I sent a request to many hvac companies here, several replied. I went with A&S due to the reasonable cost and that they were able to come out within 2 days. Eury really put the work in to figure out what was wrong, and that's why I'm giving this review. He probably spent an hour diagnosing the problem, which is a good use of the $79 fee. Turns out it was indeed pepcos thermostat that was malfunctioning and not my furnace. Because i was impressed with his service, I bought a new thermostat and installation on site from Eury. I simply don't trust Pepco to take responsibility for their own product and get out here to fix it, so I paid the $250 charge to A&S to actually fix my problem.

We had a 10 year parts warranty, so expected to pay only labor, which Anthony & Son confirmed multiple times. We received an invoice by email on a Saturday for $1,000 - with no line item for what was parts or labor. The price seemed high for just the labor that David didn't expect to take long, and when we asked why the price was so high, Anthony and Son reduced the price but again merely sent an email without explanation, provided no line item and refused to look up the part to tell me the MSRP. When I called the person person manning the phones claimed they sent an invoice on Friday (they never did) and implied I should have signed immediately for them to order the part, and nothing could be done until Monday After further inquiries, (each time I had to call - there was never any follow up), the owner, Rafael, finally called me back on Monday, the day they were supposed to make the repairs, and after 3 days without heat. Rafael insisted I was lying about the timing of the invoice, and defended his assistant, who blamed the whole ordeal on me over the weekend. Rafael told me he was the owner of the business and didn't have to deal with people asking questions about the actual costs of parts versus labor. He then claimed a senior tech would have to come out to confirm the issue was actually the problem, and we'd have to wait even longer for our boiler to be repaired. At no point over the weekend was I told the initial diagnosis may be incorrect. I questioned why Anthony and Son kept shifting costs and steps to repair the issue, and Rafael then refused to come out to fix our boiler at all until I apologized for questioning his lack of transparency in pricing He cursed at me, calling me a "pain in the ass" and further insulted me, before hanging up the phone. It seems Anthony and Son ropes you in to a job, then banks on you paying them whatever they want just to get your heat working again, knowing you won't want to spend more time and money hiring another business to come out for a diagnostic and repair.

I called Honest Air after browsing a local social media group and saw they were recommended by alot…read moreof people. I called around 2:30 during the recent snow storm, but main level of my house had no heat as it stopped working. The office manager that answered the phone was very nice and helpful and communicated with me even after calling. The technician, Mitch was punctual, polite, and very knowledgeable. He educated me on a somewhat new system, while making quick work of the diagnosis and repair. All of this, while the service ticket was barely two hours old. Mitch quickly repaired everything and was extremely polite throughout the whole process. They have plenty of payment options (card, cash, or check). The only thing I can recommend is to perhaps follow-up with the customer after their service to ensure everything is still working properly, but that is very minor. I would use them again, 10/10 recommend.

The installation of our two mini split systems went smoothly, and the quality of work really shows. The installation took 2 days like they said it would with 2 outside units and 6 indoor units. It's hard to find companies these days that truly care about their customers AND their people, but Honest Air absolutely exceeded our expectations. That is just a bold-faced lie Sir. I talked to Matt all the time and mentioned the issues that I had at the time of installation. Nothing was done. The initial work order had something to the affect of move unit 2 feet to the right to accommodate the 4-inch box filter that I wanted installed because we had pets. I changed the location of where you wanted to put it so as to facilitate the drain from the unit, the running of which looks like crap (see picture) Why would I need a maintenance plan to change filters? The Filter never did fit correctly if you will look at your service records you will see that Daniel came to do a service to our unit and cobbled together something to keep the filter in place which it was not doing. Yes he wanted to open the closed system and remove the coil and take a chance introducing contaminates into it. How often do you open a sealed system just to clean a coil I don't believe I ever did. And He wanted to charge $1400 and take a day or so to do it. Again not true I asked if he could spray some calclean from the top of the coil as I have done for the last twenty years that I have been in the industry and none of the water the he sprinkled on the upper side of the coil even got into it. and the technician gave in and DOCUMENTED, that the cleaning was worthless And yet after saying that what he did was worthless he still charged me $419. I took my Electrical Apprenticeship in 1982 I took my HVAC Mechanic apprenticeship in 1990 and have been working in building maintenance since 1986. I am a professional for the last 40 years and If I did some work that was worthless, I could not in good consciousness charge the customer for that work. Your installation guys ran the thermostat in the open in my closet after they said they would put it inside the wall(the original tstat wire was in the closet and I wanted it in the wall ) I believe I addressed all the points you bought up on this not used forum. The installers (Scott and Nate) actually upgraded some of the existing plumbing in the process of the installation instead of the cut-and-paste work they probably could have done. Very pleased with the whole experience, and would not hesitate to use Waltz plumbing & heating again. At the time, I was actually surprised by the lack of investigation that was required to diagnose the issue but I didn't question it. My issue was partially fixed during this appointment, but unfortunately I did have to have another plumber come out to assess and they discovered there was a clogged. I think if more time was spent investigating the issue, I likely wouldn't of had to call on another plumber. I even mentioned that there had been water accumulating in the pan under my furnace, which I know can point to a clog.. but I felt this was somewhat ignored. Furthermore, I felt the owner of this company left me with really poor advice.. advising me to cover the return vent on my main level with a piece of cardboard, which was supposed to help cool down the upper level of my house quicker. He wasn't specific about how long to keep it covered, but I figured maybe 2 to 3 hours? Well after a couple hours my indoor ac unit starts making a terrible noise. At this point, I do some independent research only to discover that covering your return vent with a piece of cardboard is a terrible idea! So idk if the poor advice was with malicious intent and just out of ignorance. But that's my story.
