Very good cafe at corporate center. Great for lunch - looks nice, and tastes wonderful and feels healthy.

I noticed that the folks in the neighborhood like to gather here and hang out. Love the community feeling! I have ordered a variety of dishes, but I have to say the chilaquiles are my favorite with carnitas. The pork is tender and juicy! Their coffee is decent, although I like mine a lot stronger. Overall, I've been happy with my experience and definitely plan on returning!

The food and service has always been good. Today, we ordered Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa, Corned Beef Hash, and sides of hashbrowns and 2 pancakes (instead of toast). The Chilaquiles were very good and the over easy eggs were perfect. The carnitas were tender and nicely seasoned. The housemade corned beef cubes were tender and the diced pan fried potatoes had a nice latin seasoning blend. I just wish the hash had diced bell peppers and onions. I also wish the poached eggs I asked for with the corned beef hash were cooked properly. I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.

As with other Colectivo locations, the menu rotates with seasonal coffees and food items. The cold brew with cold foam is my latest go-to and the vanilla cold foam here was just right, not too sweet or overwhelming with vanilla flavor. We grabbed the coffees to go but although the cafe was busy, there was still ample seating because of the large space.

I noticed 2 large coffee drinks made and slid over to the pickup area; they were in exactly the same paper cups, but neither were labeled. How were they to know which drink belonged to whom? I wondered.‍ Oh well, sure hope they did. I ordered a flat white, something I'd heard great things about online. However, this one was not a good way to start my journey. This flat white was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not sure what it was--if the coffee itself was over-roasted, or the milk went bad, or the machine (God forbid) was not clean--but the drink tasted burnt, bitter, highly acidic, and just "off," giving a weird unpleasant sourness at the back of my tongue. It's a good thing Collectivo serves flat whites in their smallest size, because if it had been any larger, I could not/would not have finished it. I'm by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I *am* a bit of a coffee snob. I love a good coffee. I love a well-made coffee. I know good coffee. I typically buy local freshly roasted beans, and make myself a coffee at least 1-2 a day at home. NONE of the coffee I've ever made at home--or that I've had out and about at any other shop--has tasted as bad as what I had at this particular Collectivo. I'm not saying they're all like that, I'm not even saying any other drink at this Collectivo is bad, but I anticipated--and expected--much better. I may give them another try in future, but only with GREAT trepidation. Of course, YMMV.

A business that started a few years ago, has been hitting the streets of Milwaukee for private events and local pop-up events. I found the opportunity to try it right here at lake effect coffee in west allis and what a hit! Its was $12 so my expectations were very high, but the drink did meet them. The matcha used was extremely high in quality and I could taste the mango and stick rice taste profiles individually. The service was also relative quick considering the fact that they were making the matcha in a traditional way. For a pop up, the ambiance inside Don Lucho was great and vibrating with excitement, which enhanced the experience. I would highly recommend trying this matcha at least once if in town!

I dont think furnace or air conditioners hanging ruin any experience here. It's a small location- obviously working with what they have- and didn't bother us in the least. Have a few high top chairs- and one table with low chairs... spring is here and the sun really brightens up their location. Friendly staff. Cookies are made by owners. Donuts by Grebe's. Happy to be able to have a little nosh with my coffee. It's a small shop- happy that they are here. Coffee from Madison, WI- the first mke location for the roaster. I'd say give them a chance....

It's a small place with cheerful blue paint on the outside, a couple of large front windows, and white awnings over each. Inside is a small area with a few tables and stools at the windows. The space felt cluttered, with portable air conditioners and a heater hanging from the ceiling, which made it feel disorganized and a bit uninviting. I was the only customer when I arrived. There's a menu board on the wall behind the counter. I didn't see my usual drink, but I was able to order a Chai Latte. It was well made -- hot, with extra foam. I would have liked to order a pastry, scone, croissant, or muffin, but the only options were a box of donuts and a jar of cookies. I know many people enjoy this place, and perhaps most customers stop in just to grab their coffee and go. However, I prefer a café where I can relax, enjoy a pastry, and read a book. For that kind of experience, this wasn't a good fit. Overall, not the kind of coffee shop experience I look for.
