Canada's Wonderland is a great place to be entertained, with all the amusement rides, shows, games, activities, food, and more. It's been a little while since I've been here and it was my first time in winter. It was cold! We had dinner at an AYCE buffet that was reserved for staff and their guests. Choices included turkey, breaded chicken, noodles, veggies, nachos, and more. The food was decent but our overall favourite was the squash soup - good flavour and perfect for the cold weather. After dinner, we wandered through the park, taking in some of the attractions. I was surprised to see so many of them open at this time of year, including one of the roller coasters. Huge kudos to the staff who were out in the frigid weather, especially in their costumes, and unheated attractions! Although WE were frozen, guests were having a great time, ice skating, enjoying all the attractions, especially the daily tree lighting show, and the food, even the frozen drinks! Tips: - Canada's Wonderland is a cashless park. Bring debit and credit cards. - If you are at the Courtyard, it starts promptly at 1:30 pm and ends equally as promptly at 2:30 pm. Yesterday, I visited Canada's Wonderland (CW) as part of a work event. We were treated to a buffet-style lunch at the Courtyard. The experience included entrance to the amusement park, parking, and lunch. I was last at CW in 2018 as part of a Yelp event, which broke my two-decade streak being away from this amusement park. This time, it only took me just over seven years to return. I reviewed the event back then. I never reviewed CW in general. Now is the time! Our event was mainly a buffet-style lunch at the Courtyard. It was nice returning. It started promptly at 1:30 pm. I went ahead and filled my plate up with food: - Beef burger patty - Hot dog on a bun - Coleslaw and leafy salad - Barbeque chicken breast - Mac and cheese - Vanilla ice cream cups (2) My manager found me as I was heading to the fountain drinks and condiments area. I got to meet 75% of his family, along with relatives visiting from Hong Kong. I got a Diet Coke. The cup was small. I went back a couple of times to refill. It was cold and fizzy. However, it had a tinny taste to it. We got our photos taken by my software developer colleague. I was a part of helping him out as a mentor. Such relationships pay off! My manager's family abandoned him and sat at one picnic table that was covered. He sat with me as we chatted over a leisurely lunch. My thoughts about what I ate: - The burger patty was dry. It required a lot of Diet Coke to wash it down. I could have hit someone with it and done a lot of damage. Thank goodness I didn't. - The hot dog was plump and yummy. The bun was on the almost-hard side. Not quite stale, but not soft. Diet Coke was needed to wash the bun down. - The coleslaw and leafy salad were excellent. They were flavourful, especially with the Italian dressing. - I love mac and cheese. It was creamy, but bland. It was such a shame. It required some sort of sharp cheddar. - The vanilla ice cream was yummy. I got two. It would have been nice to have more flavours available. The Courtyard ceased all food and drink at exactly 2:30 pm. It was like clockwork. I used the washroom near the Courtyard and by the Wonderland store before I left. They were decent. Parking was straightforward. Sadly, I was behind a car of five people. There was an issue with making payment. I sat behind this car for five minutes as others readily got in. The nice man at parking scanned my QR code. You need the QR code for parking, entering the park, and hitting the Courtyard. Entrance to the Courtyard requires that you show the actual ticket either digitally or printed out. The QR code wasn't scanned. I lucked out. A car pulled out in the regular parking lot, a row before preferred parking. I backed into it and headed to the entrance. I don't remember a security line to get through the metal detector. It was new to me. There was a lineup, but it did move well. There was another checkpoint if you had a bag. I didn't, so I got to hit the entrance area. There was a wait. I got my QR code scanned. I needed to get a photo taken before I hit the park. I was here for a short period, as I had another event to go to. I was satisfied doing what I did for three hours. I always need an arcade. I was content playing Pac-Man, hoops, and Skee-ball. You need to load a card with credits to play. I worked up a sweat. I got a bottled Diet Coke, which was $5.50. You expect expensive drinks and food here. I will say that it was icy cold and I had no complaints. I caught a diving show at Arthur's Baye in Medieval Faire. It was awesome! Wonderland has a good mix of food stands, gift shops, rides, candy stores, and more for any age. Bumper cars and the Bat are some of the rides that remain solid park staples. AlpenFury is the newest ride. It's a multi-launch roller coaster. This ride has been marketed as Canada's tallest, fastest, and longest launch coaster, featuring nine inversions and launching roller coaster fans out of Wonder Mountain. I did not do any rides. My parents need me in one piece as my mom continues to heal after surgery and recovery. There are plenty of places to take a breather and sit down after walking the park. I sat in front of Leviathan to drink my Diet Coke before soaking up more of the park. I hit the Wonderland store to get a souvenir. There were a lot of Peanuts merchandise, from mugs, to t-shirts. There were also Leviathan merchandise and CW-branded items, such as tumblers. I got a small Charlie Brown plushie. I don't own many of this Peanuts character. This plushie is my second Charlie Brown one. The weather was perfect. It was 23°C and partly sunny. I had a great time. It would have been nice if I had more time here, but I enjoyed the few hours that I had here to have lunch, play arcade games, and get a plushie as a souvenir. (303) read more

I hadn't been to this place over 10 years. They got more new activities. We were here because my friend got a four season pass and 2 free tickets with friends. We only had enough time to explore the kids zone. But that's been a lot of fun for my baby already. Due to age and height limitations, she could only get on some rides with parent. That's pretty enough for a baby. There was a meal pass and a drink pass as well. For purchasing a four season pass, pretty much would buy the meal pass and the drink pass. I've been a big fan of the Cedar Fair parks, and have made many visits to Kings Island over the years. While planning a trip to Toronto, we already had the Cedar Fair annual pass that allows entry to all of their parks, so we figured we'd spend a day at Canada's Wonderland since it was included. Y'all..... This park is gigantic. SO many roller coasters, areas, food.... everything. It would be easy to get lost in, it is that big! We were very impressed with how clean and well-kept this park was, which is one of the reasons we love Cedar Fair... their sister parks uphold the same standards. It's almost hard to spend just one day here because there is so much to do. We are coaster junkies so we spend a majority of our day doing that. It was definitely busy, but we never felt like the lines were absurdly long. They also hold different kinds of events here throughout the year. During our visit, there was a food festival going on so we got to try out a bunch of different Canadian dishes! I went on Sat, Aug 23 as a plus one for a corporate pass that included lunch buffet at 1:30pm and early access to the park at 9am (regular entry is 10am) and added on a Fast Lane Plus pass. However, when we checked in and arrived inside around 9:30am-9:45~am, the park staff was blocking us from entering the park, which caused a lot of confusion because our ticket should've allowed us early entrance. In the corporate email we received it said "This year we will have Early Ride allowing entrance to the park at 9am for Yukon Striker Area , this includes Yukon Striker, Tundra Twister, Lumberjack, Vortex." This really messed with our plan and made our early visit as part of the priority corporate group a bit pointless since we spent time trying to figure out where we could actually go. While we were blocked to go to Yukon Striker for early access, we were able to access Vortex with no line up and quickly rush to AlpenFury (the newest ride) with our Fast Lane Plus access at around 10am. It was about less than a 20min wait. But around 11am-3pm-ish AlpenFury seems to always wait around 1hr for Fast Lane Plus and about 1hr20mins for regular folks when I checked (Saturday). There is a single rider line and my friend was there around 11am and it as probably slightly faster than the the regular line. We're glad we got that ride done early! I think because of how new the ride is, everyone with Fast Lane pass are stuck lining up for AlpenFury whereas everything else like Leviathan, Behemoth, Yukon Striker all had minimal wait. Leviathan we had 0 wait and could just loop around and do it again. AlpenFury is a fun ride with fast acceleration and twisting tracks, which was interesting. Don't know if it's worth the 1.5hr wait though. However, I think my fav is still Leviathan. We also checked out some of the shows. The dog one is kind of similar to the CNE SuperDogs show but with a smaller stage, we only caught like 15 mins of it before we rushed to the Circus show. The circus was cool but similar to last year's performance. The mimes are always fun. Divers is my first time seeing their bit and it was interesting especially with the tightrope walker. Lastly, we had to finish with a funnel cake and definitely get the one funnel cake shop near the gate entrance as they do it the best and are very generous with the ice cream and funnel cake portion sizes. $19.20 including tax and for us, splitting it as a group of 4 was the perfect amount to end off the day. Tip: Download and login the Wonderland app to get up to date wait times for all the rides. Oh and my friend has a season pass and noted that it expires much earlier this year before Halloween. Only worth it to get a Season pass if you plan on going at least 3 times. Feedback to Wonderland: 1) The Wonderland app doesn't help you navigate to where the show locations are. I tried looking up the location "Showplace" for the dog show and I couldn't find a match and had to ask staff for directions. Make all the locations for the shows and performances searchable on the map! 2) Whoever cooked the ribs for the corporate lunch was WAY too heavy handed with the salt, making the ribs unpalatable and dry. We remember it being so much tastier last year. One of my friends had to throw out their ribs because it was too salty and I hate to see food to go to waste! The chicken breast was really tasty though. The lineup for lunch is faster this year but still feel like there should be 3-4 lines instead of two so it's quicker. We had a great time at Halloweeen Haunt 2025! The park was well decorated with spooky actors in certain areas. Rides were somewhat busy but nothing like the summer time. Hats and gloves are definately a good idea this time of year. Definately worth experiencing if you are a fan of Halloween thrills. read more

I've been visiting Canada's Wonderland frequently for the past two years, and the improvements are remarkable. Under Cedar Fair (and now Six Flags), the food and rides are much better compared to the Paramount era. Cedar Fair has invested heavily, adding world-class roller coasters like Behemoth, Leviathan, Yukon Striker, and soon Alpenfury. The food options have also improved with the addition of Lazy Bear Lodge and Grande World Eatery. Cons: The park gets very crowded during the summer. Overall, it's a fantastic place to visit, and I hope they continue to invest in food and shows. My last visit before these past two years was 15-20 years ago, and the transformation is impressive! read more

Our family members are CW season pass holders who graciously hooked us up with guest passes. We arrived on Sat, mid-afternoon, and parking was quite challenging (thanks to the gorgeous weather). Everyone ( under 10yo) had a blast, even though we only ended up staying for a couple hrs (dinner reservation). Love how convenient it is to drive here. Good times in my youth and now perennially with my friend's company as an adult, Wonderland is a quintessential, landmark institution that's known to all Toronto residents. One of my friends works for a big tech company and all the employees get free tickets every year (with possible +1's). The tickets include early bird 1 hr park access, free catered lunch and free parking. The last couple times I visited Wonderland was with said friend and that 1 hour early bird park access in the morning is a total game changer. On this recent visit, we went on Leviathan 5 times before gunning it over to Yukon Striker and Behemoth before the park officially opened at 10 am. By the time lunch rolled around, we had already tackled most of the big attractions and were able to avoid the massive lines. Speaking of lunch, throughout the years I feel like the catering quality has gone down steadily. They used to offer fried chicken in one of the trays but this year, it was replaced with very dry grilled chicken in a peppery (but also watery) sauce. In addition, the pastas were way overcooked compared to previous years. The best tasting thing was the coleslaw imo. Oh yea, there were both veggie and regular meat patty burgers being served but the trays had no labels so I had to ask a staff member which tray was the meat patties. Moreover, the chest freezers in the courtyard used to house strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice creams back in the mid 2010's. Near 2020 I rmbr they shrank the selection down to just chocolate and vanilla. On this most recent visit, only vanilla ice cream was available in the freezers throughout the courtyard. Big disappointment in my books. As far as the the actual amusement itself, it's always been good! The water park sometimes smells a lil funky (maybe from all the chlorine they have to keep filtering in and out) but you can literally spend hours and hours there alone. The rides have always been elite. Especially leviathan, which imo is the best ride in the park. If you're not always going to wonderland and you go once in a blue moon with general admission I'd actually recommend getting the fast lane/pass add-on as there's barely ever a line in that lane and you can actually double (sometimes even triple) the amount of riding you can do with it. Food and beverage are very obviously a ripoff at the park. The only thing I'd recommend is the funnel cakes. Those are absolutely HUGE and the turnover is high so those things are always fresh out the oil and crispy. Waters and beverages are like $5+ which is crazy. The chain stuff like pizza pizza and chicken tendies are like $25+ which is also egregious. Stay away from any of the food except the funnel cakes if you're on a budget. If you get super thirsty, then get a frozen lemonade/iced capp from the Timmie's near the medieval gate entrance. read more

I went here for a work event we rented out the catering space behind the theatre near the entrance. The organizer at Wonderland was easy to work with and answered all questions quickly. The food was what I expected for theme park grade. It was served as a buffet. I do wish the water was more clearly outlined on the drink machine and that there were juice options instead of just pop. The day we went happened to be the start of a kids event featuring costumed marvel and treehouse characters. Wonderland has a great kiddy section with many newer rides and a snoopy land. For the adults, there were rides of all different types, for casual or thrill seekers. I was disappointed that the former Top Gun coaster was closed for repair. We enjoyed the former tomb raider ride, cyclone and the former Italian job ride though miss the theatrics of the fire and the taxi that came out of no where that previously were part of the ride. We also made it to the water park. Locker rental was expensive $25 for a small locker. The water park itself has a bit of a weird smell, however, it was a heat wave day and we were just happy to have an aquatic respite. Overall we had a fun day and would return. read more

July 31, 2024 - recently (July 28, 2024) I dropped my 17yr old niece and 16yr old nephew off to wonderland and I was kinda sad that we didn't go with them. But I was so happy when my sister said she bought tickets for all of us to go a few days later!! Thanks sis I haven't been here in years, so it was nice to go back. While my niece and nephew left us to enjoy their (fast passes), I went a some kiddie rides with my little 3 yr old niece. I even played with her in the kiddie pool. But my baby girl tried to drown me quite a few times lol Eventually my niece asked me to go on some bigger rides with her. I was legit so confident that I could go on leviathan, but my niece said let's go on Behemoth first. The wait time was so long. I felt bad that she waited with me. She probably could have used her fast pass 5x on behemoth while I was in line. But eventually we got on, and wow. I screamed the entire time! I screamed so much I lost my voice. After that I was like back to kidsville we go. Lmao ... we did go on a few more rides with little to no wait times before going back to kidsville. We also bought the food pass (You get food every 1 1/2hrs), it was quite good, we used it about 5x but because of the rain we decided to leave at 7pm so we ordered food then and gave the ticket to some girls who were staying till closing (at least they could use it two more times around 8:30pm and 10pm) read more

Canada's Wonderland is an amusement park perfect for family. It's located in Vaughan, just north of Toronto, features more than 200 attractions including 18 roller coasters, two children's areas, and Splash Works, the 20-acre water park. It's like the equivalent of SixFlags. It was my first time here and came during the 4th of July holiday weekend and spend the entire day. General admission and annual holder passes have fair prices. Majority of the lines for rides were relatively modest and moves pretty quickly. Food and drinks prices were quite expensive as well as their souvenir merchandise. Parking lot was massive. Went here during Labour Day long weekend and it was packed! Not a huge fan of roller coasters with big drops so we spent most of our time in the water park. The slides were fun, but the lineups were long. Unfortunately the wave pool wasn't operating the actual waves because there were so many people. I would come back to try the lazy river! I did go on The Vortex and Thunder Run (my fave). Despite the long lines (an hour each to get on a ride) I still had a thrilling experience. Food wise, it is expensive eating at the park. We had pizza pizza and then burgers and hot dogs for dinner, which were not bad! If you have time to pack a picnic to have in the parking lot I would suggest it. They don't allow it inside the park though. The fireworks at night were a nice touch at the end of a long day. Getting out of the parking lot afterwards though was a pain - took over an hour lol. read more

Time for an update review after my first one in 2010! I love going to Canada's Wonderland even after all these years. There are so many more than just rides when you visit CW. There are shows, activities and different festivals. Different celebrations including Canada's Day, Octoberfest, Kid's Event, Theme Tasting Weekend, Halloween, Christmas... I usually come on weekdays, if you want to get on rides. For special occasions, the Park can be so crowded. Stay away when they have fireworks! Season pass with meal/drink plans probably the best options if you will visit the park more than 3 times. Food has improved a lot, especially with Lazy Bear Lounge opened last year (their smoked chicken is so good! and plenty of seating too!) Now going to CW is part of my Summer's ritual. But yes, they open for Winterfest till end of December! read more

I think overall we had a great time, but we'd make adjustments for next year to avoid just how bad this place is for our wallets. Maybe everyone already knows how much of a cash grab this park is, but as early 30-somethings we didn't realize how bad it had become. Everything is horribly marked up, everything. I'm not sure it's too bad if you have small kids, because some things are discounted or free. The Food: ------ Not great. The subway my wife and I had was terrible, way less filling and way more expensive. 0/10 would not recommend. The Dip n' Dots were just the best, nostalgic cup of childhood. It was great and I remember for a while the park didn't have any. So it was really nice to have them again next to the Coke cool zone. That being said, next time I'm having them after the rides. The Rides ------ Pretty fun. I had the horrible realization that I wasn't always brave on rides and might have struggled to get on the teacups. Maybe. But once I did, I realized how much I loved rides and we went on a good chunk of them. Nightmares was the best and also a nightmare. If you stand on the outside part, it kind of feels like you're going to get thrown out of the ride and die. Tea cups were my favourite. We went on them like 6 times, despite the fact that the cups have no cushion and hurt a lot. Overall: It's all fun, but expensive. Canada's Wonderland has the potential to have so much promise. A big park with many rides catering to the very young, and the young at heart. They have big thrill-seeking rides, as well as tamer rides for those who do not enjoy roller coasters. Their kidsville is massive, and has a plethora of rides geared to very young kids. Snoopyville is a hoot as well. I docked two stars because it is so incredibly busy, that you have to wait an hour or two hours for every ride. The only way to bypass this is to purchase a $200 fast pass. Many of the staff look bitter and jaded, do not help you and have an attitude problem. The best part of this park for me was kidsville and snoopyville, primarily because the lines are shorter. Waiting in line all day is certainly not my idea of fun, and I am hoping this park can come up with a solution to remedy the long lines. You even have to line up to enter the park, and that takes 20-30 minutes during the work week. Imagine the lines on the weekend! I recommend that each ride show the wait time, as now only the roller coasters do. Showcasing wait times would help customers to know how long their poor feet need to stand for under the blazing sun. read more

Date of Visit: July 24, 2025 Our first trip to Canada was sadly ruined by our experience at Canada's Wonderland. On 7/24/25, we arrived at the park and purchased tickets at 6:32 PM, spending $39.95 for parking and $195.44 for three guests. After enjoying just one ride, we were told to leave immediately due to inclement weather. That part we understand safety first but we were not offered any refund, nor any option to return and experience what we paid for. In total, we spent over $235 for one ride and were kicked out shortly after entry. The following day (7/25/25), we called to speak with someone about the situation. We were connected with a representative named Kristen, who was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Kristen refused to listen to my wife's concerns and repeatedly interrupted her, insisting, "The website says no refunds," even though we were not asking for a refund, we simply wanted the opportunity to come back and enjoy the park another day. When we asked to speak with a supervisor, Kristen placed us on hold for an extended time and later claimed her shift lead was Candice, who refused to speak with us directly. Kristen returned to the line and kept repeating the same script over and over. When we informed her that we were recording the call, she threatened to hang up, then backtracked and again reiterated their no-refund policy without offering any empathy, courtesy, or alternative solution. To make matters worse, we also noticed that the Go-Kart attraction requires an extra $12 per person, even though we already paid for "all-day rides." That's misleading, especially for families already paying premium entry fees. Cool shows with cute decorations! I absolutely adore the decorations and flowers and all that other jazz throughout the park. Lovely, I tell ya. Service is also decent, not too much and not too little. Service in the kiddo area can get a little rude though, sometimes it's best to stay out of there. Architecture is fantastic and rides aren't boring, exciting and jittery. Food is also tasty, I enjoyed my ice cream cone very much. A nice place in Canada for family fun. read more

I have been to Canada's Wonderland (waterpark & rides) multiple times during summertime, but this was my first time attending the Winter Fest. I was amazed by how much effort has been put in place for the decorations and lightings. I loved it all. The kidZville was the most crowded spot here. All the rides were open and kids were enjoying their time. They also have a few rides for adults. It's an old tradition of ours to have a Funnel Cake every time we go here and we tried the gingerbread funnel cake this time. I would say I like the Strawberry Funnel Cake better. read more

The food wasn't all that good but for the dining plan you definitely get your moneys worth. I wish there was more variety for food as 2-3 menu items were always the same with exceptions. Manchu Wok was pretty bad though not gonna lie, maybe got a bad batch! However the rides are absolutely insane, besides the lines which are tough to get rid of it's just an unreal experience and totally worth it, especially the season pass! read more

We're back, and we're in line, and we ride, and had a really, really, really good time. Canada's Wonderland has re-opened after a 1.5 year hiatus allowing visitors and season passholders alike to rejoice! The rides are back in action. The lines become more packed throughout the day following the new reservation system. All of the outdoor thrill and kids rides seem to be open whereas the indoor rides have stayed closed which is understandable. The kids are pleased just to be able to enjoy their favourite rides again spaced out from other park guests. The food stalls are also reduced with the lower number of visitors permitted inside, so be prepared to trek around for an open option. You can definitely tell based on the available spots in the parking lot and shorter lines. They're still working out some kinks for the rides & live shows, so let's hope it gets better from here! For safety measures, face masks are required except when dining or at the water park. It can get hot but if folks in DisneyWorld can put up with it, who are we to complain about the extra precaution. The park and rides are all at reduced capacity at the moment, which may perhaps expand after the next reopening phase in Ontario. read more

Waterpark was closed when it said it was available online, tried to get a refund but couldn't. This is bad, knowing half of the group I was in only came for the waterpark. We ended up skipping all the rides because the other person and I aren't fans of rides. read more

I feel so lucky to have a world-class amusement park in Vaughan. The rides are best-in-class to rival and Six Flags, and there's an amazing new ride coming in 2025. I find the food over-priced, but I do have a meal plan since I go often. If you can get there early in the morning, the lines are shorter. Also a fantastic kids area. read more

A world class theme park that isn't too far away from Toronto. There are great rides for little kids and adults. If you are a fan of roller coasters, then there are some top-tier ones at this park. In 2025 there's an even more epic ride being released, which stacks the ride count even more. The food can be pricey, like all theme parks, so be ready for that. I'm writing this review as I'm waiting in line to get on the Leviathan! It's 2021. Lockdown is on stage 3. Wonderland is open but you need to reserve a spot beforehand. Park is not as crowded as it used to be which is a plus if you ask me. I strongly recommend 2021 season pass. There aren't many places to go to during summer. Plus your 2021 season pass is valid for 2022 as well! Yep you heard that right! Get a Golden pass now it's a no brainer! read more

If you like being shoulder to shoulder all day in mass crowds and 4hr lineups for a single roller coaster, this is the place for you. Also I hope you like lining up for everything, I mean everything! They let too many ppl into this zoo due to greed and it has lost all its magic from when I was a child. Be prepared to spend lots of money in this nightmare as well, and you'll receive little back from it. (Food is shite and overpriced, and beer is $14 and you don't even get the can, it comes in a plastic crap cup and gets as warm as coffee in 5mins) Men, listen to me, the wife and kids are going to try to drag you here.
