Food 5/5. Service 1/5. I really wanted to like this place,…read morebut the poor service ruined the experience. The exterior is a nice building. I like the wraparound porch it has. When we walked in, we got seated without a wait. However, after we sat down, no server came to us. So, we waited and wrote down our orders on the pink sheet they give you to put in your orders. We kept waiting and still no one came to us. This was a red flag and made us change our mind to do à la carte instead of AYCE. If this is how long it takes for a server to even come and acknowledge us, we knew we would be waiting around for food and definitely not get our money's worth of food. A server finally came to our table to take our order and asked what we wanted to drink. I think her name was Sabrina because that's what it said on our receipt later on. We asked her for two waters. She left with the pink sheet. This is where there the service got worse. We sat around and waited for our waters. We waited and waited while we saw other tables who sat down after us get their beverages right after they ordered. We were patient and kept waiting, but it took a while and there was no sign of our server. I then had to flag down another server to tell them that we ordered a while ago and never got our waters. Finally, our server came with the waters. A minute later our appetizer of baked mussels came out. So the whole time we were waiting for our food to come out, we had no drinks. Luckily, the mussels were pretty tasty. After we finished our apps, we waited yet another long time for our rolls to come out. We saw our sever standing with her back against the wall, just laughing and chatting with another server. There was zero sense of urgency. Our rolls finally came out after this on one plate, instead of two, so I had to ask for extra plates. The rolls tasted fine. We got the California rolls and the two-in-one roll, which was spicy salmon topped with spicy tuna. Both tasted solid, pretty hard to mess up. We ran into another issue. Our server never once checked in on us nor did she refill our waters. My husband's cup was nearly empty when she brought it out the rolls, so she should've realized that he would need a refill. After we finished our food, once again we were waiting a long time for our server to get our bill. We finally saw her and tried to flag her down, but she didn't notice us. Finally, she came and got us the bill after yet another long wait. Overall, the food is delightful. The service was not. This horrendously slow and unprofessional service justifies why you should not do all-you-can-eat here. Our server continuously ignored us. Had we done AYCE, we wouldn't be able to put in other orders because our server could not be found. I would only order takeout here. The poor service really ruins the experience.

Awesome sushi spot! We came here on a Friday evening. I noticed they were pretty understaffed…read more There was a bartender/employee doing all of the pickup orders. There was only one server in the entire restaurant handling seven different tables. Despite this, our food came out at a decent time. Our server was friendly. She checked on us multiple times and refilled our drinks twice. I really loved the rolls because of their rice to filling ratio. A huge pet peeve of mine is when there is too much rice on the outside and not a lot of meat or fillings on the inside. This place did not do that. We got the California and spicy salmon rolls. Both were generously filled. I also got the soft shelled crab as an app. Nice and crispy. For dessert, we got the fried ice cream and tempura banana. Both were delicious. If I am in the area, probably for shopping at the mall across the street, then I will definitely stop by this restaurant again!

I normally talk with the owner (congrats on the baby- I'm the flight attendant) and love their service. It's changed in the owner's leave and today Tina seemed frazzled and all over the place. She punched in my wrong order... it took longer than normal.... I thought it was weird when she went back to talk about my order and she repeated negamaki. I was charged a dollar more than the menu. Something was crossed out on the receipt. She asked if regular. I repeated lunch. MY RECEIPT says teriyaki. When I left she said "Negamaki, right" I agree.. thank her and hopped in an Uber. I get home and it isn't negamaki. No apology. She remembered me. She cut me off before I could even say that I ordered the negamaki. Then she told me that I said Negamaki.... then she said She told them negamaki and kept changing the story. She was rude, abrupt an apologetic. She said she put a credit on n the books. When I told her that I won't be back for weeks, she started call first. I asked for her name and I asked when the owner would be back and she said "Fri, Mon, and Wednesday." So I try the teriyaki and it was tough. This is not indicative of ehen the owner is there. My worst experience.

The quality of the food consistently top notch and the many choices/alternates one can add on a custom bowl is huge. I consistently order my favorite bowl: The Seafood Harvest. I love the fact that this bowl includes fresh diced avocado, roe and crispy fried shallots. (Take a look at my pix!). For an added bonus, they also make different type of Asian style teas and smoothies. The location is a super clean spot. You can tell that the owner named Ren and his wife who work there have so much pride in their restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend this location for your poke bowl meal!

Our server took a while to stop by for our drink orders and longer for our lunch order. It then took at least 10-15 minutes after soup/salad for our entrees to come out. I get it if the kitchen is busy but I watched my sushi platter sit on the bar for a while before our server came back to deliver it. He also didn't stop by much - hard to find to grab our bill. That took another 15 minutes. Frustrating as we saw other tables get helped promptly by many of the other servers. While this is a normally good, quick lunch spot, we didn't leave until maybe an hour and a half later. The food was okay but not worth the poor service. I did hear that the chicken hibachi was good but would've been better with yum yum and ginger sauce like what's available at other restaurants. Maybe just a one off but we won't return soon.

We started with an order of fresh rolls, and they were excellent with a very tasty peanut sauce on the side. I also got a cucumber salad, which was a heaping amount of cucumber slices in a slightly sweet/vinegary watery dressing, and figured I'd take half of it home later, but we found that it was a perfect counterpart to my husband's red curry chicken when he needed to cool his mouth! So naturally there was none left at the end but it was ultimately a terrific choice. Speaking of the red curry, it was very flavorful with nice moist chicken chunks and a perfect blend of spicy and savory. His only minor complaint was that there were an awful lot of green peppers included (not his favorite veggie), but I imagine they can go light on those if requested. We also got a tom kha soup, which was creamy and very coconutty, and delicious. Finally, I tried the Mount Fuji sushi, and that was fantastic. Thin slices of crab in a spicy mayo topped off the 'mountain' and the sushi pieces were slightly warm which was a nice change, but altogether they were so creamy and just melted in my mouth. Honestly I was so impressed with that choice I'm hesitant to try something else, but next time we come by I'll have to because I'm sure there are other awesome options waiting for me.
