He immediately looked in my ear canal and removed some dead skin from my left ear canal. It's a small practice and they break things down into multiple appointments that maybe a larger practice would do in one, but this is better for me because it keeps visits short and sweet. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, which I also appreciate. The only issue is her nurse who can get a little on the nasty side, per my own experience with her and accounts from other patients.

Dr. Butler is very personable, very helpful (as a new patient I had many questions about equipment, as Columbia Fertility Associates routinely conducts sonograms for all well woman visits, something I hadn't encountered in the past), and put me at ease quickly. The office is clean and the front desk woman that helped me was very nice and that always should be commended. My wait wasn't too long (I also had an 8:30am appt. so that could be the reason). Once I was taken in, I met the doctor in his office (a first for me). We spoke about any concerns I had and there he was a bit removed kind of like I'm talking but he's just waiting for me to finish. I mean it wasn't terrible, I didn't feel uncomfortable just different from my regular lady doctor that I had been so used to and comfortable with. After we spoke I was taken in an exam room, instructed to disrobe and was told the doctor would be in shortly. He was, he kind of came in like a force. He did the exam, he seems to be a get in and get out kind of guy - he doesn't spend too much time in the room with you which whatever your preference could be ideal for you. He told me he'd call me with the results and if there were any concerns I'd come back in. He called me the end of that week - all was clear. All in all, I got what I needed to get. He is a nice guy from what I experienced maybe he just isn't for the woman that might need a little more attention and a more loving womanly doctor. Hope this helps!

A second opinion from her would at least help me understand this issue and how to deal with it. After reviewing my records, Dr Lee patiently listened to me, made a diagnosis, explained her findings and left me with some possible things I could do to lessen the noise. She mis-diagnosed me and then said she wanted me to have a CT scan done a WHOLE month later after putting me on more steroids which I told her I had already been on steroids for the last 2 months and I didn't feel comfortable to continue taking it especially when it's not helping me! She proceeded ANYWAYS. My eyes and face was so swollen and she was very dismissive. I went to another ENT based out of "Georgetown University Hospital" and he immediately saw there was a problem and ordered me an immediate CT Scan and a PET Scan. He performed amazing surgery just last week which took 6 hours and I'm blessed to have Dr. Spielman in my life and as my doctor. I recommend that NO ONE goes to Dr. Patty Lee. She is RUDE, DISMISSIVE and doesn't listen.
