I was surprised to see Kiez Rösterei missing from Yelp because they've been around for more than a year now and are otherwise quite up to snuff technologically, with a Facebook page and modern website.
This is where we get our coffee grounds every week. They offer whole beans from a variety of different suppliers, but their specialty is organic and fair trade, including a wide range from Kaffee Museum where the owner Stefan first started as a roaster in 2008. The shop also sells high-end coffee machines and supplies of all sorts. It's clear they are very serious about the stuff, but they don't look down their nose at you when you simply pick a small bag of beans and ask them to grind them for a commoner's french press. They always do it with a smile -- especially store manager Tahereh who will praise you for your selection or gently nudge you in the right direction if you're unsure about which of the many varieties to choose.
You can have a cup of coffee in the shop as well, where there is ample seating, wifi, and a few sweets to go with your drink. read more
