The event staff is great. They really took care of our group and went above and beyond in so many ways. I'd definitely recommend this spot for an event - great value and good quality. So, the four stars are for the venue. On the other hand, we stayed the night of course. Our room was at street level and a decent size. But, It was pretty cold at night and the radiator was lifeless. The mattress was pretty hard too. Also, the bathroom fan was quite loud and took forever to turn itself off (no overide). Although the decor was pleasant enough, the room was slighly bleak looking (on a lighting level) and one of the lamps was not working so that was just one more thing. But, we were in and out of the room pretty quickly due to the celebration. If we had stayed longer a phone call would have remedied a couple of the 'issues' I'm sure! The main thing is that the event space, catering, staff and overall location and lobby ambience as well as the restaurant and bar are worth four stars and worth returning!

The Dylan is about 30 min from the city center but close to lots of restaurants and pubs. Their restaurant was top notch and the food was probably the best I had during my time in Dublin. The breakfast was also very high quality with delicious pastries. I recommend the Dylan breakfast. It came with the most yummy hashbrowns (I had to order more). The people here are also so friendly and helpful. I felt very well taken care of.

Pros - Very comfortable rooms with great amenities (huge flat screen TV, coffee making gear, stereo), spacious and practically designed bathroom, comfortable bed with top notch linens, helpful staff, clean throughout, easy transportation connections via taxi or bus, there's also a restaurant and bar on premises. Cons - The location is a bit distant from of the center, somewhat pricey for what you get, there was a huge banner on the outside of the hotel advertising a new night club being built...not sure how that will affect sleep quality going forward

The location was good, very walkable to lots or bars, restaurants and other popular spots but just far enough away to be a quiet area. A Luas stop was right next to the hotel as an added bonus. We arrived mid morning and thankfully were able to check in early. The room was small but had mostly everything we needed. There is literally no place to store your suitcase and very little hang up options and zero cabinets/ drawers to put away clothes, which is really my only complaint. The breakfast buffet had lots of options. They even brought me gluten free bread when I asked. The hotel was clean and overall pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable. Location was good.
