I called A-1 because my fan in the air handler was making noise. They came out and looked at the…read moreair handler and said the motor was bad. They gave us an estimate of $1200. My wife said the parts are under warranty and the tech said that's just labor. He stated it would take all day to take it apart and put back together. So labor was to be $1200 so my wife said "that ain't going to happen". So he wished her good luck then charged her $120. So I got a another technician to get the motor, squirrel cage, and housing. From start to finish it took 1 hour and 35 minutes for this job. So to me A-1 cooling was going to charging me $800 an hour.
