Kim Kocht is an oasis in a proverbial desert of Vienna's Asian or Asian inspired restaurants. Located on the 2nd floor of Merkur grocery store on Hocher Markt square in Vienna's 1st district, Kim Kocht is definitely one of the top Asian inspired restaurants in town.
The restaurant features a mishmash of Asian cuisines - from sushi, to Korean, Thai and Chinese inspired dishes. Although any such concoction is usually not really inspiring or promising for that matter, Kim Kocht does it right and it is a breath of fresh air that this city desperately needs.
The food that I had was very good - dim sum, stuffed with beef, is home made and it melts in your mouth. It comes with a side of peanut sauce that makes the whole dish even more flavorful and a small salad that was fresh and perfectly complemented the dish.
Glass noodles with meatballs dish was excellent - the noodle sauce had a little kick to it that made it great, it was saucy and juicy and the meatballs were cooked to perfection!
The entire menu at Kim's is perfectly balanced. Only several dishes in each section which ensures the best possible execution and always fresh ingredients. I look forward to going back! read more
