This office, especially, gives all of their patients proper attention and provides experts to really diagnose and help your condition.

Lack of integrity I…read morehave always felt very positive about this practice - until today. There has been confusion about getting a prescription re-filled. Of course, it is not possible to reach them directly - you have to go through Optum, which requires all of your identifying information. I explained the problem with the refill, and Optum was able to contact the practice and i was told I would be getting a call back. I never got a call. I called Optum again and was told the prescription had been filled. I called my pharmacy and was informed it had not been approved. I called Optum again this afternoon and with a considerable wait, was connected with an MA at the office. She informed me she would speak with Dr. Sorenson and call me back. Once again, I did not get a call. I have been flagrantly misled at least 3 times today. Simply stated, this shows a serious lack of professional integrity.

I mean wow they are great with kids! Everyone that we dealt with- and I've been in twice now and my husband is also been in once with our son- from the front desk to all of the assistance to the pediatrician has been kind and taken a lot of time to talk to my very talkative four-year-old as well as to help us make sure that both he and our newborn are healthy. I really appreciate the level of care that we have gotten so far there. I haven't been in yet for myself, but probably will be in for a check up here soon, but can definitely recommend it if you have kids.

Unfortunately, I made the choice of going to Belmar Family Medical since they could get me in quickly. I would never recommend that office. Back to Dr. Atkins. From the moment she walked in the door we both literally thought we had met each other somewhere before. She was great! Very personable, happy and talkative, unlike the experience at Belmar. She asked a lot of questions about the accident and how I was feeling. She actually seemed like she wanted to know and really cared about my pain and the anxiety I now have when driving. She discussed our plan of action on getting some physical therapy done to help with my recovery. When I left her office almost an hour later I was so happy to have found a doctor in Colorado that I felt comfortable with! I was so excited that before I started the car I had to call my daughter to tell her. I sat there for probably 10 minutes just gushing over how excited I was and told my daughter that I would now be bringing her there as well because she's getting too old to see her Pediatrician anymore (she's 17!). Linda in the office was also fun and a pleasure to have met. She did my weight/height and vitals. The whole experience was just super great!! :)

My experience with…read morethe administrative side of this office, however, has involved repeated and severe failures that directly affected and delated my medically necessary treatment. Over time I encountered ongoing problems with scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups. Calls and messages were not returned, even by management. I was hung up on. I was told referrals or authorizations were being handled when they were not, which resulted in a necessary appointment being scheduled late, BY WEEKS. I made multiple attempts to resolve these issues, including reaching out to the manager, Paulette, and to Michelle Pace, but did not receive responses. After repeated attempts to work through these problems, I ultimately transferred my care elsewhere. This review reflects the administrative experience only, not Dr. Nielsen's care, which I appreciated.
