. Guaranteed best in Tallahassee. read more

I've been going to Kim's for years. I moved briefly and came back right before my wedding. I went in to get my wedding dress altered 3 weeks prior to my wedding- in a panic. She had my wedding dress as well as my rehearsal dress done in a week. And as always, they fit absolutely perfect- to a T. I would recommend her all day to anyone. Especially if you're petite. I truly cannot say enough great things. read more

I took a motorcycle vest in to have two patches sewn on it. The picture of the placement and the measurements were explained. Charge was $50. When my wife went to pick it up she sent me a picture cause it wasn't even close to the directions given. The lady says what can I do. Had her put it where it was supposed to be and she charged another $40. to fix it. Now it's where it belongs but it's not centered. Had enough of this place. Guess that's the best she can do. Won't be going back. read more

Kind of disappointed, she turned me away without me even trying my scrubs on. She said she could "tell".

Since I am a short, stout person, any pants I get need hemming...even most "petite" sizes. I took a pair of jeans in with instructions that they needed to be hemmed 3-1/2 inches. I asked that they be ready for this morning. They were not done when I went it to get them this morning but Kim hemmed them while I was waiting, did an excellent job, and I will be taking all my alterations to her in the future as long as the work continues to be of this quality. read more

This is well worth the cost! Kim is so kind and made my dress fit so well. Love this place

Kim is absolutely amazing. I've been coming here for years to have suits altered to fit. Kim has a very keen eye, and she is willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything looks perfect. She's had me come back three times on a single suit just to make sure that she adjusted everything perfectly. Now, the suit looks impeccable, and I'd trust her with anything I own. Her timing is incredibly fast, and her handiwork is beyond reproach. I've given her suit jackets to alter, and she's had them done within a day. Kim is also a very sweet and kind lady, and she's a true treat to interact with. read more

Kim is not professional at all. I went for my dress to be hemmed. She placed the marks with chalk. After I decided that I was not going to do it there she decided to remove the marks but what she did to remove the marks was that she used an iron and she burned my dress. Now my dress is burned because of her. Never take anything there. Also she is more expensive than other places here in Tallahassee. read more

I've had a ton of stuff fixed, altered or adjusted by Kim and she's amazing. The only tailor in Tallahassee I'd trust to work on my designer pieces. She does incredible work and she does it in a timely manner for reasonable prices. read more

I take clothing to Kim's regularly for the past three years and have never had a problem with the quality of her work or the fairness of her prices when compared to other alteration shops in Tallahassee. She is always concerned the piece looks it's best, makes me look my best and doesn't take short cuts. In addition she get's the work done quickly and always meets my very demanding time schedule. I have recommended her to friends and they are always impressed with her work, timeliness and prices. read more

I brought 4 large pieces of fabric in to Kim. I asked if she could hem the fabric and make 10 button holes in each, so that I can use the fabric as 4 curtains. She said I had a choice of using silver grommets which would be faster or she can make button holes and they would be ready in a week. She never mentioned how much each method would cost. I thought button holes would look better, so she agreed to make button holes. She never discussed the price, but I figured it would be about 15 to 25 per panel. A week and a day later, I called and Kim said that the curtains were not done. She told me that she had hemmed the fabric but that the button holes were taking too much time. I was baffled as most sewing machines have "button holers", which make the button holes by machine and then the seamstress makes a cut in the middle of the hole, She told me that she had decided to sew the button holes by hand. She told me that she had to charge me $50 per curtain for button holing PLUS $$15 per curtain for hemming. I told her to stop at the two she had done and I paid her $130.00 for two curtains and left with the others. She had poked holes in others but not sewn any button holes. Additionally both pieces of fabric had chalk marks and other holes that were not in the fabric originally. I made a HUGE mistake by not asking her how much she would charge me. I was really disappointed in both the way she does business and in the quality of the work. Her hand made button holes were not sturdy or reinforced. When I suggested that she should have told me that the cutains would be $65.00 each for hemming and button holes, she said she was too busy to talk to me about the price at the time (I was the only person there at that time) I will NEVER go back to her for anything. read more
