I accepted the estimate; then they said they could not get my job done until spring. I should have immediately moved on to another contractor; instead I waited until spring. March 1, 2021, I called to find out where I fit in their schedule. They had the nerve to tell me they would NOT HONOR THEIR ESTIMATE due to price increases AND their "best guess" would be 7-8 months before they could do the job. I immediately called Lowes and Lowes estimate was more than $1,000 less and completed a great job 4 weeks later. If you still think you want to use Best Construction, insist on a price guarantee, deadline completion date, and refundable deposit for cancellation. You can do better elsewhere.

Some reply, even to say he couldn't take the job, would have been preferable to complete radio silence. Not to mention just plain polite. He lost a repeat customer.

The work that was done on our bathroom and laundry room was done very poorly and far beyond the timeline we had discussed (by months and months)! Our shower water ran the OTHER direction when it was complete (AWAY from the drain and underneath the tiles was drenched! We had to fix this ourselves!), the quality of craftsmanship was incredibly poor (drywall seams left unfinished or poorly coated), and now less than a year later our floor tiles are popping. The work was done with little attention to detail, poor planning (ex. they FORGOT a plug for the dryer), and did not finish many things before they left. I had paid them in full (rookie mistake - I know this now!) because he claimed he "had no money to pay his workers". I assumed and trusted he grew up with the same moral standing that I had, however, I was sadly mistaken. He got very rude and belligerent as I addressed my concerns with him (which was incredibly unacceptable and stressful - especially in my first trimester of pregnancy). I even wrote him after he left, hoping he would own up to his mistakes and remedy them. However, all I received back was a letter stating that he would take me to court if we said anything negative about the business on social media.
