It was a typical Irish pub feel and upstairs. they had a spirit tasting room which the little gal was very nice and polite. she knew her Irish whiskeys so we bought a bottle. we went back downstairs. Ordered the fish and chips and my daughter had their nachos. The fish and chips was pretty good not the best I've ever had, but not the worst. my daughter's nachos would have been good, but the chips were very stale. I will say the service was excellent and the beer very tasty. I would go back again and maybe just have the chicken wings and beer.

After making several attempts to find an outdoor table at one of the bars in Galway City Centre…read morewhen the pandemic restrictions were still in place, we discovered PJ Flaherty, located down the shoreline in Lower Salthill. The pub is certainly a local hangout for those who live in the area and don't want to tread over to the downtown area in Galway, but it's a fun and boisterous beer garden and bar that we enjoyed immensely. With most of the pubs in Galway City Centre being at maximum capacity outside with long waits for a table, we made our way out of town to discover this spot that had all the elements of a backyard party. We enjoyed a table just under an outdoor heater, knocking back pints and some pours of Jameson. Our time there was a fun one without a doubt and well recommended if you want a local spot outside the crowds of the pubs in the Latin Quarter of Galway City Centre.

Went into Cullinane Inn there tonight, sat down for one moment whilst checking my phone and waiting…read morefor a mate, the older guy in there came over and rudely stated "are you ok" i said politely "yeah fine, ill get a beer in a minute im just waiting for a friend" he then continued that "this is for customers only", the place wasnt even busy. i thought it was the rudest thing ever. there are many bars in galway happy to take a guy's money and wont hound you instantly to run to the bar as soon as you enter the place. i got up and left, whilst telling him sarcastically " well done, thats great hospitality, i wont be coming back!!" i wont be going to Cullinanes again or will any of my mates. by the way im a local from salthill and a pub lover so that means this bar has lost out on a lot of money!

Walk around to the side of the building to enter*** This place was unique, decorated on every surface. Netting, shells, fishing floats all over the ceiling. Antiques all around, there was a trunk for a table in the area we sat at, then they opened a curtain to another room for overflow. We sat at a large table for our group that ventured over for the night. Great ambiance, I can't speak to the service because I didn't go up to the bar to order. We loved the live music and the experience we had with our friends that night.
