(That's 6x more than your average physician btw) Average fair cost for a mechanic is $100-$200 per hour. Don't waste your money here. My son who has a disability and is on SS went in because his car he had an extended warranty on broke down. They refused to fix it because they said, he didn't bring it in for maintenance. (I know someone who works for the warranty company who looked it up. They didn't even try to call and see about fixing it. No note on file of them EVER calling). Instead they leased him a car for 3 years for 950 something dollars a month! After finding this out, we promptly returned the car within hours of purchase! They said, he was stuck because he drove it off the lot. Ummm...no... I explained he has a disability that hinders his ability to comprehend things especially when there's a lot of mumbo-jumbo involved. They absolutely did not care. Refused to take back the elected car. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention he lives in an apartment complex... I inquired, how he is supposed to charge this stupid car. I was told there's LOTS of charging stations around town. Oh, and for added fun they told me they are FREE! I argued, no, no they are ABSOLUTELY NOT FREE! I was once again told yes they are. He won't have oil changes, or gas to pat for! Again, I argued my point of these charging stations not being free. I pointed out he'd have to leave the car and somehow get home, then get back to his car and drive or get to the 2 part time jobs he works. What's the point of having a car if you can't have it readily available???? A second person came and said, sorry we cannot take back the vehicle. He drove it off the lot and the bank okayed it. How???? How did the bank okay this?? He gets SS! You guys are going to bankrupt him and have to repo the vehicle. Then he's going to be without a car and not be able to afford another. You guys are going to ruin him! After, I said we'd take the car and trade it in Ken came out and said, I'll get you into another car for around 400 a month, but you have to take back. They brought around one car! That was his choice. He got no other choice. They pretty much said, take it or leave it! It was a Mini Cooper! They overpriced it, by thousands. His payment was NOT $400 it ended up being 600 plus the $355 dollars he had on his previous car. Now, we had a vehicle that doesn't work, and he's basically in the same predicament as with the electric car. My son asked if this vehicle had issues, he was told ABSOLUTELY not. Are all the fluids good? They answered, yes the fluids are good. The NEXT day lights on the dash came on. It wasn't one...it was multiple! He has the extended warranty. We call...they want to use his extended warranty to fix the car which means, he has a co-payment of between 50-100 dollars to fix it. We called Ken and he told my son, "This is all part of having a car!" Mmmm...no...no it isn't! He said, he won't charge him to get it fixed. We took the vehicle in and changed it out because of the lights. Again, no choice of vehicle. Just brought one around. It's another stupid electric car! They tool back the broken one and the other one with lights on. I called the bank, wish I would have right after this happened. They said my son who remind you is on SS makes 4,500 at his jobs and makes an additional 2,654 dollars a month! That's over 7,000 dollars a month! The bank okayed it because my son has good credit! They only went off his credit. Never verified income. The fact my son is on SS is never mentioned on the application form! You cannot get SS if you make 7,000+ dollars a month! My son is in a 3 year contract for 997 dollars a month now and won't even own his vehicle afterwards! Do not go to this place for your next vehicle! They are fraudulent! Will treat you like the dirt they walk on, look down on you, and lie to your face. Those FREE charging stations charged my son 50 dollars to charge his car! I brought my 2022 Nissan Frontier for service related a intelligent cruise control issue. Technical bulletin #NTB24-005. The issue is the transmission dramatically down shifts to over 5000 rpm when trying to maintain speed going up small hills. It is a common problem for 2022 and all 2023 models manufactured before June 13 2023. I bought mine brand new in Dec 2021. The fix is a software update performed at a dealership. The technician took it for a test drive and came back and told me there was nothing wrong. I pointed out the technical bulletin and he told me they ran the vehicle serial number and that mine already had the software update. Total lie. Mine was a very early 2022 and I was the original purchaser. I then took it to another Nissan dealer who patched in the new software and problem fixed. I called my insurance to get the money back that I never needed to put up for a car that wasn't mine and they told me to get a letter stating that the loan never went through I called rhe dealership back and I was told exactly this "we're through don't call back anymore" (super professional) so now I have coverage on a car that was never mine. Also I checked to see how many times my credit was pulled and it was pulled over 25+ times and now I have coverage on a car that I never owned or had. They really pressured me to write a good review. WTH? Several phone calls and emails asking for a good review, and a long sales talk that went with my first service 6 months after that. I bought a new Nissan Versa about a year ago. After asking the salesman to find a better loan for me, the "head honcho" comes out and says yeah he knows people from HP (which is where I work). He asks me what I need for payment terms (loan) and I repeated what I had said to the sales guy, a monthly payment of xx. He goes away a bit and comes back and says ok, he got it for me, told me the monthly payment, and I agreed. Signing the papers--there were a lot of papers, as always. I trusted that guy, but ended up signing papers that had a higher monthly payment than we had verbally agreed to. The woman handling the paper was rushing me a little and I should have taken my time. I was tired of all this until 2 days ago applied in a website as my last shoot then I got a phone call to refer me to Kiefer Volvo Corvallis, later on I got a phone call from a sales person from Kiefer Nissan of Albany, this guy was rude but nice and not reach any deal because the limited stock they have. In the afternoon my wife ask me to go to the branch in Corvallis, at the beginning I said no but he just convinced me, when I get there I had zero expectations, but I was thinking to take the very last change. I forgot to mention that my credit is very damaged. I hate to say this but I'm bad with the names, but the sales person, the sales manager and the financist are from another level, this guys knows how to treat and make customers to feel been trated with high level of respect. From Power I bee treated as a FICO number, the sales person there never get off his office to talk to me, but here at Kiefer, every body stop to say hi and tried to make feel really comfortable. To me was IMPOSIBLE to believe when they showed me the 2020 Honda CR-V EX-L they had for sale, and when I geet the keys, when I signed the agreement, when they shake my hands, every little thing was like to deal with family members. I remember when I purchased my Kia in California, that experience was totally great and at this time this guys exceed the quality of service. Worst car dealer I have ever dealt with. I will just do bullet points for sake of speed. 1) Wouldn't let us pick the car we wanted to test drive. Only they got to choose. 2) Didn't listen to a thing said that we needed in terms of price and payment. 3) Refused to tell us a price of any car until they ran the loan. 4) Caught them in many little lies and big lies. 5) Once a car was found that was liked the deal kept changing. It was not what was talked about at all. 6) Tried to get us to do bank fraud, by dropping my friend off the loan and just have me do it since I have great credit and they don't. Problem is that is illegal as I was not buying the car, just co-signing and they knew that. Paperwork has to show who and where the car will be in case the bank wants it back. They changed that on the paperwork without telling us. They said my place, but it would have been at my friends since they were the one buying. 7) Found out later if we took the illegal deal (not knowing it was illegal) my friend also would not have been able to get insurance on the car as she would not have been the legal owner. I would have had to do it so they set us up for insurance fraud as well. 8) When my friend said she would only buy a car if they use her or both of our credit they became insulting and calling us names. Said we wasted their time. 9) To go with 7 said it would be a few more minutes to get a loan approved either way. 10) As we were walking back to my car seconds later the salesperson and a higher up come and say my friend got everything she wanted, price, monthly payment and APR. (This is important later) also we wouldn't have to deal with the guy that was rude anymore. 11) Decided we were done with their crap so tried to leave and the higher up blocked my car so I couldn't. 12) The next day got a text begging us to come back. 13) On the day after that (so 2 days later) texted again, but said the price of the car was now $1,500 more than before and said they never said a price. That is where things are as of now. I am going to check with the State of Oregon to see if we can make a complaint about the dealership to the AG's office. read more

If you are brave enough to come here, do not do the following 1. NEVER give them your SSN before looking at the inventory no matter how many times they demand it. 2. Do not give them the keys to your car (they will disappear with them to keep you there) 3. Do not fall for any promotional mailers or contests they hold. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a car here with the help of a very nice salesman named Aaron. I'm a very indecisive person but he was exceptionally patient with me during the hours (yes, hours!) it took for me to choose a vehicle. I was given a fair price and all of the staff were super friendly. When I got the car home, there were a few minor things that I noticed were an issue. Namely, the auxiliary audio input wasn't working and the backlight for one of the temperature controls was out. I took it to Kiefer for service, at which time they drove me home because they were not sure how long it would take. After a few hours, everything was fixed that needed to be, and I haven't had any problems since then. Bottom line: the sales people and finance manager make customers feel welcome, vehicles are sold for a fair price, and I like that I can walk in there with a problem and have it taken care of satisfactorily! P.S. I think it's unfair for the previous reviewer to taint the ratings of Kiefer on the basis of where employees park their vehicles. I have had scheduled service for oil change 7 days ahead to be done at 730 am. I was the first one there and even after opening late, was told that it would be done around 1-2 pm. For oil change. I'd had service done on a vehicle last year and was happy with their service department, but the sales guys lied straight to my face when I went recently to look at a new car! Monte G. Riddle, he's the sales guy that I spoke with first. I looked at some cars, went on a test drive, and was satisfied with the experience so far. Anyway, we go to a desk inside to talk about the car. I tell him I am *not buying a car today*, but that I'd like a printout of information on it. He offers to give me an estimate of how much I'd pay per month if I used their financing, says it's something everyone does. I'm a first-time car buyer, so I didn't know any different. I said sure, but ONLY IF IT'S A SOFT INQUIRY ON MY CREDIT. I don't want to buy a car today! He said it was a soft inquiry, and that it would not show up on my credit report, no problem. Sure enough, the credit check showed up on my report as a hard inquiry! I called to speak to the manager once I saw my report, Ken. He said oops, we'll talk to Monte and try to correct this. He didn't know how Monte didn't know this would be a hard inquiry, since they do it all the time when trying to sell a car. I told him that I wasn't trying to buy a car, and he says they often do it anyway to change people's minds. Really?? A week goes by, and I call again. Ken says he's still working on it, he'll give me a call back later that day. Here I am, another week passed, STILL no call from Ken. Mind you I was only going up a step looking at the BASIC sentra which they had priced at 22000. Then was told my payments would be 200 a month higher, seriously. They could not try to get me in anything else new or used, they tried to toss me some crumbs to improve the deal, that was not what went in there looking for so I left. Service department thinks that making an appointment at 9:00 AM for an agreed upon 2-hour warranty service means they get to keep it all day. Mind you I had a 1:00 PM appointment the week before but canceled....so silly me, I figured, OK, if I bring it in at 9:00 AM they'll finish in the morning. Not so! When they told me that the appointment only means that that is when they expect the car in the shop (but not servicing) I knew they were flat out BS-ing. No apology, no excuse (like a sick mechanic), no phone call. At 3:45 they told me "it's up next". I asked what was the appointment time all about then? Why did I bother making an early appointment...heck, I could have used the car most of the day if I instead had made an appointment for 4:00 PM. What irks me to no end is their total BS about scheduling. Their web page says: "To schedule a service appointment with Kiefer Nissan, simply fill out our contact form online. We'll quickly confirm the details of your appointment, such as time and date..." OK, sounds great, right? You schedule at 9:00 for the SERVICE you better make sure they mean 9:00 AM for service...not 4:00 PM. Rude, disrespectful and obviously don't give a damn about the advertised schedule. read more

They intentionally mislead me by giving me a price for a vehicle and a monthly payment that reflected an added 3k warranty. I was clearly told the car came with the warranty however they added 3k to my loan price without being clear and honest. Partly my fault for having good faith in people and trust so lesson learned. I called to ask about the cost and was pretty much told i signed for it and the finance guy surely went over it. I conceded and was feeling poorly and got another call from the team to continue to argue with me about what they did and said that was misleading. I can understand why most of the reviews for Kiefer Nissan in Corvallis are one star only; in fact if yelp offered no stars I am sure that this would have been a preferable option for most of the people who did write reviews. The day came and my appointment was scheduled for first thing in the morning when the facility opened, assuming that it would be a typical service; meaning 30-45 minutes maximum. When I arrived, the first thing that I noticed is how horrible the parking situation is; they literally have vehicles parked every which way; making it nearly impossible to turn around in the parking area. After going into the service department and giving my information I asked the man working at the service counter how long it would take to service my vehicle, he told me one hour; there were three other people there at the time, so I assumed perhaps they were short staffed or that they were all occupied on the vehicles which were already there. I sat there for exactly 57 minutes, my vehicle was parked the entire time in the same spot which I had put it in when I pulled in. The individuals whom were there before me had left, in addition vehicles which showed up AFTER I had checked in and sat down for at least 15 minutes had already been taken back and brought up to leave. I was just about to get up and ask for my keys back to leave since it is highly unlikely that a service could be done in 3 short minutes; when someone came out and took my vehicle back into the service area. After another 37 minutes the service man walked up to me and said that they were 'almost done' and that they would be washing the car, I looked at him in a very " you have got to be kidding me" manner and he, in an questioning fashion said "unless you need to leave?" I politely told him I did not want them to wash my vehicle; in the back of my head I could only imagine how long that they would take to wash it after the amount of time which they had taken to get the vehicle into the back. So I sat there again, and waited for another 20 minutes before my vehicle was drove around and parked back out where I could see it. Now typically when you go to a car dealership for service they let you know when you vehicle is finished. That was not, the case here; in fact I had already seen two separate cars sit out in the lot while the service man was joking and talking with co workers for a good 20-25 minutes while the individuals who owned those vehicles unknowingly waited, to be told that their vehicle was finished. I did not plan on waiting this long for the man working there to let me know that, so I went up and stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before I was acknowledged, even though the service department man was standing right there, trying hard to ignore me before giving me a piece of paper a hasty apology for the long wait, which for some reason he found amusing, and my keys back. While sitting there waiting noticed a couple things, in addition to the lack of work being done. While I was watching cars being taken back I noticed how careless certain mechanics were with personal items in the vehicles, flinging things from the front seat into the back with little care; which is ironic because when you walk in there is a sign that states that they are not responsible for any damages, theft, etc. Secondly, and more inappropriately racism, I noticed a taller, bald man, in the sales area; why did he stick out? Well he was mocking a customer whom had called in, by pretending to have a very heavy Indian accent, then preceded to continue to use this same accent, while CONTINUING to mock the customer and joke around with his sales buddies while they all laughed in amusement after getting off of the phone. Whomever owns this dealership, or manages it; needs to do some serious retraining of their employees; although with the looks of the reviews posted by previous individuals it does not appear that this individual cares enough to do anything; especially if the same issues are still taking place. SO in conclusion STEER CLEAR of this dealership and go somewhere else, I will be driving out of my way to avoid this place in the future. After 5.5 hours and 5 different sales people they were then separated and conned into buying a truck for $20,000 (blue book value $7000). Not only did they not need a vehicle but that they needed ladders to climb into it. Multiple calls to the dealership after they realized they had been bamboozled were met with a brick wall. They finally went to the bank that financed the loan and the bank agreed that this was indeed a case of taking advantage of seniors. Do not bring your Volvo for service at Kiefer Nissan/Volvo of Corvallis - they'll inundate you with fake hand-addressed marketing letters in the mail offering to buy your Volvo and sell you a shitty Nissan. You'll get unending letters in the mail and a tart refusal, "That's not possible", if you call and ask to be removed from the mailing list. Shady marketing practices.
