I went knowing what I needed for all the ladies on my Christmas list and the ladies there was so attentive and helpful that I was in and out in five minutes. Really unhappy with the customer service here. I went to this particular one with a friend several…read moreweeks earlier and checked out a couple of products. One of the products I checked out was foundation. Let me start out with the fact that while I was here with my friend, no one offered to help me even though there was only one customer looking at make up being helped already, the other two girls were talking the entire time ignoring my friend and I. After checking out the foundation and liking it I decided I would purchase it when I got paid. Two weeks later I came back with my husband. I was ignored again, for almost 10 minutes I looked around at other stuff and not once was asked if I needed help. Finally I walked over and picked up the foundation that I wanted, and showed it to my husband. A lady came out of nowhere who work there, and said "please don't touch that it's not a tester, The testers are over there. ". I was taken aback by her rude attitude and so was my husband. However I sucked it up and walked over to where she had pointed to. I showed the foundation to my husband and then decided I would purchase it. My husband left to go get food and I walked up to the counter register area to purchase the foundation. I told the ladies he exact number and the fact that it was the foundation in the glass bottle and she said she would go get it for me. She came back with it in a black box, and rung it up and placed it in a MAC bag. It came a little higher than I thought it should but I assumed perhaps I had looked at the wrong price ticket. I paid for my product and met my husband at the food court. In the middle of eating, I took the box out of the bag and opened it up to take a peek at my purchase only to be disappointed. It was the wrong thing, it was not even foundation, it was some sort of moisturizer. Now I understood why the price had come up differently. But I know that I had given her the exact number of the foundation shade I wanted and even said the word foundation. After finishing eating I had to go back to return it, and I was met with more attitude when I said she gave me the wrong item. Not only did she try to claim that I had asked for moisturizer, she also acted as if I was inconveniencing her by having to do the switch. Finally we made the switch and I was refunded the six dollar difference and I left. Once I got into the car before we left I opened to make sure that it was the right product and it appeared to be so. However once I got home the next day when I tried to use it I realized she had sold me the tester! The cap was broken, there was smudges on the bottle, and you could clearly see that there was some foundation in the little pump hole meaning it had been used already! Very upsetting experience, I will be returning the foundation, and never shopping at this counter again.

After purchasing the sample pots from Monave, I was able to find the PERFECT shade for my skin in their loose mineral foundation. Not only is the makeup beautiful in application, but it is IDEAL for those of us who suffer from hyper-sensitivity/acne/ or just general reactivity to the mass number of ingredients found in most cosmetics today--even so called "natural" formulations. Their focus on diversity of shade range is beyond appreciated and the personal outreach from the staff to ensure their customers find what they need, is truly a gift. Thank you, Monave!

Sometimes I get a facial too and those are always really well done and professional. I highly recommend her even over other popular waxing spots in Arlington like European Wax Center. Bluemercury uses superior quality wax and you will feel the difference. Jessica is also really fun to talk to. Once I recommend her to my friends and coworkers they never look back- seriously! The front of the house staff is also polite when you call to schedule. I buy skin care products and they are always knowledgeable and have solid suggestions. If you're a member (for a facial one a month), the service is $65; for non-members, the facial is $80. They have a wash bar when you wash your hands and face before being taken into one of the treatment rooms. The 30-minute facial is customized based on your needs (mine was focused on extractions and LED light therapy). The customer service was great, and the treatment room was beautiful and comfortable (mine was the back treatment room which had enormous windows looking out onto the garden behind the building - those fall colors and trees made my treatment extra relaxing). There are a lot of options for facials now - a range of prices, lengths of treatment, a range of privacy offered by the spa. There isn't a Glowbar by me in Baltimore, so membership isn't an option for me. But I enjoyed my experience. It's nice to have a less expensive and quick option for a facial! It makes it easy to fit in a facial, even during a busy week or weekend.
