Downtown Markham is relatively new. The Pride of Canada carousel took roughly $30 million to create, thanks to a public art initiative and The Remington Group. There are so many cool aspects of this carousel. It is open year-round thanks to it being inside glass walls with a roof. The carousel features 44 characters created by Patrick Amiot, a junk-art sculptor, and painted by his wife, Brigitte Laurent. Daniel Horenberger created the ride's structure. The characters were crafted from recycled and repurposed items collected across Canada. There is a free outdoor skating rink. It's a good location, as there are many places to eat and drink, and warm up afterwards. The carousel requires getting a ticket to ride it. It's $3 for one ride. You save more when you get more tickets. It's $5 for 2 tickets. If you love riding this carousel, go for $20 for 10 tickets, which is the best bang for your money. One of these days, I'll go ride it. The check-in process was quick & efficient. We simply gave them our names and they verified that we were on the list and that we signed the waiver. The place is spacious!!! We went to the one at Oshawa Centre in the old Sears space. Lots of room to skate around without others getting in the way or not having enough space to get around other people. The music is amazing! Lots of 90s music which brought back a lot of fun memories. The interior was well-done! Lots of neon lights, disco balls and just tons of photo-ops. I'm already looking forward to finding another date to go back again.

We also liked that you had the option to bring your own roller skates and/or rollerblades to this rink. The price for renting skates was pretty expensive. $20 for the first hour, an additional $8 for the second hour and additional $5 for protective gear. Which is another $33 ON TOP of the admission fee... so you're probably better off bringing your own or buying a new pair. The interior was nicely decorated with neon lights, disco balls, and 2 walks of vinyl records. Totally Instagram worthy! The rink is quite small (an old H&M store), which is great for beginners, but gets a bit boring after a few rounds. They also provide "walkers" for absolute beginners. So don't be afraid to give it a try!

I tried to tell the gate person that I needed my wallet and wasn't trying leaving few times. They just standing there clueless, trying to tell me I cannot reenter. Rides were pretty fun. The games were fun and competitive when there are other people to play against. Each game was $5 to play the last time I visited. Food and merch were similar to event food and typically over priced.

So much fun, very organized and the space is huge! Although the space is broken up into a few sections (basketball, balance beam, foam pit, etc), the main trampoline area is open with no mesh barriers. This allows you to have a perfect view of your little ones from the perimeter. Parents are welcome to join as the this park is open to all ages but it's also nice to let the kids exert their energy while you conserve your own from a far :) . You are required to wear grip socks when jumping and they are available for purchase. They host several birthday parties daily but somehow it never feels overly crowded. There's always enough room to allow for a safe and fun experience. The staff are enthusiastic and I have seen them calmly address some minor injuries, quickly arriving to the scene with some ice. They recently made a change if you haven't visited the place in a while. They removed one of the two inflatable jumping areas and replaced it with something similar to the new Upla nets at Tree Top Trekking Parks. Lots of fun! Come once and you will definitely return.

At entrance, you MUST sign the computer waivers (to the LEFT)before paying at the front counter. You are also supposed to watch the safety video, which no one checks if you really have. This is a bit dangerous since I witnessed many people crossing trampoline squares while someone is bouncing. We bring our own non slip socks from taekwondo or other jump places and have never encountered a problem. I will remark Flying Squirrel socks are much nicer for grip pattern, style(army pink) and are longer to half up the calf muscle. The space is really large and so many neat areas to play. There are attendants at stations where there are height restrictions. Signs are posted everywhere but who reads these? Attendants also rotate stations which is smart, just like lifeguards. They all seemed nice when we have gone. They do not police strictly as many kids are doing gymnastics(flips, layouts, backhand springs) and little kids can run in the way. Lots of seating for parents, paid lockers at the front but most just drag around water bottles and backpacks. There's a small arcade at the front, 25 cents for ticket with some games requiring 9 tickets. Really like how they offer toddler pricing (up to 6 yr old) since these kiddos cannot do all the jumping stations. 90 mins is a good amount of time to sweat out their craziness.

The forest-like entry leading to the check in desk was super cute, check in process was quick (you'll need to sign a waiver for the kids) and after a wristband (to see which patrons' 2-hour play was up), you can remove your shoes, put them in the cubby hole and hang up your jackets (this was a plus since everyone has a bulky jacket during the winter months). There is a stage for kids to sing karaoke and record 360-degree dance videos. You can also check their schedules online as there are bands, princesses, face painting, magic show and the like. There are lots of picnic tables for parents to sit and for birthday parties. There are cute trees and 3D art scattered throughout so it feels like you're in a magical forest. My kids gravitated to the rides - you can ride a dinosaur or drive a 2-person LED-lit car. The vehicles move super slow so even toddlers. An manage them. You basically drive in a circle around this lit up floral/grass area. Right outside this space was the VR experience. Not only do you put on the VR glasses, but the entire 'car' moves (very gently). The first game I played was to shoot the red bugs - you look at the bug, then press the button on your seat to shoot them. I did ask if the VR experience can be ramped up if there are no kids aboard - and they do! We did a walk through of a creepy psychiatric hospital. There is also a huge ball pit area. There was a jungle gym within the ball pit and all along the walls were interactive play tubes. My kids also like the tabletop games, it's a huge touch screen running Android apps. There was also an interactive glowing tile floor. This was difficult to play cuz everyone was running in it at the same time and not really following the rules. They have a bunch of tables and chairs for people to sit on. They also have lockers but you'll need to bring your own lock. They also provide you with a small set of place to hang your coats if you're lucky. The staff member was kind enough to provide extra hangers for me when I asked. You have to buy aerosports socks, not from any other place like SkyZone. Go karts is extra but the line up is very long on the weekend. They provide you with the head net before putting on the helmet for hygiene purposes. You get 10 laps as well. There is a small children track too. I would come here again since I have a coupon I received from the birthday party and bring all the kids. It was quite fun despite the upper jungle gym being closed due to the zip line incident about a month ago. Only thing they need is to have more washroom stalls.
