Telinga's Mexican Restaurant - Steak fajita. Chopped tiny.

The staff was great at Telinga's. Top notch service!…read more They are pet friendly. Being used to many place having to eat on the patio, I started out on theirs. It started to pour down rain 5 minutes into my meal, the staff let my pup and I eat at a quiet table in the back of the restaurant. I was so thankful to be able to have a good meal and not have to keep my pup in the car. The food was yummy. I ordered the steak and shrimp with horchata. I also had the brownie for dessert. It was good but a bit sugary. The steak and horchata were perfect though! Just what I needed after a long day on the road.

My husband says the best ability is availability and that holds true with this place. He also says…read moreI am a Mexican food snob as I grew up in San Diego and it's a whole burrito culture. If you know you know. This place is okay. Good rice. Right around Albuquerque, New Mexico you hit the Tex-Mex wall and people start doing weird stuff with white cheeses. The queso modified cheese food product flows freely. Disappointed that the veggies in my veggie burrito were frozen from a bag and the beans had that Smokey meat taste which is also a Tex-Mex wonder. Ugh, ya'll eat bbq too much. So, it is my fault that I ordered a random thing in a rural part of Arkansas. But honestly, where is the salsa at? Maybe it's time to keep your cheese drizzle and try a little fresh salsa drizzle. You might like it. Luckily we travel with salsa on us. Cause we're flippin weirdos okay, and again, it's burrito culture. The other thing I will say, is maybe there was some kind of plumbing issue but the whole restaurant smelled like urine. Like a dirty bathroom floor. And I know that's not how tex mex cheese is supposed to smell... so.. do with that what you will.

Hard to find as didn't realize it's under the Arlington hotel…read more The mocha one was best. Real good coffee flavor. The banana pudding was good. The biscof butter was too much and threw it away. The lemon was good and tart like an icebox. The dreamsicle was not close enough to real thing. Waffle cone was good but fragile. Still nice to grab a cone and walk up to lobby to listen to music.

A nice front desk employee at The Arlington showed us the beautiful staircase leading down. When we got there, I honestly thought it was closed because of the low lighting and how unclean it was. A friendly young female employee quickly greeted us, only to inform us they didn't have this, didn't have that. It sure didn't seem like it was because there was such a crowd because we were the only humans present! This place boasts "the only homemade ice cream on bath house row." I sampled the Black Walnut and was not impressed. My root beer float ($7) was fine. My oldest daughter didn't really care for her Coke float ($7). I guess it's because she had her heart set on Dr. Pepper that they didn't have. My youngest had a single cup ($5) of Birthday Cake. She enjoyed it. I'd probably go elsewhere for ice cream in Hot Springs, AR, next time. RATING BREAKDOWN Ice Cream: 3 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 2
