Great helpful friendly staff, lovely grounds, incredible views, choose the exact unit you want to rent, family friendly yet quiet enough for seniors/couples. Best part is being able to walk out back to everything - restaurants, grocery store, shops, liquor store, etc. HPH is a gem.

My son and I were still in the pool on July 6th or 7th at ~8:20pm. I wasn't paying attention to the time. We were on vacation having a good time. Well I later realized the pool closes at 8pm and I genuinely hadn't noticed the posted sign. An employee (an elderly haole man) came outside and yelled "GET OUT OF THE POOL!!" to which I immediately replied, "OK I'm sorry sir, we are getting out, my apologies I wasn't aware of the time" and we IMMEDIATELY started leaving the pool. Despite that, he continued yelling "GET OUT OF THE POOL!!" I am not kidding he yelled at the top of his lungs at least 5x more times. To the point that I responded that we were already getting out and had apologized, and that repeating it was unnecessary. His response was, "Well, you guys don't know how to read the sign, so you clearly need to be told several times." Wow. I completely understand the pool has posted hours and have no issue being asked to leave once I realized it was closed. That part was my mistake. What was disappointing was the way my 11 year old son and I were treated after we immediately complied. There was no reason to repeatedly yell at us or make disrespectful comments. Guests deserve to be treated with courtesy, even when they've made an honest mistake. I hope management addresses how guests are spoken to, because this interaction left a very negative impression. As a suggestion, it might help to automatically turn the pool lights off (if this happened we would have left immediately) and/or disable the gate keypad when the pool closes. We honestly didn't realize the posted hours and those changes would make it much more obvious that the pool was closed while also preventing situations like this. Because of this my family and I will never stay here again. There are plenty of other options just as good or better on Maui. TLDR: The pool closes at 8pm! If in the pool after be prepared to get yelled at by the staff repeatedly with disrespectful comments made to you and your children.

And her response to our bad review was exaggerated and untruthful. She obviously took it personal even though we said she was kind in our review. I do not recommend her or their Kihei rental house. It had nothing to do with the extra $100 cleaning fee, that's just hilarious. For the money we paid to stay here the house just wasn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere if you want a good experience, clean house, and a stress free vacation and deposit refund. We also rented through another vacation rental company the week before renting Sherry's Kihei home right next door and had zero problems or complaints about them or from them. Infact I highly recommend them. Go check out Tropical Villa Vacations and ask for Yvonne. You will be much happier I promise!

She put my doubts to ease and kept in contact by email till I arrived to our rental property, on 08/05/2014. The property was beautiful and the pictures did not do it justice. The beach was 15 feet away, right in the back yard. When we go back, we will definitely be calling again. Thank you again, Sherry!

Amazing place and customer service…read more The villa is huge! It has two pools, a gym, jacuzzi, and much more. Stayed here for 5 nights and I enjoyed every minute of it. The beach in their backyard is the best beach IMO. The sand is perfect for there is no rocks or shells. The beach is nice and clean as well. I enjoyed that the shoppes were right across the villa for it made it easy to grab something to eat such as Longhis or Ruth Chris steak House. The shoppes also had a market with lots of food/drinks and items ranging from clothes to memorabilia. In addition, there are high end stores such as Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Gucci and more. The shoppes is a two story mall and it was very nice. The penthouse I stayed had 3 rooms and a huge kitchen and living area with a 1900-2000s game console. It came with plates, utensils and everything you need in a kitchen and in addition, it has a washer and dryer. The service there is excellent and quick. I liked how you get your own private parking spot as well. I recommend this place to everyone if you are staying in Maui.

We had the best time and got our accommodation through Emerald Kite. It was an excellent experience. The condo had just been remodeled and was very nice inside and was right on the beach. It was important for me to have internet service as I was working during my stay and what a view from my "temporary office"! The beach was great and the pool was hard to leave. We loved the amenities at the Royal Kahana. Whenever we had questions where to eat or what to do the team at Emerald Kite just jumped right in. Highly recommend Maui and the Emerald Kite Welcome team just helped make the trip better as we didnt know a lot about the area and with Emerald Kite's help, we made the most of our time! I would suggest if you don't live on the west coast stay at least 7 nights because the flight was long and takes a day or so to recover. Can't wait to take our grandkids back!

The concierge was amazing and provided us with helpful information and great recommendations. I would give the concierge service 10 stars if I could. Of everywhere we ate during our stay, these were our favorites. There are also several restaurants and shops within walking distance. We also had a wonderful facial and massage at Maui Massage. As for the property itself, it was just OK. The pool was fun, there were quite a few activities to enjoy, and the grounds looked like a lush tropical jungle. However, once you get closer to the rooms, you realize how dated and cluttered everything is. The carpets in the outdoor hallways also have a terrible smell. I understand the need for nonslip surfaces, but these carpets are just plain gross. We stayed in Building 6 in a one-bedroom unit with four people, and the room felt extremely overcrowded. We actually had to move some of the furniture onto the patio for the week just to make the space more manageable. The dishwasher also never seemed to get the dishes clean, so we felt like we were constantly washing them by hand. The bathtub was very small, and we had to request several basic items, including nonslip bath rugs, extra towels, a dish sponge, salt and pepper, and other things that should have already been provided. The staff was generally accommodating when we asked, but as a WorldMark owner for over 20 years, I shouldn't have to continually request basic amenities, especially after paying years of maintenance fees. All in all, I loved the location and enjoyed simply being on vacation. Unfortunately, the condition and setup of the unit left a lot to be desired. I'm glad we had the experience, but I would probably choose a different property for my next visit.
