I really like it here. They take the time to teach your child how to swim and properly complete each stroke. It doesn't happen overnight, but you can watch the progress yourself. It is a way to get weekly practice that progresses with your child. read more

This place is completely disorganized. Employees frequently cancel or reschedule sessions without notice, and promised updates or reports are rarely provided. You'll end up spending hundreds of dollars just to watch your kids splash around with little structure or instruction. There's never anyone available at the front desk, and it often feels like the entire place is run by unsupervised teenagers. Very disappointing experience overall. read more

had a birthday party here for my son. manager has no customer service skills. week of party i called to confirm, didnt know any recs for ordering pizza she was very short. day of party had no recal of our name, amount of people for party, table and chairs were not set up, or even that a party was going on and questioned me what we were doing as our hands were fully with birthday suplies. no help what so ever during party. read more

My daughter has only been working with KIDS First for a few weeks, but thus far we are exceedingly impressed. The team has been professional, friendly and supportive, and my daughter has enjoyed both her group lessons and her private ones. They have thus far been flexible in regards to scheduling changes as well, which is very much appreciated. After starting her on a level two, thye quickly realized she was a stronger swimmer and immediately moved her up - again, much appreciated! This has been a really great experience for CeCe thus far, and we look forward to the remainder of her lessons. read more

my boys started here couple months back. The older kid (4 years old) was so afraid of water even the water get on his face and head could make him cry. I have to fight with him every time give him a bath. I was so worried he would not get in the pool or just cry too much. I was wrong, after through half of the private class, he was able to willingly jump into a Hotel pool and have fun with other friends. The water on his face or head seemed no longer bother him. And most importantly, he feels comfortable with water confident with himself now. The instructor was great, she is so patient and nice and my son loves her. The customer service also very nice and they are willing to work with me on change or make up classes with instructors. I would definitely recommend this place to beginning learners. read more

Took my 1 year old daughter for 2 sessions (12 weeks) of Mommy and Me classes and she loved it! Cori was so great with the little ones and parents alike. I saw a huge change in my daughter's confidence in the water, and that is thanks to Cori's classes. Can I not give any star at all? This place is terrible, our children were not in the right class and they refused to move them. The kids went into class to learn strokes, but instead they were placed in a class to learn to blow bubbles. The management was INCREDIBLY rude and downright nasty. When I asked for a refund he raised his voice to me and our children! The kids got in the car after our encounter and asked "Do we have to go back again and see that mean man?" This place is completely pathetic, from the lessons themselves to the pathetic excuse of a manager. Other reviews on Google cite similar experiences. Wish I had seen them first. We had a great experience with Kids First in Exton. My kids started going when they were 3 and 5. The pool is shallow enough for my 3yo to stand, which helped her not be afraid of the water. The classes are structured and the teachers, while young, are certified. I felt my kids were placed in the appropriate levels. Once, we even moved him (down) after the second week because we agreed that he was not ready for what that class was going to do. I cant speak to the others here, but I had a pleasant experience with management. One thing I will say that made a big difference for our kids and their progression. We attended family swim, which is Saturday and Sunday nights. I dont know what it is but after having us in the same pool they are learning in, they made big improvements. We played but also tried to practice what we saw in class. (You watch each class from behind a one way mirror). We don't take lessons over the summer because of our schedule, but will be back in the fall! read more

Avoid at all cost. We had a quarter of our lessons canceled on us. The only way they reimburse is if you sign up for additional lessons and you get the missed ones for free. Had multiple instructors not show up or call out. I mean, what swim instructor has an out of town meeting the Monday after the Forth of July? Dishonest, inconsistent place that will gladly take your money. read more

Kids first is a great school and all the staff works very hard to please customers. Some customers are just impossible to please. I have witnessed ridiculous parents who seem to yell and complain when their children don't pass a level. Learning to swim is a process! The average level takes 3-4 times to pass. It is not your child's fault and it is not the instructors fault. All the instructors are wonderful. If you want something competitive and challenging, take your kid elsewhere. This school is for LEARNING to swim, not training future olympians. And for the lady who wrote the review about the birthday party and how awful it was. I can assure you, she has absolutely no idea what she's talking about. read more

This review is actually for the limerick location but they disabled the reviews on their Facebook page after I wrote this there, but everyone needs to know what a horrible company this is so I'm leaving it here as well. And judging from the other reviews, the Exton location doesn't seem to be much better. The customer service at this company is a total joke and it has been nothing but a nightmare to simply try and be reasonable with these people. I signed up for mommy and me swim classes and was overcharged by $16. They were refusing to correct their error stating it was "against their return policy" even though it was not a return that I was requesting. After arguing with multiple people, contacting the BBB, and contacting customer service, I finally got them to fix the overcharge. Now, out of what I can only assume is spite on the local managers part, they are refusing to let me take my make up class that everyone is entitled to as per their policy, bc they say I had to have made up my class during my session even though they verbatim told me to contact them after "May 2 when the next session starts". I call today and all of a sudden I'm no longer allowed to take the make up class I was told I could take "because they credited me my $16"...These two things have nothing at all to do with each other. The make up class is because I was on vacation for my last class. They told me to contact them after May 2. And now I'm no longer allowed to take the class. Sounds like somebody is a little spiteful. This company is beyond ridiculous. I have never in my life had such poor customer service. It's not like I'm asking for absurd things. I would like to be charged the correct amount of money and to be given the services that I paid for. I don't understand why this company has to make things so difficult. read more

We have had our 5 y/o daughter in these swim sessions for a few months now. Each group class has been well organized and instructors have been very polite and effective. Our daughter went from learning to float to basic front and back swimming, diving, and peace of mind for us parents in her progress. While I can't speak for other reviewers, I can tell you from attending classes each week that there are many parents that are completely unreasonable in my opinion with management. Some asking to have their kids moved up to next level before it is time...I have always seen the management handle these situations well. I see a lot of parents that are expecting the private lesson attention to their kids when paying for a group class. read more

So I am giving two stars for the swim lessons my son has attended. They are decent enough. He enjoys the warm water and to be able to get his energy out. The staff consists of uninterested teens, one insanely sweet young woman, and another awful woman who is just miserable. My first encounter with her was when my son and I were running late for class. We quickly got him changed and she was holding the door open with an impatient face. He hurried his walk (human nature) and she barked "no running" at him not once not twice but three times. It rubbed me wrong because I am a strict mom myself and my son did nothing wrong. He wasn't even running! I let it go because I usually don't have to interact with her. My sons attended four sessions here and we decided to have his birthday party at the swim school. When we walked in I was dismayed to see the grumpy woman at the counter. I hoped she wouldn't spend his party yelling at the children. To my delight she didn't. The party began with a teen lifeguard who stated the rules. She's is young and obviously wasn't interested in working on a Sunday. She did a good job lifeguarding though. She was good with the kids and was diligent to make sure everyone was safe. Here's where things get really annoying. One, there is no table for gifts or anywhere for people to set up food. It was as if they had never thrown a party there before. We were given no direction or customer service AT ALL! I've never paid that much for a party and not have the staff help with anything! Secondly, Ms. "Grump"asked me in the middle of the party to move our things and my sons gifts so she could clean and vacuum for a staff meeting. (Side note: What boss has 4pm staff meetings on a Sunday?! So Inconsiderate of the staff.) We felt like we were an inconvenience the entire party. I was also blown away that they wouldn't utilize the HOUR between our party and their staff meeting to clean! Why on earth would they do that while people are having a party!? So so so rude! My friends had to ask her not to vacuum or disrupt the party. Everyone there was disgusted with her behavior and the lack of customer service. A few friends who were potential clients will NOT be enrolling their kids and I will never ever return. The YMCA has a better program anyway. It's a shame, the place has potential but one bad egg will ruin everything. It was a subpar experience with the lessons and the party was down right embarrassing. read more

I wouldn't recommend sending your kids anywhere else to learn to swim! They always put the kids first, just like their name says. People who just want their kids to move through levels without actually learning anything - No it is not a "quick fix" program - we haven't liked that in the past anyway. It takes a little longer but kids learn to swim correctly and they have made our kids completely confident and proficient. read more

After three 6-week sessions (18 weeks in total), our 4 year old hadn't progressed at all. They kept telling us he couldn't hold his breath long enough to move to the next level, but made no attempt to help improve this skill. When I asked for more emphasis to be placed on holding breath under water, I was told that private lessons would be required for individual attention... even though holding breath is supposed to be a basic skill they are teaching and evaluating. Very disappointed in this school and their "philosophy" and will not be returning. read more

We are in our third session for our special needs four-year-old son. He is absolutely thriving and has developed a sense of confidence that is amazing for only being there 30 minutes a week. The pool is the perfect size and temperature, and the facility is clean and tidy. We have had great interactions with the staff and management. I'd highly recommend this swim school to anyone! read more
