Attempt 1 was just after we bought our house. They came, we paid them a few hundred $$ to do the estimate, they gave us an estimate, which we approved. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. More than a year passed and they never came and did the work. When we finally got a call back, they explained that an employee had died during that year, which somehow precluded them from communicating with us. Ok so we asked again for them to fix the fireplace. Although they'd already been here, and already given an estimate, and the fireplace had been unusable--they insisted they needed to come out again to give us an estimate. They charged over $400 to come out. Fine, we paid, they came out. The guy who came seemed knowledgeable and we were hopeful! But a month passed and there was no new estimate. I called repeatedly--no one ever answered or returned my call when I left a message. I emailed repeatedly; they did not respond. Finally, more than a month after coming out, I *finally* got someone on the phone and they sent an estimate. The estimate wasn't exactly what we'd discussed, and didn't include any timeline, so I replied with two simple questions. Again, no response. I repeatedly called. Repeatedly emailed. No response. It is now two months out, and they are unreachable and unresponsive. It's clear that they have no intention of doing the work. We've paid them over $700 just to be ghosted TWICE. As far as I'm concerned, charging that much to give an estimate, needing to be *constantly hounded* to actually give the estimate, and then disappearing is fraud.

Enviro, the manufacturer, has no solution but to go through the local distributor. Mark is the only one in this region, maybe even the state. I am out $7,000 (including installation). The gentleman who came out was very responsive, nice to talk to, and cleaned up his mess. I was told I would be needing a drone inspection of the chimney though as it was not easily accessible. I then was given a time when someone would stop by and inspect my chimney via drone. The time came and went and there was no contact from CCS. I then reached out again and was told everything looked fine and there were no issues. I asked if there were any pictures of the chimney they could share. I was told no they didn't take any. I then went back and looked on my outdoor camera and noticed that the truck arrived at my house at the day in question but no one ever left the truck. No drone ever exited the truck. Nothing was actually done and 5 mins after the truck arrived, the truck left. I then pointed this out to the owner/operator and all communication stopped. I would stay away from this company before investing thousands of dollars with them as you obviously cannot trust what they say. Beware.

Robert did a great job filling cracks and building the parge (protective layer inside the fireplace) while both Russ and Robert completed outside work, replacing the crown, improving the flues and flue caps.
