I did my research because the last chiropractor I had retired 6 years ago. But after some research, I decided to call and see if they are taking any new patients. The receptionist was very nice and professional. I setup the appointment, gave her my email and information and made the first appt. Brandon was good by himself. Now scheduling system almost impossible when you need it. Strange because when you go in hardly any patients. Yet they can't see you for even a One second adjustment. Maybe they think they want to portray the doctor environment of making you wait, but it's not working. Almost seems like fraud. I just started going to Kikuchi Chiropractic this year and let me tell you, what a difference it has made! I used to get tension headaches and tightness in my lower back. I came here on recommendation of my friend. His office takes HMSA insurance. Just have to pay for the $50 initial exam fee. Then he will go through, evaluate, and let you know a treatment plan for how often to come in initially and then how often to come in for maintenance. Example: I was asked to come in weekly for 6 weeks, then had an evaluation where I was asked to come in 2x a month for maintenance. Debbie the receptionist is very friendly and informative. I found this practice through Groupon as I was shopping for a chiropractor in Hawaii. I got Groupons from two different practices in Honolulu. The other guy was a complete and utter quack. Held me for a long period of time to present this Powerpoint presentation that seemed to over-promise what he was able to accomplish with chiropractic treatments. Tried to oversell me this hefty pre-paid package that would have me coming in 3x a week. On top of that, he told me I could take off my mask because he didn't care about "that kind of stuff". NEXT!!! Kikuchi Chiropractic was way different. I like how the importance of stretching and massage is emphasized along with the adjustments. Dr. Kikuchi is pretty chill and I vibed with him way better than that nut job. His rates are affordable for out of pocket patients and he suggests me to come in every 2 weeks rather than 3x/week like that other dude! I went to my regular massage therapist on the same day I got my first adjustment from Dr. Kikuchi and she noted that she could tell a difference. I bought a Groupon for my husband to kikuchi chiropractor. The receptionist was upset that I scheduled my husband previously and he wasn't able to make it due to being called in to work. I ensured if it would be ok to use the Groupon and she said that was fine. I gave her my husbands name, date of birth, phone number etc. We scheduled for 08/05. I filled out the forms for my husband the day before and emailed it to the office. When my husband checked in the receptionist seemed to have an attitude problem. I was on FaceTime with him listening to her.It seemed like she was trying to find anyway to have a problem with his appointment. She asked my husband if he likes to be called by his legal name that I put on his paperwork or his middle name. Then she asked for his insurance card. She said that my husband actually used a Groupon with their office before and only 1 Groupon that includes 2 appointment can be used during an 18 month period. She said they don't accept his medical insurance therefore he would have to pay 50$ cash and couldn't use the Groupon. We had no idea that was the office he went to in the past which we also didn't remember when it was because we didn't know that was the same office he went to previously. The receptionist said that he use a Groupon in 9/2022 and had to pay cash right then. My husband felt humiliated because the receptionist was insinuating that my husband purposely tried to con them and get a discounted service thru Groupon. My husband told her his wife set this all up and made sure everything was good which I did. He left the office and the receptionist called me. She said she don't know how he was embarrassed when no one was in the office. But my husband was there. There doesn't need to be another person for him to be humiliated but she wanted to validate what she did and how she treated him. I was upset and told her I was listening the whole time on the phone and that she was rude. I told her if he came to them before and within their 18 month policy with a Groupon why did she not tell me that when I scheduled with her on the phone the week before. She said she didn't know until the day of the appointment. I asked her for her name so I could make a report, she wouldn't give me her name. She said she wanted to talk to the doctor to see what they can work out, my husband was humiliated and in pain at that point, so I told her no. She still refused to give me her name and hung up. I called back a little while later and asked for her name again, she still wouldn't give me her name and she asked me to hold on, the doctor Brandon Kikuchi came on the phone and asked how can he help me. I asked for his receptionist name. He didn't give me her name but asked what was the issue with my husband. I told him what happened which he kept cutting me off, He then said my husband used his middle name the first time he came with a Groupon which was on 09/08/22. I told him the receptionist had his birthdate and everything so she would've saw the duplicate records which she could've addressed over the phone. He said the 1st time my husband came he used another address so the first names and addresses was different because when I filled out the paperwork for this august appointment I wrote my address. (I had no idea what my husband wrote the 1st time he went because we wasn't married at the time and I didn't go in with him). I told Brandon same last name and same birthdate and his middle name as his first name but his receptionist didn't catch that a whole week until we drove to the appointment and the day of. He said yes she didn't put all that together till his appointment that day. Then I said ok same patient and it's within the 18 month period that I wasn't aware of, then where was my husbands 2nd appointment from His 1st Groupon? He said my husband came in on 09/13/22 for his 2nd appointment. Which he didn't. He then said yes he did and he had appointment notes from that day but my husband did not go in that day. He only came on 09/08/22. Brandon continued to try to argue with me. I told him it's clear he's saying one thing and we're saying another thing and the bottom line was not to argue but to get his rude and incompetent receptionist name. He said her name is Debbie. I told him thank you. He asked if there's anyway we could work something out. I told him definitely not. I paid for that Groupon at a discounted rate which was not a huge discount so I paid money for it. For a receptionist and doctor to try to make a patient out to be a con artist and trying to get discounted services when it doesn't fit within their policies is beyond me. this is not how you treat patients and take no accountability for his incompetent and rude staff. I requested a refund for my Groupon that she made me redeem before she started pretending that we was trying to scam her. I'm sure Dr. Kikuchi is a wonderful chiropractor, but how is a person suppose to find out if you can't make an appointment? I purchased an Amazon Local deal, called and left a voicemail message. There was no call back of any sort, tried again calling multiple times with no answer, now his voicemail is full. You know what that means when someones voicemail is full, he's not returning anyones call! I understand that he might be overwhelmed, but Hey just have the courtesy to call people back and tell them you're not taking anymore patients. I know for a fact that he's not on vacation either if you think I'm being too harsh in this review. As for Amazon Local refunding my money, after emailing them about how I wasted my time with this deal they responded within 3hrs with a refund. Now that's what I call great customer service. Bought a groupon, booked my appointment with Debra, who answered the phones/returned messages and kept me in mind when I tried to get a same day, and have continued coming. Even though my health insurance doesn't cover chiropractic appointments, Dr. Kikuchi offers a rate for those paying out of pocket. I do it once a month and seems to make me feel better. I come on time, but find that appointments run about 15 minutees late, so it ends up being like a 25 minute visit. I have watched some interesting Netflix docs while I've been there tho. read more

Very Highly Recommended !!! This was my first Chiropractic appointment and it was an Amazing experience. I went there in so much pain and could barely walk. I had a pinched nerve in my lower back, and my whole back was tight. I left feeling so much better and went from a 8-9 high pain level on a scale of 1-10 pain scale to a 2 of considerable lesser pain. I consider myself a strong person and I have gone to many chiropractors. I had hurt my back a long time ago and have had sporatic pains going down my right arm. I can't take OTC medications so the pain became very unbearable. The answers I got were "possible surgery" or contracts for long term care and I was sad because I have a 4 year old and the last thing I want is for someone to tell me that I am done with carrying him or to be on meds. Kikuchi I was never interested in looking for a chiropractor until my employer came back raving about hers. One day, hers was out of town so she asked someone for recommendations. Dr. Brandon Kikuchi was one of them and the only one who could see her on short notice for her intense wrist/thumb pain. Off she went! She saw him twice and managed to get some relief from the pain, though no miracles. Ever thankful, she raved about him, which got me intrigued, since I had a ton of neck and shoulder pain I've been living with. By now, I was so used to it I couldn't imagine a day without some sort of neck or shoulder issues. :( Based on stories of success from my boss from her various chiropractor appointments, I decided to give Dr. Kikuchi a try. The location was great since I live in the Kaimuki area as well. In the beginning it was difficult to schedule an initial consultation. I believe it was because Dr. Kikuchi was out of town for a bit right around the time I tried calling in. He did get back to me as soon as he could, though, thankfully. I went in to see him, he sent me to get x-rays, we "consulted"...and off we went. My treatment plan started at once a week, though I was surprised I needed to go in so often. He was right - it was needed! 6 months later, I am now doing a twice a month plan. The best thing about Dr. Kikuchi, other than the awesome work, is that he is relatively flexible on schedule. Dr. Kikuchi is great! I've gone to a chiropractor previously a few years ago, and when I compare the two, Dr. Kikuchi is hands down way better. At the time that I was seeing my prior chiropractor, I felt mostly uncomfortable due to the huge painting on the wall representing a part of a well known religious painting. Also you were in and out so quickly, I didn't bother paying for parking in the pay box they had for you to stuff money in according to your stall. And you didn't always have the same chiropractor when you went, until towards the end of my package of adjustments did they start having choose your doctor. Now, with the amount of time Dr. Kikuchi spends on me, I probably could've gotten adjusted a few times at my prior chiropractor. The location of his second office kinda sucks during pau hana traffic, but other than that, I like that he has late appointments and even Saturday appointments. Okay, so I was really skeptical about Chiropractics. I had even talked to my coworkers and family about seeing a chiropractor. They asked me why, and that made me question myself as to why "I even should see a chiropractor?" I purchased a groupon for a three chiropractic session with Dr. Kikuchi after convincing myself "just do it for the experience." I believe it was around 75 dollars, that let me tell you "thats a really amazing deal!" YOU EVEN GET A ONE TIME FREE MASSAGE. The massage was great. Hands down best massage ever. I don't remember the masseur's name, but he was really polite and professional. Asked me questions to feel out what kind of massage I was looking for and what best fits what your body NEEDS. Again really good massage. Debra is very kind and she schedules the appointments and handles the payments. All the vibes I feel from her is awesomeness. Their office is a five minute drive from my place, so super convenient. Parking is right in front with ample amounts of stalls. Up the stairs to the second floor and first door straight ahead. Inside the office is really simple and basic, almost feels 'old" but I weirdly dig it. They have a show that plays outside on the tv, and the shows they choose to play for the patients is gnarly. Very insightful and amazing information we humans should watch more of. They also have anatomy and health books. Makes me really miss the health science field in college. The first visit I had to wait a bit longer than my original appointment time, Which is kind of the case most of the times, but it doesn't really bother me. So I meet Dr. Kikuchi, and he is very professional and polite, basically the whole team there is amazing. I told him that I had slept on the floor for ONE YEAR, and after the time being, I believe I damaged my right shoulder. I told him that I weight train at the gym and I feel and believe to see an imbalance while working out. I lastly said I think I see that my body doesn't have a correct posture. So he tells me to stand up and go into my normal posture, and he tells me something like "yea your posture needs to be fixed", but like professionally hahaha. So okay now I believe that yes this was the right choice. So we talk a bit more, skipping to the part where I lay down and he is feeling my shoulder and spine for my problems and concerns, he tells me that he is going to preform the alignment. The alignment was a bit eye opening, and very astonishing. Astonishing because he pushed on my spine, and it CRACKED. The crack was thunderous, and after pushing on my back, he told me to turn to my sides and cracked the sides, as well as my neck, and it was over. After he sat my down and talked about working on my posture in life. So skipping to after the final alignment he talked about seeing him twice a month after offering me a student fee until I graduate college, what an amazing doctor, truly fantastic. So not until after the fourth visit that I told Dr. Kikuchi that my right shoulder feels to have more range of motion again. I lost count on which appointment number Im on, but here I am at home writing this while laughing on the side doing all this crazy range of motion exercises. Wow Im in disbelief on how stunted my right shoulder was, my gosh. And as to my posture, "YES YOU BETTER WEEeeEeEeeeEeeRK." Go give this amazing team a call and you will not regret it! read more

After more than a month of intermittent pain from my right hip and on down my right leg (which I initially thought it was from a slip and near fall), it was difficult to function normally. I wanted to get it corrected, using the minimal amount of free time that I had available. Without any referrals, I found through a search online, Dr. Brandon Kikuchi, who was located close to home, on Kapahulu Avenue. He was able to see me on the same day I inquired. An x-ray was done right there in the same office building. After going over the x-ray with me, explaining (in simple, easy to understand language) what was the reason for the pain, he did his work while spelling out what he was doing. Very professional, and yet, very easy going. It did not take long, maybe 30 minutes, to get me feeling so much better. I can honestly say that I would recommend him to everyone. Very unethical practices when it comes to billing! My husband purchased and used pre-paid Groupon promotion for his 2 adjustments at Kikuchi office. A few weeks later we received a notice from our medical insurance that Kikuchi office has billed them for my husband's 2 visits (that he already pre-paid for with Groupon). When my husband was in Kikuchi's office filling out the forms prior to adjustments, he specifically stated the he should not fill out the insurance form as he is paying with Groupon, but the staff informed him that insurance information is just for future records to keep on file... Lo and behold, later they used this information (behind our backs) to double dip - once from the pre-paid Groupon and then our insurance, robbing us of 2 future chiropractic services as we only have 12 of them covered by insurance per year. Such a scam move from a supposedly highly rated doctor's office. What a shame! read more

When I did, I explained I had a coupon for a massage and he set an appointment for me to come in. I went in and he takes me into the back office and tells me his massage therapist quit a while ago and that he could offer me two chiropractic adjustments instead. I told him I already had a chiropractor. He said he'd call me when he got another massage therapist hired. Never heard from the guy again. Avoid him and go to someone more honest. read more
