I must admit that I returned to Killingsworth after testing out another company. What stood out to me the most was the quality of service from Derrick Bennett. He was outstanding and he arrived, willing to tackle both indoor and outdoor challenges. I experienced the most value from this visit because he gave recommendations which no other service provider has given. He encouraged me to consider replacing the soil and my favorite plant unlike other providers. Other companies suggested I throw away my plant. . I have no intentions of doing that. I have been with Thomas now Killingsworth/ Anticmex for over 15 years. They are unrecognizable shell of their previous version. We were told by their field technician that he could not check our bait stations because he forgot a tool to open them. We still paid our bill after no termite inspection next quarter we were told that the stations were old and needed to be replace because they were broken by previous technicians opening them with a screwdriver and broke them. Still paid our bill with no inspection again. The technician then told us to call and schedule a replacement that not to worry it's all in the cost. So, we call and schedule the replacement only to have someone call later to inform us that we need to pay $270 for new stations that were broken by the previous technician. I tried to explain to the women on the call and all she would say is she is just the messenger. So no inspection for 6 months on termites and now they have the nerve to ask for addtional payment. i never missed a payment for 15 years! I have completely lost trust with this company and would warn anyone to stay far away. read more

They use to be one of the best but now they are one of the worst, apparently after they got bought out by a pest control conglomerate. Found a roach, wanted the inside sprayed carefully since we have a dog. They told me they would do it when they do the soon to be scheduled spray. I told them to knock when they are here. We have been a customer since 2019 before Thomas Pest Control was bought out by Killingsworth Environmental and now it's been a while since they were bought out by Anticimex. When you are a customer a certain level of trust is given. When our family had an emergency (wasps / nest in the bathroom fan) this trust was tested and unfounded. A call left at 8am on the emergency line went unanswered. A followup call at 10:30am and finally a call at 12:30pm led to a "best we can do" being almost 2 weeks away. We found a different company via a friend with much better customer service. We called and cancelled our service with this company and would highly recommend others do the same. Their "retention specialist" called back only after we were driven to handle the emergency ourselves. They simply cannot be trusted when you need them. read more

Been using Killingsworth pest service for 18 months and have been fairly pleased with their service for termites and pest services. I know it depends greatly on the technician you get, but this last time Chris did a great job in treating for ants around the outside of the house. He explained what type of ants I was seeing, how to treat for them, and why I was seeing them. I was impressed with his knowledge and willingness to take the time to explain so much. I haven't used Killingsworth for any other services, but so far for the pest service, they seem to do a good job and I will see if I can request specific technicians in the future. read more

The customer service provided by Killingsworth is horrible. I had a termite inspection scheduled in advance and was told on the phone the technician would arrive between 10and Noon. I called at 12:30 and was told that the service was actually scheduled between 10a and 1p. When they hadn't arrived by 1:30 I called again and spoke to someone who put me on hold while she called the technician. I was on hold over 15 minutes and finally hung up and called back and explained my frustration. I was promised a call back by the representative once they figured out what was going on. A technician finally called me at 2:30 and told me he was on the way. He arrived around 3:30. He said there was a problem with the office and scheduling and was embarrassed with the problem I had with the scheduling which was clearly not his fault. This is not my first poor review of Killingsworth but it will likely be the last as I am now searching for a new service provider. This has been the norm with Killingsworth ever since they bought Clark's Termite & Pest Control. Boy do I miss Clark's! If you are considering using Killingsworth I do NOT recommend them due to the extremely poor customer service and shady billing practices. They bill you weeks before you receive service, try to schedule your service before it is due, and only give you a 24 hour (or less) notice when they are coming for pest control service. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The Clark's technician's are the BEST!! But Killingsworth customer service, office, and policy management is abhorrent. read more

I'm not sure what's going on with Killingsworth, but their customer service is abysmal. It is very difficult to get someone on the phone, and some of the automated options just keep you on hold and eventually hang up on you. And my biggest beef with them is their pricing in recent years on termite bond renewals. I've had a termite bond with them for 18 years and the annual renewal fees have inched up over the years which is expected due to inflation. But in 2021 I paid $207, was charged $360 in 2022 (74% increase) and $392.40 in 2023 (9% increase). That's nigh to unethical, as they would know that to go elsewhere and get a termite bond would require a big up-front payout. But at this point, it's probably worth it, as I would save in time due to their ridiculous renewal rates. Besides, heaven only knows what it will be next year!!! read more

(This review is the same that I left on Google). No stars would be correct. This company's so-called "Customer Retention Supervisor" is a disgrace as a human being. I've had a monthly service contract since May, 2020, starting at $39. It's now $52.33. There is no warning or notice of price increases. I have rarely used the monthly service option. I called & emailed to cancel last week. I explained that as I rarely use it, it's not worth it. I told their "Customer Retention Supervisor" that I'm a 71 year old disabled veteran & getting a bit distracted, trying to take care of a 74 year old wife with multiple medical issues. (I won't mention her name, but her glib & facile emails, thanking me for "being a valued customer" are a true insult.). I wonder what her annual bonus is... I told her I'll be going on to local social media & explaining my experience & perhaps that small negative publicity might be worth being forgiven $52.33. Her reply was more of the same. I'll be printing those emails & sending them to corporate via certified mail, then perhaps SOCTV. I was told that the contract required a 30 day notice & so I'll be charged another $52.33. It may not seem like much, but we are all paying more for food & gas. We haven't seen our children & grandson in over a year, as we cannot afford to travel. I just thought the public should know the true nature of Killingsworth & its corporate staff. They may do good work in pest control, but they are GREEDY & SARCASTIC, especially to an old man. read more

Very much the worst company I have ever used for lawn and weed control. They take over a week to respond to you and do nothing but lied to me about what I was paying for. Came out twice (first time did nothing) still have multiple weeds as before and sales rep (which i have in writing) told me aeration and seeding was included in plan then tried to charge another 325 to do it, amazing that I have a lawn care company (Carolina Turf) that does the same thing for a 3rd of their price. Don't use this company. I hired Killingsworth about three years ago for lawn care treatment after a friend recommended them. My experience was not good. My lawn still has lots of weeds. I cancelled my service in early May because the last straw was no lawn care service done in April because I guess in Killingsworth's world it rained everyday in April. My lawn looked terrible. The person who initially recommended this company was shocked to see it. I told him I was considering cancelling and he agreed that was the move to make. Other people were surprised to see what Killingsworth was taking $$$ to do. Add insult to injury, they still billed me after I spoke to someone to make sure the service was cancelled. Very dishonest and shady billing practices along with a mediocre at best product. You can literally buy Home Defense from Home Depot and it would work better and quicker than their product. That's what I had to do two months into service with them. They are now wanting payment for several months (5, to be exact) that they are saying wasn't collected even though they never even attempted to come inside my home to provide service. It is quite ironic that every recent review they have on Yelp is saying similar things. After years of lowering expectations and poor performance, I finally cut the cord with Killingsworth today. We have been on the Silver Package for years and every year we have been disappointed. Our yard is basically dirt and moss at this point. I drive by my neighbor's beautiful yards and see healthy thriving yards and then drive into mine and see dirt. We have paid thousands of dollars to Killingsworth over the years, and all my neighbors who literally do nothing but mow their grass have much more lush and green yards than mine. When I've called before, their general go-to cop out is that I should just water more. However, I installed a sprinkler system at great cost, and the results are still awful. The final straw occurred with their billing department. Their online billing and payment system has been down for months. And, the business office closes at 5:00. So, unless you want to leap back to the 80s and write checks, find a stamp, and go to the post office, I would suggest finding a different company--perhaps one competent enough to do business in 2019. I only regret that I didn't end this relationship sooner. read more

Killingsworth Termite Control has become completely indifferent to customer service. They texted me last Friday that they would be at my home the following Monday for the annual treatment. Monday and Tuesday came and went with Killingsworth being a big no show and no contact, so on Wednesday I called them. After waiting 12 minutes for someone to pick up they told me that my appointment had been rescheduled to today. I said "did it ever enter anyones mind that it might be a good idea to notify the customer that Killingsworth had unilaterally decided that they would move the appointment to Wednesday without any regard or concern for how that might impact the customer?" She said " well your appoint is today". Well now it is but I have only one text from your company and it says otherwise. What a poor way to run a company. Maybe they need to spend less on advertising and more in customer service. If you can't support your loyal customers, maybe you should not be spending your limited funds acquiring more. read more

We paid $160 for a one time visit to treat pest control outside our home. Mainly we had a carpenter ant problem. Though the Technician was professional and on time, the treatment did not resolve the pest problem at all. I called Customer Service only to be told that they don't guarantee a one time visit and I would need to sign up for a continuous service in order to get any sort of guarantee. Very disappointing! Do not use this company! Look at all the other bad reviews! On my first service they applied to much fertilizer/chemicals and killed part of my grass. On the second service they only applied fertilizer but not herbicide. I spent a month calling their offices and they kept saying someone would come out but they never did while a bunch of weeds grew all over my yard. He's been very patient and doesn't make me feel as if I'm inconveniencing him.
