I started feeling like my concerns weren't being heard, and communication became more difficult. A newer dentist prescribed the wrong medication for me multiple times, and unfortunately I became sick. There was no follow-up or apology, and I had to come into the office myself to get the corrected prescription. I also sometimes felt uncomfortable speaking up about issues with my partial and there were a couple of visits where procedures were handled by staff still learning, which added a lot of time and uncertainty. I do want to acknowledge the talent and kindness that still exists here, but I no longer felt fully cared for. I've now moved on to a dentist where I feel listened to and supported.

My mouth is small, I was opening as wide as possible, and she kept saying "Open wide!" and shoving the bite block further into my mouth. Dr O'Connor lost patience and started really yanking, pulling and cranking on my teeth. Afterwards, for months, my mouth hurt, my jaw was clamping down and I was grinding my teeth at night. With gentle treatment for TMJD it finally resolved. When I went back to get my teeth cleaned several months later, it was still hurting. The hygienist suggested talking to the dentist about it. When I did, Dr O'Connor kicked me out of the practice (via email from her office manager) and kicked out my teenager from the practice before even meeting them. They also use those "aromatherapy" diffusers so if you are allergic to fragrances you should go somewhere else.
