I love beautiful things that delight the eye, be it sights of nature or a pretty smiling face or a flower or a butterfly.......or artistic creations. Perhaps the latter especially, because creativity speaks of the deepest callings of souls.
As I sat in Mick's Cafe yesterday, enjoying my lunch, I was impressed with the mirrors & chandeliers that surrounded me. I checked out the tags to discover each one is for sale, from the shop right next door. That's when I glanced to my left and saw the second entrance to Kier Design (see photo), where a lighted chandelier display appeared like a sudden sunrise on an overcast day.
Of course I went in after I finished my meal. I didn't ask nearly enough questions, as I was so busy looking at the interesting objects all around me......but I think I was speaking to Heidi, the owner of this new shop that features "European antiques, furniture, lighting, garden equipment and statuary".
I was told that the beautiful chandeliers are vintage, come from Europe, and have been refurbished & rewired. Wish I'd snapped a pic of the huge round one that had been painstaking redone. It was breathtaking.
I also was enamored with the Murano glass lamps, wow.
These pieces speak for themselves, so do treat yourself to a visit to this shop. It's uplifting just to be there. read more
