I've been using Kiki's for several years and it's consistent, friendly and on-time/early. Prices are great as well. Heck, I even get called names when walking in. Her attitude is infectious in that if you didn't have the best of days when you first walked in, by the time you leave, you will be walking with a spring in your step. The quality of her work is unparalleled. If a spot is pointed out when the cloths are dropped off, she will work on it until it has been removed regardless of how long it takes. Additional charges for her time to remove spots are not part of her vocabulary. If the spot is unable to be removed by Kiki, it can't be removed by anyone. If there is an issue with your cloth that you didn't know about, Kiki will fix it. Kiki and her wonderful daughter Effie are a true tag team...how many mother-daughter ran businesses do you know in this day of age that tension isn't through the roof? Cleaned 1 pair of pants ($4.50) 2 jean waists taken in (2 x $9.50) They did a good job cleaning my pants, even got out a water stain out another cleaner didn't get out last time, score! Creases were on mark. Didn't really check to make sure they use biodegradable chemicals or are eco-friendly but I usually give cleaners some bonus points for doing so I wouldn't really take my jeans here to get the waists take in. They use darts which means they fold a triangle and sew the crease which is a really crude method. The darts were placed on the back above each back pocket which makes it really obvious to anyone looking at your butt. I'm tempted to undo the stitches because it bothers me so much. Overall this place was alright, the staff was super friendly and the cleaning job was excellent, would my dirty stuff here in a heartbeat. I'm sure they can hem jeans well but complex tailoring involving taking stuff part and putting it back together may be best suited elsewhere. Word of warning: THEY DO NO TAKE CREDIT. read more

This is one of the best businesses in Addison and it's personally my favorite dry cleaning service! I've been coming to Kiki's for about 4 years or so and, barring any crazy turn of events, will not go elsewhere. I only stop in every 6 months or so, but it's always a delight. Kiki is so sweet and takes such good care of my garments. I've brought in shirts, skirts, blouses, dresses and coats. They've all come back looking amazing and I find Kiki's to be affordable. I believe 2 fall coats were $25 or $30 last time. I just picked up 3 dresses for $30. She's always been able to get them back to me within a week, but she doesn't mind holding them a little longer for me since my schedule is hectic. I pretty much believe that if I can't wash and dry an item of clothing myself then it doesn't belong in my closet. I make some exceptions, and those items need exceptional care. I've gone to Kiki's for cleaning and alterations and never does she nor her staff disappoint. My latest visit I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered in a few areas and she even noticed a rip, which she said they will take care of. Being only my second time having a dress alter I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a little hectic since it's super warm in the cleaners and you would have to change in the bathroom then walk all the way up front to where the long standing mirror is so Kiki can pin my dress where I would need shortened or tightened. It was a bit unorthodox, but the dress turned out perfect! The perfect length for short heels or just flat sandals. I was extremely comfortable in my dress while dancing the night away. I brought what seemed to me like a mountain of very overdue dry cleaning to this cleaners. My first visit to drop off was interesting, in that the owner's daughter was treating me like family within five minutes of my arrival. I was advised that next time I should lint roll the pet hair off my coat (oops) to make cleaning easier, and I left with positive feels regarding the outcome of my clothing. And sure enough! I received a leather jacket (which they sent out specially for me), four skirts, two blazers, a pair of trousers, and a winter coat, cleaned and pressed, for $80 DOLLARS. WHAT A FREAKIN' DEAL. I felt like my mom did my laundry for me all over again when Kiki herself patted my cheek, told me I had great taste in color, and told me to run along. I had lived down the street from a CD One in the city previously, and absent the convenience of that, I had to find something new. Kiki's was it! I used to take my dry cleaning and shirts here and always had good service. The last time I brought my shirts in, I eventually discovered that they had swapped in a different shirt that was probably abandoned from a different customer(probably to try to replace one they lost or destroyed). The shirt I brought in was a dress shirt with French cuffs. The one they game me was a tuxedo shirt that needed studs to button (which I never owned or wanted). They even wrote my name (incorrectly) on the shirt they gave me to cover their tracks. It is apparent that they deliberately fabricated their story and premeditated the lie. Great service and timely! I had some stains on my suit and I took it to farmwood cleaners which is just a little further on lake st. They took around 2-3 weeks just to give me back my suit and say they tried everything (spot cleaning, etc) to get rid of them but nothing works. Don't remember how much I had to pay for all the service, but definitely was not pleased. I then gave my suit here at kiki's and she removed the stains, gave it back to me in less than 4 days, and it honestly looks brand new.
